*Cassy's POV*

"Your twin brother?" Asked Bofur. I nodded and smiled at Caspian.

"But I thought you said your brother went missing and everyone thought he was dead?" Asked Gloin.

"I thought so too." I said. "Until now."

"Well instead of standing here let's sit down near the fire and then we can talk." Suggested Gandalf. We all agreed and made our way over to the blazing fire that was still burning in the fireplace and sat on the ground near it. I pulled Caspian to sit next to me whilst Kili sat on my other side.

"Where have you been?" I asked turning to face Caspian.

"Well the last time I saw you was about two years ago, I was travelling with a group of rangers from the north and we were heading to Rivendell but when I got there Aunt Nanalia told me that you'd left to become Lord Dain's bodyguard, I heard about your reputation as a trained assassin, hunter and about your nickname as the 'Archer Queen'. I started travelling to the Iron Hills to see you when I was attacked by orcs, they held me prisoner for a couple of months but one day I managed to escape. By the time I reached the Iron Hills, Lord Dain told me that you'd left to go to the Shire to meet his cousin, Thorin Oakenshield and his friends. He told me about your quest and I've been travelling this way with the hopes of running into you." He said.

"Well you've been busy." I said. "And what are your plans now that you've found me?"

"I was actually hoping that I could join you, if it's alright with you?" Asked Caspian as he looked at Thorin.

Thorin studied him for a few moments, everyone just sat in silence waiting for him to speak. "Can you fight?" He asked.

"Yes, sir. I'm a trained knife thrower, I never miss my target. Not to mention I'm pretty good with a sword." Replied Caspian. We both had brilliant aim, whether it was with knives or arrows, Caspian preferred his knives whilst I prefer using my bow.

"I guess we could use another helping hand, but you must follow orders and do as I say." Said Thorin.

"Understood." He said.

"Well then, it looks like we have our seventeenth member of the company. Let me introduce you. I am Gandalf the Grey." Said Gandalf as he smiled at my brother who greeted him in return. "This is the leader of our company Thorin and his nephews Fili and Kili. That's Balin, Dwalin, Oin, Gloin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Ori, Nori, Dori and our burglar Bilbo Baggins."

"Nice to meet you all." Said Caspian.

We all sat where we were for the next hour, everyone asked Caspian questions and they got to know him a little better. I felt my eyes drooping slightly, I rested my head on Kili's shoulder, and stiffled a yawn. I was unbelievably tired and within minutes I fell asleep with my head on Kili's shoulder. I vaguely registered Kili carrying me into the other room and gently laid me on my bedroll before he covered me with my cloak. I smiled and opened my eyes, "Goodnight, Kili." I said.

He smiled, leant down and gently kissed me. "Goodnight, Cassy. Sweet dreams."

I immediately fell into a nice, peaceful sleep.

Meanwhile in the other room...

*Caspian's POV*

I laughed along with the others at a joke Bofur had told us. I turned and to look at Cassy but instead of seeing her laughing with the rest of us she was snuggled up to Kili with her head resting on his shoulder, she was sleeping. I was just about to stand and carry her into the other room but before I could Kili had gently picked her up and was carrying her into the other room instead. I smiled at the dwarf prince and then frowned. Was there something going on with those two? I wondered.

Kili's brother, Fili, must have seen my puzzled look because he shuffled over to me and whispered so only I could hear, "They like each other, and I mean like each other in a more than friends way."

"Seriously?" I asked.

"Yes. A few days ago they actually kissed, they've been quite coupley since but I have no idea what's actually going on." Fili replied smirking.

"My sister sure can pick them. They do seem to like each other though. I'm happy for them." I said.

"Yeah me too. Well, if they are actually going to be a couple then you and I will probably become good friends." Said Fili grinning.

"Yeah you're right. Truthfully Cassy has been the only real friend I've actually had." I said.

"Really? Well you have all of us now." He replied as he gestured to everyone else in the room.

"Right! Let's get some rest, we need to be up early in the morning." Said Thorin.

We all agreed and moved into the other room. I laid down near my sister who was fast asleep and after everyone was settled I fell into a peaceful sleep for once.

*Cassy's POV*

I slowly opened my eyes and caught sight of the sun beginning to rise in the distance. Most of the company were already awake and were stood with Beorn as he began packing up our supplies that he was giving us to get us through Mirkwood. I pulled back my cloak and stood up. After I had everything packed away I strapped on my weapons and my cloak and walked over to the others.

"Good morning." I said as I smiled at the others.

My cheery greeting was met by numerous mumbled 'mornings' and a grunt from Beorn. I kinda guessed why he sounded annoyed considering I did shoot him last night with numerous arrows.

"Um.. I'm sorry about shooting you Beorn, but in my defence you were trying to kill my twin brother." I said.

"Apology accepted. And I've already apologized to your brother for attacking him and I'm sorry for chasing you." He replied.

"Thank you. And you're forgiven." I said smiling up at the tall man.

"Come on! We're leaving!" Shouted Thorin.
