Chapter 7- Childish Immortals

3rd Person POV

Omega says nothing once Apollo finishes. He stiffens but unable to see his face his emotions remain unknown to the other occupants in the throne room. Everyone stares at him expectedly. He takes a breath before speaking.

"Who would be the hero or the traitor?" He asks.

"Well, during the Titan War Luke got some other demigods and they joined the Titans. Those who lived were all forgiven. And came back to camp," Annabeth informs. "As for the hero Percy-" her voice fails her and Thalia quickly takes over.

"He was the hero for both wars. Though he would be so modest he would deny it. But, Luke is dead and Percy disappeared a long time ago." As she speaks she glances at Poseidon who says nothing and looks crestfallen. Omega say nothing deep in thought. Shadow and Alpha watch him.

"Is that the only possibility?" Alpha asks. "No one else could fulfill the prophecy?"

"The two of them would make sense," Shadow comments. He then leans in and whispers something to the other two Soldiers. Both nod in reply.

"Roles reversed..." Omega says thinking. "Wouldn't that mean Percy is the traitor and Luke is the hero?" Everyone eyes each other warily. No answers and he continues.

"But Luke is dead. And Percy is missing..." He trails off as his mind reels. Shadow takes this information in. He then pulls the shadows to him and disappears.

"Where'd he go?" Hazel questions.

"How should we know?" Alpha returns. "You know Shadow. He does that."

"Somethings never change," She mutters.

"But how are they alive?" Athena asks.

"One is. One isn't exactly." Shadow announces coming back.

"That makes sense. Thanks Neeks," Alpha says.

"Don't call me Neeks. It's Shadow or Nico. As I was saying, Luke chose rebirth. He is alive but he is not Luke Castellan anymore. He's gone. As for Percy... Charon couldn't seem to agree if he is alive or not."

"You don't think Percy would..."

"He wouldn't," Omega snaps. He takes a breath to regain his composure before continuing. "His fatal flaw is loyalty. It must be someone else. And if Luke chose rebirth how is he part of it as well? Doesn't make sense."

"Well there was another war, perhaps did anyone betray you then?" Alpha asks. Shadow decides to answer this question.

"Well, Octavian is a b-"

"Language!" Interrupts Hera. Shadow rolls his eyes.

"I'm just stating a fact. Wait is he still alive?"

"He's the immortal augur," Frank pipes in. "Why?"

"No reason," Shadow says quickly with a big creepy smile on his face. "Ya know I've been meaning to ask Jester and Fuego something." Before anyone can question he is gone.

"I feel bad for this Octavian guy. Jester, Fuego and Shadow? Ouch," Alpha comments.

"Obviously nothing else is going to come from this meeting. I'm gonna make sure they don't kill Octavian... Without good reason," Omega says standing. He turns to Alpha. "Comin?"

"Nah. I challenged Revenge earlier to video game tournament. I gotta go figure out how to cheat," Alpha says. He takes a bow before turning to Omega who makes a portal which he steps through. Once he's gone Omega steps through his own portal.

Everyone else in the throne room is stunned. The three most powerful people just left in the middle of a war meeting. To get revenge and cheat on video games.

"Why, are most immortals childish?" Annabeth asks.

"Hey!"

Destroyer POV

"A prophecy was issued my lord," I say still in deep bow.

"Rise," Lord Ends deep voice says. I slowly stand to meet his pitch black eyes. "What do you know of this prophecy?"

"Nothing. All I know is it was issued. The one who told me failed to remeber. He has been... Dealt with." He stares at me drumming his fingers on his throne soundlessly.

"Do they have any plans?"

"Clueless," I say with a shake of my head. "It's pitiful really."

"Good. Find out this prophecy. Find all that you know about their plans. Then gather Tartarus, Gaea and your army. Be sure they both have an 'accident'. Also take out Omega."

"Yes my lord. Though I thought you had said you wanted Tartarus out of the way first? And you were saving Gaea."

"I did. But she is becoming a nuisance. I want her gone. I want both gone."

"It is done my lord." I bow once and I turn to leave.

"Destroyer?"

"Yes?" I ask turning back around.

"Be sure to make your presence obvious. Put Omega in his place." He tells me a large grin on his face. I can't help but let a smile creep across my face.

"You didn't even need to tell me."
