Chapter 13- Yes, We Will Fit
Chapter 13- Yes, We Will Fit
Athena POV
Silence meets Luke/Omega's words. He waves his hand once and Shadow and Alpha pull up their hoods and steps through a portal they created. He faces us Olympians.
"Better yet... gods, bring the Romans to Olympus. It will show how serious this truly is. Plus I'm pretty drained right now. Once we explain I will bring them here. Then shrouds shall be burned tomorrow. Chiron call mortal families and find any demigods anywhere who can help. My army should be here soon. Understood?" Many yeses chorus through those assembled. He nods and turns to Zeus. "Well?" Zeus scowls a bit but does as is told and we stand in the throne room. Luke, Reyna and Jason stand infront of our thrones. We quickly switch to our Roman aspects. A bunch of flashes fill the room as the Romans appear. They all begin to bicker then notice us and bow.
"All of you get up. There are more important things going right now," Jason barks. The Romans look confused but Jupiter repeats his son's words and the Romans stand. Jupiter turns to Omega (I'm gonna call them by codes names when they have their hoods up). Omega nods before continuing.
"You will be going to Camp Half-Blood-" A loud groan emits from the Romans.
"Why must we go with the Greeks!" Octavain yells. Many Romans shout in agreement.
"Hey!" Omega snaps. The room instantly silences.
"Shut up Augur! You should watch who your speaking to! Do you not remeber our last encounter?" Octavian pales. "I'm Greek by the way," Omega growls. He takes a breath before continuing.
"We are at war. Chaos' brother End wishes destroy the universe. So he may rebuild it and rule. Camp Half-Blood has just ended a battle. It did not end well. You will be working with the Greeks. If you want to survive. If you rather die, please raise your hand and return to your Camp." No one moves a muscle.
"That's what I thought. You will have the rest of the day to settle while the battle is being... Cleaned up. We burn shrouds tomorrow. Then the four armies will practice and train together as we prepare for the war. Understood?" The Romans nod their heads but one boy raises his hand. Omega motions for kid to ask.
"You said four armies. There is us. The Greeks. The Gods and who else?"
"My army of course," Omega answers with a smile. "We should get back to Camp. My second and third in command must have retrieved the troops by now." He snaps once and a portal opens again. I change back into Athena. And listen to the gasps as the Romans see the carnage of battle. Blood and monster dust lie everywhere. A few bodies are still hear and there. Apollo quickly rushes off to help. I stare at the demigods. They haven't fought in anything close to this. My mind starts reeling off different strategies we can use. Most include stalling until Chaos shows up, but that isn't an option. I am brought out of my thoughts when a large portal appears.
Shadow and Thunder walk at the front of over 1,000 soliders. Behind them stand four people. They have white spots on their armor as well. And behind them the ranks their armor also has red in it. All dressed in jet black armor much like the Elite Soliders. Though they have no hoods. They do have various weapons covering them. Some have swords. Some guns. I notice some have a blue or a green tint to their skin. Some have red skin. Some have all blue eyes. Others pointed ears. The list goes on.
"Soliders!" Omega greets walking forward. Shadow and Thunder flank beside him.
"Omega sir!" The Soliders shout in unison. I know his title but, I never really imagined that he controlled them all. Even stranger that he is just a place holder for Perseus. The boy who will be leading a bigger army against us...
"We are here to fight the hardest you have ever fought. This is our biggest enemy. End. Chaos brother. You have all heard the legends. You know he cannot win and he won't." Omega says loudly in a powerful, inspiring tone. Much contrasting him saying we don't have a chance of winning earlier.
"We fight for Chaos until the very end. No matter what. Understood!?"
"Yes sir! Omega sir!"
"Good," Omega says with a nod. He points over to where the Chaos cabin is. A flick of the wrist and it grows three times in size. With giant doors. It is about twice the size of my Father's cabin. Though I can't figure out how all of them will fit.
"Yes, we will fit Athena," Omega says looking at me. I say nothing and cross my arms.
"Troops go. Prepare. I shouldn't have to tell you what you need to do. Commanders. With the Elite. We need to talk." The commanders lead them into the cabin followed by the Elite. I watch as one by one they all disappear into the Cabin.
"I'm sure you all have questions," Omega says turning to us gods. "After the funerals," He says. He turns on his heel and soon disappears into the Cabin.
We then flash back to the throne room. We walk to briefly but I am my own thoughts the entire time. No matter what I can't seem to figure out a good strategy. Maybe, even though it pains me to say it I need speak to Omega.
I flash out of the throne room second to last. Poseidon remains. He stares at the floor thinking of his son. I slowly walk over and place a hand on his shoulder. His eyes flicker up at me for a second before returning to the floor. I sigh before speaking.
"I may not have been the nicest to Perseus. Though I do have respect for him. He is a brave warrior. Destroyer or not, he won't harm those he cares for. If you noticed during the battle he never killed a demigod. Those he killed were on his side. He only watched and fought Omega. He could have desperately harmed him and chose not to. He will be fine."
"Thank you Athena," He says quietly. I nod and flash to Camp Half-Blood. I walk quickly to the Chaos cabin. I go unoticed as many are to preoccupied to care. I knock on the door once before it swings open. I am faced with Omega who begins to shout.
"Enough Annabeth! I- Oh. Athena. What are you doing here?" Omega asks anger turning into curiosity.
"I need to speak with you. Though what has my daughter done?" I question.
"She's your daughter and she's persistent," He answers. "Come on in. We can talk upstairs." He says opening the door wider.
"Upstairs?" I ask, walking in. I gasp in surprise. This place is huge. It's bigger than a palace.
"Marvel at it on the way out. Obviously if it is serious it's better we talk now." I nod in agreement and I follow him down the halls.
