Chapter One

~I have been looking foward to writing a zombie apocalypse story, I'm excited because two of the characters are from Left 4 Dead 2 and I can't wait to write about one of them and another one of the characters. Really excited, hope you enjoy it.~

3 months after first infection. . .

All around the world, zombies walk the earth and the most dangerous ones hide in the shadows, ready to strike the nearest person that might have survived the apocalypse. A gun shot is heard by nearest of zombies; they begin running in the direction of the gunshot which is about five miles away.

Morgantown, West Virginia

Two figures strolled through the small town of Morgantown, West Virginia. No zombies lurked within the area they were in, they remained calm . . . for the time being.

"Aw man, Nick. I'm exhausted, can we rest just for a few minutes, please?" Ellis sighed as he lowered his head in a tired manner and closed his eyes for a minute.

"No, Ellis. I don't want to hear another word about how tired you are. We have to keep moving till we get to the next safe room, where ever the hell it may be. Probably miles away from here." Nick scolded Ellis as he kept his walking pace to a minimum.

Ellis just kept his head down and was silent for a few minutes until he spoke again.

"I can't believe Coach and Rochelle died. We could've escaped from the bridge together, but no. That stupid Tank just had to take them away from us!" Ellis sighed in an emotional way.

Nick sighed. "Ellis, I'm just as disappointed as you are. Rochelle and Coach meant so much to the both of us. I don't know if theres anyone else living in this infected world."

Ellis shrugged. "I don't know either, Nick . . . I wish we knew."

"I know, Ellis, I know." Nick said finally in a calm tone.

Suddenly, both Nick and Ellis rose their heads because they heard a faint growl. They both looked around and lifted the guns up. In Nick's hand was an Assult Rifle; an M-16, and in Ellis' hand was an AK-47.

"Nick, do you know what that was? That growl?" Ellis asked in a low whisper.

"I think it was the growl from a Tank." Nick said.

Ellis nodded and held his gun steady. Nick got into a crouch and got his Magnum Pistol out of its holder and threw his Assult Rifle in his shoulder gun holder. He could  feel the ground pound beneath his feet.

"Ellis, get ready to run and shoot, I'm gonna draw him out, understand?" Nick said as he lit a molotov.

"I understand, Nick." Ellis responded.

Nick approached to where he heard the Tank growl, it grew louder and more fierce as he approached. He got to an alley, where he saw the shadow of the Tank. Nick peeked around the corner and saw the Tank flailing his arms around. Nick threw the molotov into the alley and ran away from the entrance to it.

"Run, Ellis! Hurry!" Nick yelled as he began to reload his Assult Rifle.

The Tank emerged into the street; he was on fire. Both Nick and Ellis began running backwards and shooting at the Tank as much as they could. Ellis tripped and fell backwards. The Tank was headed right for him and he was still on fire. Nick stopped and ran back to Ellis to help him; he kept shooting the Tank to get him to die.

Once the Tank reached Ellis, he collasped, he was dead. Ellis was panting and he looked up at Nick; Nick's gun was thrown over his shoulder with him still holding the handle. Nick gave a little grin and held his hand down in front of Ellis to help him up. Ellis met his hand and grabbed it and Nick helped him up.

"You're not hurt, are you, Ellis?" Nick said as he inspected Ellis on his arms, legs and back.

"Nah, I'm not hurt. Are you?" Ellis asked him.

"Pssh, no. I threw the molotov and started running. You tripped and fell." Nick let out a small chuckle to how Ellis tripped.

"Shut up, Nick. That's not funny, I could've died." Ellis scolded Nick.

"But you didn't, did you?" Nick admited finally.

"Well no . . . But I could've . . ." Ellis sighed as he picked up his AK-47.

"Just get your ass in gear, we need to keep moving." Nick finally went back to his bossy self.

Ellis sighed and threw his AK over his shoulder and started walking after Nick, then Ellis stopped for a minute, hearing another growl, only this time he recognized this growl; it was a Hunter growl.

"Nick, hold it. I hear a Hunter." Ellis yelled to Nick.

"Pssh, please, Ellis, don't try to play jokes on me." Nick chuckled.

"No, man! I'm not kidding. I really do hear him!" Ellis yelled back to Nick in a frustrated tone.

Nick stopped walking and looked around the street and abandoned houses and couldn't see anything, but he did hear the Hunter. Nick reached for his Magnum, but out of the corner of his eye he saw the Hunter crawl out from behind an abandoned car and hurl himself at Nick.

Nick fell to ground face first and tried to reach for his Magnum but it was too far away from his hand's grasp.

The Hunter let out a loud screech and began scratching Nick's back. His claws tore open his shirt and flesh. Nick began screaming in pain and yelled for Ellis.

"Ellis, you idiot, help me!" Nick yelled in agony.

"Hold on, Nick! I'm coming." Ellis yelled back to Nick.

Ellis got his Dual Pistols from their holders and began shooting the Hunter multiple times in the arms and head. After almost a half a round of bullets, the Hunter died.

"Damn, Nick. You look horrible. . ." Ellis spoke finally after killing the Hunter.

"Not funny, Ellis." Nick scolded.

"Can we find somewhere to rest nooow?" Ellis begged with a grin.

"Fine. . ." Nick agreed finally with a scowl.

Later at an abandoned house. . .

Ellis had found a first aid kit in the abandoned house; he had Nick sit in the bedroom he was going to sleep in for the night. Amazingly, the house looked in a lot better shape inside then it did outside. Hardly anything was bloody; but now with Nick sitting on the hardwood floor, blood was beginning to drip from his wounds.

"Ughh . . . Ellis what's taking so long . . .?" Nick complained in pain.

"Hold on, Nick. I'm just patching some scratches up." Ellis replied.

"Well, hurry up. . . Before I bleed out. . ." Nick once again complained.

"Okay, okay. Sheesh." Ellis moaned as he walked into the bedroom where Nick sat.

"Take your shirt off, Nick. Your wounds are deep, I got to patch them up." Ellis calmly said as he sat on the floor.

Nick sighed and removed his bloody, white blazer. Then Nick unbuttoned his blue shirt and removed it; he winced in pain when the wound was exposed to air. Nick's back had three deep claw wounds and his chest and cheek had a few scratches from falling face first on the asphalt road.

"Hush, Nick. It'll be quick to fix. Your wounds are deep, but not deep enough to sew up. They'll heal fairly quickly, just few days rest will help you." Ellis spoke finally after inspecting his wounds.

"Thanks, Ellis." Nick spoke in a calm tone.

Ellis shrugged and grinned alittle,"Anytime, Nick."

Ellis got bandages and anti-infection spray. He sprayed the anti-infection spray on his friend's wounds; Nick groaned in pain, but after a minute, he stopped. Ellis wrapped bandages all the way around Nick's claw wounds and patched up his minor scratches.

"There, Nick. You're all patched up." Ellis spoke calmly.

"Thanks, Ellis." Nick moaned.

Nick stood up slowly and looked through the closet for a white suit and blue undershirt like he was wearing before; to his luck, he found it. He grinned when he found the right size suit and it was dry cleaned.

Ellis just stood there and rolled his eyes and did a face-palm when he saw Nick grin again.

"Just the right sized suit." Nick chuckled.

"Oh, please, Nick." Ellis laughed.

"Ellis get the hell out of my room you perv, get clean clothes on yourself." Nick demanded.

"Hahahaha, hold on let me catch my breath, Nick. Wait. . . I'm not done laughing yet." Ellis fell on the floor laughing his ass off.

Nick walked over to Ellis and began tapping his foot, but Ellis kept laughing. Nick sighed and gently kicked Ellis' jewels.

"Owww! What the hell, Nick?" Ellis moaned in pain as he grabbed his crotch.

"Well, if you want to keep those intact, I suggest you get your ass up off the floor and go change, please." Nick once again demanded.

"Oww, fine. . ." Ellis finally got up and waddled to his room where he would be sleeping.

When Ellis got into the bedroom he was going to be sleeping in, he looked through the drawers and closet for pajama pants to sleep in. To his luck, he found light blue plaid pajama pants to sleep in and clean boxers. And to wear for when they would leave he found a short sleeve shirt like the one he has on, only this one was light blue with darker blue sleeves. He also found tan, baggy jeans to wear along with dark brown boots.

Ellis change into his pajamas and removed his shirt to wash it since electricity was still on and working. He took his dirty clothes to the washer in the kitchen and began washing his clothes.

While Ellis was doing laundry; Nick was sitting in his bedroom in his white suit pants, he had removed his shoes and he was relaxing on the bed. His eyes were half open and his stomach rose and fell as he breathed calmly. His thoughts lay on Rochelle, he liked her very much, about after her death, it was hard for him to get over it.

A few hours later, after Nick and Ellis ate dinner, they went on the front porch with their pistols and began looking for zombies but were also having a round of cola so they wouldn't go thirsty.

"How many zombies you get, Ellis?" Nick asked challengingly.

"Fifteen. You?" Ellis replied to Nick in the same tone Nick said to him in.

"Twenty-one." Nick said with a smirk.

"Damn, you and your Magnum are a piece of work, Nick." Ellis commented.

"Yes, sir." Nick said as he twirled his pistol around on his index finger.

"Well, I'm heading to bed, Nick. It's getting late." Ellis said as he got up from sitting.

"Same. Be sure you get up at dawn so we can inspect the area, okay?" Nick replied.

Ellis gave a nod and headed into the house. Nick got up and started to stretch himself out. His abs flexed as his he stretched; after stretching, Nick headed into the house, closed the door and locked it.

Ellis was already in his bed, under the dark blue comforter. Nick went into his room and closed the door. He changed into black pajama pants he found before lying down earlier. Nick crawled into his dark green bed and right away he fell asleep.

~Well that's chapter one, took a while but I hope my fans will like this story as much as they love Kidnapped. Okay a couple things, yes they still have a electricity, in this story, on the two-hundredth day, the power will shut off on it's own. Second, like in the Left 4 Dead games, they'll say "healing" or "reloading" well in this they won't because that will drive me insane. And third, I won't be including all the special infected, only Hunters, Spitters, Tanks, Witches, a couple Boomers, Smokers and a few Chargers. Well I hope you guys will like this story. Cya. :)~
