So, this week's discussion is all about... Aarmau!
One of the most famous ships in the Aphmau community, alongside Travlyn and Zane~chan.
---
I personally don't care about this ship.
I know some people absolutely adore this ship, and some hate it with a burning passion.
Let's take a look at all the positives and the negatives of this ship;
POSITIVE:
OF JOINING THE AARMAU FANDOM:
➵ It's the most famous Aphmau ship; you won't get on the bad side of most of the Aphmau community.
➵ This ship has the most fan art, so you'll never run out of unnecessary shipping fuel.➵ You'll find an abundance of fanfics.
ACTUAL SHIP:
➵ The PDH part of it was pretty believable.
➵ It has the same story of how Jason and Jess met in real life, so that's cool.
➵ Aaron has done pretty stupid stuff for Aphmau, so he probably cares about her, unless he personally doesn't care about what other people think about him.
➵ They're pretty much canon in every series that has both of the characters, literally.
NEGATIVE:
OF JOINING THE AARMAU FANDOM:
➵ You are stereotyped by the older, more mature portion of the Aphmau fandom as a cringey nine-year-old, which is pretty true.
➵ You might get into heated arguments with more sophisticated fans about the ship, as it has caused some controversy before.
➵ Your innocent mind [if it is still innocent] will get tarnished by the unbelievable amount of Aarmau lemon/smut stories on the internet.
ACTUAL SHIP:
➵ It seems a bit forced, as they're the main ship for EVERY SERIES, and that Jason plays Aaron, and that Jess plays Aphmau. It's basically inevitable.
➵ Aaron sorta just appears all willy-milly. Like, he was the stranger, until he "fell" for Aphmau; they had fun, and now Aphmau's prego.
➵ They look like siblings. Don't lie to me, I know you think so, too.
➵ Aphmau is loved by all, adorable, and the good girl; Aaron is the packed, bad boy; they're pretty much a cliche couple.
---
I said I don't mind the ship, meaning I don't hate nor love the ship. It's pretty... meh, to me.
You are free to express your opinions in the comments, but please, do not act like a cringey nine-year-old.
Thanks for visiting the Aphmau Book Club!
