Vaggies pov

"Ok thanks for stopping by. Ugh" I leaned against the door in frustration as yet another potential client left.

"What's happening?" Lucifer popped his head in, accompanied by dad and Alastor.

"Well after beating the angels we've had a lot of new sinners coming over" Charlie explained.

"That's great" Lucifer beamed.

"Not exactly" Charlie sighed "once they hear about how much work reabilatation takes they leave. It's getting pretty frustrating" I nodded with tears in my eyes.

"You know what you girls need. A fun day out" dad wrapped his arms around me and Charlie "I'm going to take you girl's out for a day to de-stress"

"That sounds great Addie" Charlie forced a nervous smile. I told her she should start being more casual around my dad and it seems she took my advice.

"Addie?" Dad raised an eyebrow.

"I am so sorry that was so inappropriate-"

"Hah I love it. Good one char-char" he slapped her on the back.

"I guess he does prefer casual" Charlie muttered "well I'm just glad he likes me"

"That sounds like it could be fun" Lucifer smiled.

"Who the fuck says your coming?" Dad shot him a glare. He shrunk down under his gaze. They still can't get along!

"If I may your highness" alastor stepped in "Charlie may feel uncomfortable being alone with you. She'd probably feel more comfortable with her father there"

He folded his arms deep in thought "fine but you're coming too deer boy. I'm not being left alone with the prick"

"If you insist" he smiled patiently.

"I will go also" lute said firmly. She'd gotten pretty close to my dad since he saved her life. Her devotion to him was pretty sweet.

"Of course you are" he grinned "I told you I'd show you the great parts of hell and there's nothing cooler than a fucking theme park!" He turned to the rest of us proudly "alright gang let's go!"

Lucifer's pov

I wandered around the park, sneaking glanced at adam who was chatting away with the girls. Things have been tense with us for a long time but now that our daughters are dating we should at least try and get along. This could be the perfect chance to build that bridge.

"Hey lute" I leaned in to talk with her "could you give me and Adam some space? I'd like to talk with him alone"

"I will not let you hurt him" she pointed her spear at me with a glare.

"I don't want to hurt him" I put my hands up in defence "I just want a chance to fix our issues. Will you give me that chance?"

Reluctantly she lowered her spear "fine but I'll be watching you"

"That's fine by me!" I grinned as I ran up and grabbed Adams hand "come on let's do something fun!"

"Quit dragging me asshole!"

Alastors pov

I raised an eyebrow as the small boy dragged the king away. What could he be up to?

"You!" Lute pointed at me.

"Me?"

"You will help me survey the area in order to ensure Adams safety" before I could answer she grabbed me by the tie and dragged me away.

Alastor what have you gotten yourself into?

Vaggies pov

"Huh I guess everything has other things to do" I blinked in confusion.

"That leaves more time for just the two of us" Charlie took my hand "let me win something for you"

*Time skip*

I walked down happily with a toy seal with a face that's screams extasenisal crisis. I hugged him happily. I love him-

My thoughts were cut short by a bullet going through my fuzzy friends head.

"Get down!" Charlie pushed me to the ground as a barrage of bullets flew past. We looked up to see what looked to be an imp. We nodded at each other before I picked her up and flew up to the rooftop.

"Well fuck me with a stick, I didn't know you could do that" he smirked "still I kill things for a living. Killing a bitch with wings is just a new challenge" he raised his rifle

"Why are you doing this" I shook my head.

"Let's just say this kill is personal" he growled. Before he could fire a round however Charlie kicked the weapon out of his hands.

"Fuck!" He tried to reach for his weapon but Charlie pinned him down, weapon pointed at his throat "I guess this is where this ends. Sorry fizz, I couldn't even avenge you"

"Stop" I grabbed Charlie's arm before she could finish him off "you know fizz?"

Lucifer's pov

"Is this little friendship is magic bullshit almost over" Adam groaned as I looked around desperately for something to do "I'm supposed to be spending time with my daughter, not dicking around with you"

"I know but there's plenty of time for that. Hey how about I buy something for you" I raced over to the apple stall "here you go pal. One candy apple" I held it up to him.

His eyes widened as his breathing picked up "Adam?" He took off running. It's then that I realised what I was doing "fuck! Adam wait!"

Alastors pov

"Adam!" Lute was about to fly off after him when I grabbed her hand "are you getting in my way?" She raised her spear.

"My dear the king is a grown man. He doesn't need you running after him" I said firmly "let him and Lucifer sort out their own grievances"

"But I have to protect him" her eyes wavered.

I gave her a kind smile "protecting him isn't always the best thing to do. If you truly care about him then you'll give him the space to sort out his emotions"

She reluctantly nodded. I sighed softly. I guess I'm getting better at this.

Vaggies pov

"So you were fizz's friend" I smiled at the imp as the three of us sat at the edge of the rooftop.

"Yeah you could say that" he sighed "sorry about trying to kill you. I thought you were responsible for his death"

"I kinda was. I really let him down" I teared up.

"Vaggie" Charlie sighed.

"Nah if anyone let him down it's me" he sighed "I was a pretty shit friend. Stayed out of contact way longer than I should have. This whole time I was afraid of dying alone. I never even considered how scary it would be to lose someone I loved"

Not knowing what to say I simply pulled him into a hug. He stayed there for a couple of seconds before pushing away "ok that's a little too mushy for my liking. My name's blitzo the o is silent"

"I'm vaggie and I'm always happy to make new friends" I shook his hand enfusiastically.

"Well you're just a bag full of beans aren't you" he smiled softly. I think I've made a new friend.

Alastors pov

"Have you ever been in love?" Her question threw me for a loop. Being in love. My thoughts immediately drifted to Lucifer but I shook those thoughts away.

"No I don't think I have"

She sighed "I'm trying to understand my own feelings. You seem wise so I was hoping you could help me"

I leaned against the railing "well I'm no love expert but I'm a great listener if there's anything you'd like to tell me"

She took a deep breath before continuing "when I'm around Adam I feel happy. When he laughs or smiles my heart skips a beat. When he's sad my heart aches for him"

"That sounds like love to me" I smiled softly.

"What do I do? I don't know how to be in love" she looked up vulnerablely.

"Don't force it" I told her gently "Let your feelings blossom naturally"

"That sounds right. Thank you alastor" she smiled sweetly.

"Your welcome my dear" I nodded before looking out at the carnival below me. I hope Lucifer managed to fix things with the king.

Lucifer's pov

"Adam please wait!" I followed him into the apple carousel. He sat on the ride crying to himself. I felt a guilty ache in my chest as I took a seat next to him. He turned away angrily.

"Adam I am so sorry. I wasn't thinking-"

"You never do think do you Lucifer" he said bitterly "you just do whatever the fuck you want. Who cares who gets hurt in the process"

"That's not fair" I got defensive "you hurt me too. I lost my wife and child thanks to your selfish bullshit!"

"My selfish bullshit!" He exploded "I wouldn't even be here if you hadn't given me that fucking apple! Do you know what happened after we let sin into the world? I had to watch my son kill my other son. I had to make another child after burying my baby to keep the human population going. You were supposed to be my friend. How could you betray me like that" he broke down. As I watched my former friend ball cry I never hated myself more.

"Adam I am so sorry. You're right I don't think things through. I'd hate me too"

"I'm all alone, I'm always going to be alone" he sobbed.

"Adam you are not alone" I reached out and wiped away his tears "you have a kid who loves the crap out of you"

"But I'm not even her real dad. What if she doesn't need me anymore" his wet eyes transported me back to the day I explained death to him. I wanted so badly to take his fears away the way I did before.

"Of course she needs you. You are the only dad she's ever had and your support is everything to her. I only wish I could lighten up my daughter's world the way you do" I smiled softly.

"Yeah I guess I am pretty awesome" a smile returned to his face.

The ride came to a stop. I stepped out and held my hand out to him. He rolled his eyes before strolling past me. Okay we're still a work in progress!

"Dad!" We looked up to see our daughter's waving at us. Standing behind them was lute and Alastor. We smiled as we walked up to them, pretending nothing happened.
