failed interview
Vaggies pov
Getting into a fist fight with a reporter was the last thing I expected to happen but here we are, messy haired and taken the ride home in shame.
"Soooo you girls aren't mad at me right?" Lucifer looked at us nervously.
"Mad? Mad! Mad doesn't even start to cover it!" Charlie lashed out "what the fuck were you thinking!"
"I was helping out a friend of mine, that's a redeeming quality right" his forced smile twitched, a sign he was stressed. If I wasn't so depressed I would have tried to de-escalate the situation.
"Don't even go there" Charlie growled "this was just you doing whatever the fuck you want as always. Now thanks to your selfish bullshit our hotel is the laughing stock of hell!"
"I swear I wouldn't have done it if I thought it was being recorded. Honestly what happened to privacy" he ran a hand through his hair.
"You shouldn't have been doing it at all!" Charlie glared at him "I don't know why we ever decided to take you on. You're an embarrassment!" Lucifer's face fell. He looked like a puppy who'd just been kicked. That's when I knew I had to step in.
"We don't know this is over. Let's all just take a breather" I placed a hand on her shoulder. She immediately relaxed into my touch.
Once we exited the limo Lucifer looked like he wanted to say something. Apologise maybe? But he stopped himself and walked ahead of us.
When we stepped inside the empty hotel I felt the overwhelming need to cry. Luckily my phone started ringing.
"I'll just be a minute" I smiled at the father daughter duo as they headed into the living room. I slumped against the wall as I answered the phone.
"Hey baby girl" dad's voice ran out "just caught the news and holy fuck you fucked up that news reporter. You got a bitching right hook, just like your old man"
"Great my own father saw what a miserable failure I am" I wiped my tears away angerly.
"What no! Vaggie you were awesome. It was those demon fucks that sucked. You really shouldn't be sticking your neck out for them. Maybe you should just come home"
"Thanks but no thanks daddy" I cut him off "I need to go now"
"Ok baby girl, talk soon" with that I hung up and threw my phone away in frustration. Why can't he just believe in me for once!
My edgy moment was quickly interrupted by a knock on the door..
