4 ~ To the Music Department: Part 2 ~ 4
Alice's POV:
I land in the door way wobbling back worth, almost falling backwards into the ink. My head was throbbing, when I jumped I hit my head on the door frame, I plastered my hand on my head grimacing at the pain rushing through. I continued on, making a turn to my right and down another stair case, I have been in the studio for 25 years and more for when I was working here but I still feel so lost walking around here, I haven't left my area in so long. I enter a room with experiment tables, the tables had multiple Boris' and Pipers' strapped to them, each of them with their chests ripped open, both missing their hearts. The tables were stuck in deep ink, looking like they were floating in place with multiple thin planks of unsteady wood placed together to form a walk way across the sea of unsettling sights to the other side of the room.
I looked around the room with chills going down my spine. I don't know why I felt so uneasy after all I was the one who did this, I was the one who strapped them to the tables and crucified them, taking their hearts to make me perfect. The only question on my mind though was, how did I get here? I'm almost 100% sure that I was going away from my area, not deeper into it.
I stare at them with no remorse, this had to happen. I have to be perfect and there will be no compromise. I start towards the wood planks that formed a risky pathway. I started walking onto them, nearly giving me a heart attack every time it creaked, bended, and wobbled. As soon as I made it to the other side I stared at the humongous sign poorly attached to the wall. The sign was tilted and only shaking a little but still threatening to fall at any moment.
I look away from the sign and head underneath it to a door, pushing it open into another room. The room was humongous with pipes wrapping the walls and what looked like some sort of vents aligning into a circle on the floor. Walking towards the center of the room, I spy a little round window, looking like it belonged to an observation deck, and another door a little right of the center of the room. I remembered where these leaded, I used this area to test out an experiment on some of the Boris clones.
I turn away and head for the exit, there is no need for me to be here, it's only wasting time. I think to myself as I leave the room and cross over the inky ocean again. I need to find Boris and quick, and the only way I can do that is if I keep moving.
I work my way through the stair case and it's maze, hiding every once in awhile out of paranoia. I don't really blend in with my surroundings well, especially with the halo melted into the side of my head and the left side of my face deteriorating, so paranoia that I'll be found easily isn't unjustified.
My pride tells me I have nothing to fear with my reputation and my looks just make me more of a beast but I know deep inside that isn't true, I may think of my self as an angel that deserves everything in my domain, but the ink demon has an unsettling way of bringing me down to earth every once in a while but I assure myself that in a few years or less he won't have so much control on me. I won't be his puppet anymore.
As I'm walking, I see an air shaft looking like it's heading upwards. I open my bag and walk over to air shaft vent thingy, pulling out a screw driver from my bag. I use the screw driver on the four corners watching the panel fall to the ground, shortly afterwards I climb into the air shaft's vent and crawl upwards, sideways, left, right, straight, and backwards because sadly I never stole a map of the vent system if they even had one laying around the studio.
I keep crawling for a while until I see light coming from another panel ahead of me. Then a thought crept into my mind as a I reached the panel, The ink demon uses the vents... I instantly take the screw driver out and open the panel in a panic as I kept looking all around me. Fearing hearing the sound or the face of the ink demon, I push the panel open before it has chance to fall and land inside of a tiny room with a neatly hung sign, looking almost untouched by time. I stare at the sign, at first not realizing what the sign said and what it meant but then instantly having feelings of accomplishment and pride wash over me as I read the sign over again.
At the top in tiny letters it read;
Welcome to the.
And in big bold letters the Bottom read;
Music Department 🎵
