1~ Scavenging ~1

Narrator POV:

Alice Angel peered out from around the corner to see a Swollen Searcher, they are slightly larger than the original Searchers and appear to be in a hunched position. They have a diseased-like appearance - sporting a lump on their right arm, a thumb on their left hand, the left cheek, and the left side of their back. Their stomachs also possess several large lumps. They aren't as hostile as the Searchers too, meaning this was gonna be easy for Alice to kill as long as she didn't take too long, she needed the thick ink that the Swollen Searchers provided that Searchers didn't.

Disgusting. Alice thought to herself as she began to sneak up behind the Swollen Searcher. Alice was always displeased by the appearance of most things in the studio but Swollen Searchers always seemed to be at the top of the list.

"AUGH" Alice grunted as she hit the Swollen Searcher over the head with the axe three times. The Swollen Searcher slowly sank into a puddle of thick ink. Alice leaned down and picked up the ink, smiling at herself as she put the ink in a jar and continued on moving to level 11. Alice had to be careful when scavenging on level 11, for this was the floor on which the projectionist resides. The Projectionist is a tall humanoid creature that is almost completely covered in ink and has a projector for a head.

Poor Norman... Alice thought to herself, Alice used to know the projectionist before they had fell victim to Joey Drew Studios, his real name was Norman Polk, Norman's human intelligence was entirely gone, turning him into a completely feral and violent monster, but was usually calm as long as no one was in his sight. Alice was dreading going to level 11 for the reason that she needed to collect at least one ink heart before leaving, the thing is ink hearts are the Projectionist's collective properties, touching or taking his ink hearts angers him, drawing his attention regardless of how far away he is.

The elevator opened and Alice quickly exited, starting toward the last known place of an ink heart. She walked down the halls avoiding ink puddles that could potentially pull her in, she finally got to the balcony which had a staircase going spiraling down into the inky abyss. She held her breath and started down the stairs dreading what she would have to face once she got to the bottom of the stairs. The very first ink heart that Alice ever found was located from a deceased Striker's hand that she had killed a while back when it attacked her at the square deck after the elevator. Four other ink hearts were located randomly around the hall maze, with the danger from the Projectionist always close by. The Ink hearts can only be found close to corpses of the Butcher Gang enemies. The Butcher Gang. Alice hated the Butcher Gang, especially Piper that Little scum treaded tainted ink around her lair.

It could have touched me, it could have pulled me back! Alice thought to herself panicking at the memory, No one knows what it's like to drown away in a puddle of ink. If I ever see Piper again or anyone trailing tainted ink in my lair, Someone isn't gonna have a good day. I won't let that happen again.

Alice whipped her head around looking for the closet Miracle station. The Miracle Station was usually used by creatures to hide from the Ink demon and any other creature that was after them. If observed carefully, it turns out as a disguised Tasty eats Machine seen around the studio but was built in a similar structure to an outhouse. The front wooden door is printed with a halo drawn with ink to signify Alice's own halo. It also has a "Little Miracle Station" sign with another halo above it. Inside the station was very blank with a small ledge near the bottom, and with a metal plate tilted on the wall like a changing room.

Alice spotted one not too far away and bolted towards it, every creature in the studio recognized that sound.

The Ink Demon was near.

Alice got to the station in time, she opened the door and slipped in holding her breath in fear that the Ink demon could hear her breathing. She sat in the Miracle station with her anxiety levels rising as she waited for the demon to pass.

In a matter of seconds, the attitude and overall aura of the place had changed. Ink began bleeding through the ceiling and the noises got louder and louder as the lights began to flicker. The Miracle station began to get darker and darker as the sounds grew closer, she saw Striker run towards the Miracle station, the Striker looked injured. Alice almost felt bad for the scoundrel, Miracle stations can only one creature at a time, no matter the size. She Almost felt bad. Alice had tried not to laugh when she saw the Strikers face when the Miracle station didn't open and he'd have to try and find another. Priceless. Alice laughed to her self as the Striker tried to run but kept falling due to his injury. Maybe the Striker deserved this, maybe he didn't but one thing was for sure, there were no miracle stations anywhere near another few miles, that Striker was a goner.

As she watched the Striker turn the corner, the ink on the floor began to rise, her vision became blurry, Ink was everywhere frightening even the bravest souls. The Miracle station began to shake as Alice watched the inked figure grow closer. The Inked creature happened to be the Ink Demon like Alice had predicted. Alice held on to one of the shelves and looked out to see the Demon inraged and more intimidating then she had remembered. She Ink had turned cold as the Demon looked around the room, Alice was praying The Ink demon would move on. The Ink Demon continued to search the room intensely until the Demon stared directly at the Miracle station staring right into Alice's eyes. The Demon stepped closer and closer, never losing eye contact with Alice. The Demon almost touched the Miracle station before quickly backing off and following in the direction where the Striker headed.

Alice waited for about 10 mins or so before she left the station and darted to the stair case. There was no way she was going to be getting any Inked hearts after almost being killed by the Ink demon. Angering the projectionist at this point would only make her chances of living slimmer. She started up the staircase watching the inky abyss move farther from her sight as she got closer to the top floor. Alice entered the elevator and pressed the button to level K. She was on her way to the Heavenly Toys Room, humming the song "Loney Angel."
