THE END: author's note with an announcement...

Read this note if you'd like a big announcement :) you'll know it when you see it!

Wow, wow, WOW!!!!!!! I cannot BELIEVE I am finally writing the end note to this journey of a story!! I started writing the very first chapter of this book on December 26, 2019, and as I currently write this end note, it is now December 27, 2020, which means it took me a year EXACTLY (and one day) to finish this book, front to back.

This is by far the longest I've ever spent on any story, as my other books took me a weekend/few weeks to finish. This is also the most effort I've put into any of my stories, and I feel proud that (if you've read my other, earlier books) you can truly notice a different in my writing now.

I just want to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to all of my readers, beta readers, fan artists, people who comment, people who vote, people who leave me wonderful notes on my message boards or at the end of the chapters, people who have shared this story with others, and those who even clicked on this story and simply gave it a chance.

Through Angel of the Sky, alone, I've met so many wonderful virtual friends and kind souls. When I first got the idea for a Hawks story last year, I planned to make it a short story that would only be updated every other month or so. But, after starting to write it and fall in love with the characters, and reading everyone's exceptionally kind comments, I quickly got the motivation to continue further and really think outside the box to the best of my ability.

Ari and Keigo have grown close to my heart. I put most of my own personality into Ari's character (probably including the dense, too-), and for that reason she is my favorite OC that I've made. She was so easy to write!

I'd also like to say how much it warms my heart to see everyone taking to my other OCs, especially Diane Himura. I literally go crazy with excitement when people continue to message me, thinking she's actually apart of the manga XD

Since I can't seem to say goodbye to Ari and Keigo yet, I'd like to announce something very special that I've been hiding for the last eight months of writing this story (this sounds like I'm pregnant or something)

*drum roll*

*drum roll intensifies*

Are you ready?

Are you sure?

Well, get ready then, because.....

✨✨✨ANGEL OF THE SKY WILL BE HAVING A SEQUEL✨✨✨

I hope this news excites you as much as it excites me!!! I have been planning a sequel to this book for quite awhile, but I didn't want to spoil the ending, so that is why I kept it a secret. Also, I'm horrible at keeping secrets, so some of you already know HAHHAAHA

An emo fun fact: the original ending I had planned for this book was incredibly tragic and depressing 😀 I even drafted versions of it a few times, cried, and then went to go read some lemon to forget about it ❤️ I only changed the ending when I decided to make a sequel. BUT, don't worry, that doesn't mean the sequel will have a sad ending. I don't know what kind of an ending it will have yet, since the entire plot has now progressed away from that original sad ending completely!

But, I am very excited about this sequel, because I have most of the plot down already! I've been planning it for eight months, so I've had a lot of time to think.

Since we don't know what's gonna happen in the manga right now, I don't know if it will follow the manga. But, we'll see. Quite honestly, I'm very eager for the plot I've created, so I'm not too worried about trying to work around the manga.

You may have noticed that some things in Angel of the Sky were not truly answered at the end of the story (Touya's whereabouts, The new president of the Hero Commission - Katsuro Fujihara, Keigo's father, detailed aftermath of the war, how Ari and Keigo will cope with being hated, Endeavor's situation, wedding and kids, Keigo's wings, etc.)

The sequel is set to have a lot of action, not just with Ari and Keigo, but with the rest of the Parkers as well, since they are now Keigo's family, too. There will also be lots of morally grey situations with all characters that I'm hoping will leave you questioning everyone's good and evil. Eri's power will be used for something very crucial as well (while it's possible, I'm not talking about Keigo's wings when I say that)

The sequel will have a lot of angst just like this first book, but also a lot of fluff. As usual, I always try to make it worth your while as a reader, so I truly hope you will stick around to see it.

As for a release date on the sequel, it will be a bit of time before it's ready to come out. But, hopefully not too long :)

This is because I have Dabi's book to work on. Once I either finish his story, or I get into a groove and schedule where I can work on two stories at a time, that is when I will start the sequel.

Normally, I do like to work on one story at a time though, because that is how I am able to get updates out to you guys so quickly. If I had worked on another story, while I was updating Angel of the Sky, it probably would have taken me a few years to finish, or never would have gotten finished at all. We will see how fast and easily I'm able to write Dabi's book though! I'm working through the chapters faster than I thought I would.

If you'd like to RE-READ Angel of the Sky while you wait for the sequel :D I promise that you will see the story in a completely different light now. I guarantee that you will find things you didn't notice before, foreshadows (for the sequel as well), hints, parallels, symbolism, and probably fall for Keigo all over again XD

But, I will keep you guys updated. Once I start to work on the sequel, you will know. And once I post the first chapter, you will know.

And while I very well know this is just an anime fanfiction, I always love fanfics and stories in general that truly make me think. That's what I was really aiming to achieve with Angel of the Sky, so I hope that maybe you've been able to take away something from this story about life, dreams, love, sacrifice, or anything else. Or, I at least hope you enjoyed the book :) or feel free to comment ✨it's not that serious, outlander✨😂😂

So, in the cheesy words of Keigo and Ari, I leave you with this: never give up, and never stop trying to reach for new heights in your REAL life, because I promise that it will pay off in the end.

Thank you for your kindness, thank you for reading this story, and I wish every one of you the very best. See you in my next book, and don't be afraid to say hi!
