Dinner was really amazing! The chefs weren't just there as display. They really knew what they were doing. She had to admit, her Ammi's food was amazing but theirs just topped the chart.

She moaned with every bite she took and her taste buds almost exploded. It was really appetizing just looking at it and it was beyond fantastic eating the delicacies.

Enough about how much of a foodie Afni was though.

After dinner, they moved to the living room to have a little chat and for the family to get to know their new family member fully.

She learnt that Almir's dad's name was Saahib, the name she really liked and secretly wanted to name Amrah's son, Farhan when he was born but they wouldn't put it as his first name so it became his second name that hardly any body called him with except his dad and grand parents.

She learnt so many things about them and they her. They were just speaking about politics when Abeer's eyes lit up and suddenly she excused herself to go to her room as she had work to do.

Almir and Afni hung back because his family wanted to continue conversing with them but they didn't even say a word to each other, though Afni could feel eyes at some point on her but when she turned around, he wasn't looking at her.

They stayed in the living room for a few more hours before suddenly, everybody decided to go to bed.

Almir's parents went upstairs to their room and Almir went somewhere and Afni was left all alone.

She drank some water from one of the several water dispensers placed all around the house and went up the stairs.

Suprisingly, she knew the way back up to her room and she reached there within a few minutes.

She bumped into Almir at the door of the bathroom when he came out of his study. They both reached for the handle of the door but she retracted her hand when she saw his.

She moved a little bit out of the way for him to go in but he just rolled his eyes.

He press down on the handle and opened the door with a slight push.

He took a step in and said the du'a for entering the bathroom and stood by the door.

He tapped his foot impatiently with an annoyed expression. She didn't know why he was doing it so she just stood to the side watching him.

He used his hand to make a gesture but she didn't know what he meant so she turned to leave.

She took just two steps when a hand shot out to grab her wrist. She was so shocked and turned around with mighty speed that her neck made a cracking sound, whiplash.

Ignoring the pain she felt from the whiplash, she looked at him with eyebrows scrunched and eyes wide in confusion.

"As you can see, the bathroom has two sections, you can come in and use it. Just draw the curtains at the middle. After all, we are married aren't we?"

He asked with a slight growl and she just nodded her head in suspicion.

"Okay but just so you know, this feels awkward."

She said and he just rolled his eyes.

"Whatever! I am using the one on the other side so go do your business."

He rolled his eyes and she pushed past him into the spacious place and she heard him click the door shut.

She watched as he went to the other side and then she drew the thick curtains to separate them.

She walked over to the sink and saw a brand new tooth brush in one of the cabinets and mint flavored toothpaste.

I brushed her teeth, looking at the mirror to make sure she cleaned every spot perfectly. She rinsed her mouth and proceeded to perform ablution.

She could hear the shower going on in Almir's side of the bathroom and she knew he was taking a shower. She finished performing ablution and retied her hijab.

She quickly combed it with her fingers and braided her really long hair which can be hard to tame sometimes and did it in a braided bun.

Just as she was done putting her hijab in place, the curtains drew open and Almir emerged, wearing a white jallab (a piece of clothing worn by Muslims) and his wet hair was tossed around roughly.

She quickly averted her eyes and turned to walk out of the bathroom and he followed right behind her.

They walked towards the room and she opened the door by scanning her palm which had already been calligraphed into the systems.

The room was dark and cool. She stepped in and was about to clap her hands to turn on the lights when someone else beat her to it.

She thought it was Almir but the look of shock on his face proved her wrong. That was when she really looked around the room.

Flower petals were everywhere! From her favorite flowers; jasmines and roses, to lillies and dandelions which were even weeds. It was so pretty.

The platform where the bed was, was covered in lots and lots of petals. The bed even had petals forming a big heart with two a's and a plus in the middle.

There were fairy lights everywhere and it gave the room a magical glow.

In the corner, two prayer mats were placed with one in the front of the other.

Up on the ceiling, the chandelier sparkled so beautifully. Afni was really awestruck and surprised.

That's when somebody popped up in front of her and she almost screamed out of shock.

"Surprise! So do you like it? Don't tell me you don't because it took a lot of my energy and time. Pheeeew!"

Abeer exclaimed so dramatically and Afni resisted the urge to tell her she shouldn't have.

"You did this? Really? But why?"

She asked and forced a smile on her face, careful not to hurt her feelings and she let her eyes roam so that she wouldn't see how she really felt.

"Of course! I was just trying to make your first day as a married couple better, considering you didn't really have a ceremony."

She said, smiling so happily and feeling giddy.

"Awe! Marsha Allah and jazakillahu khairan Lil sis."

She faked excitement and Abeer squealed and hugged Afni then hugged her brother who had a bored expression on his face and darted out.

They merely stood there for a few minutes, speechless and awkwardly. Afni cleared her throat and was about to speak when he raised his hand, silencing her.

"Don't speak! Just forget all this. I thought the contract made it clear. No feelings whatsoever will blossom between the two of us. And if you will excuse me, it is time for prayer and if you want to join me then come on. We will sort this out later."

He said so calmly and walked over to the prayer mats.

She nodded and followed behind him. She took a long hijab that she kept on the prayer mat earlier and put it on top of the smaller one.

When they finished praying and making du'a, they stood up and he turned to face her.

"I can't share a room with you. There is an extra room next to this one. Would you like to go there or should I go there?"

He asked so cooly, with arms crossed over his chest.

"No, I will go there. I don't feel comfortable in a room filled with flowers. Please wake me up for Fajr Salah. "

She said and picked up her hijab and went downstairs to get some pajamas before heading to the bathroom to take a quick soothing bath.

When she was done putting on her pajamas, she returned to the main room to pick up her phone. She saw him staring at her with a quizzical look.

"Do you sleep in your hijab? We are married after all so you can take off your hijab."

He implied sarcastically and she shook her head.

"No thank you! I don't feel comfortable without it. I never take it off."

She answered and turned to walk away.

"Okay fine. Do whatever you wish. I don't care!"

He answered and she rolled her eyes and walked away.

"Goodnight to you too!"

She hollered and shut the door.

She went towards the door that was beside the other room and opened it. She clapped to turn on the lights and once again, she was astonished beyond reasoning.

Though the room was smaller than the other one, it was still huge. It wasn't even the furniture she was looking at but rather, the freaking screen mounted opposite the bed. It was huge! It felt like she was at a cinema. It was absolutely magnificent.

She walked further into the room and jumped onto the bed. Well, let her just spell it out for you.

The. Freaking. Bed. Was. So. Soft. And. Bouncy!

She hopped on it for a few minutes like a child that was high on sugar then she started to yawn and feel drowsy and that's how she ended up sleeping so comfortably on the lush bed.
