The class went on as it should, and eventually Mirio, most of the class and I found ourselves in the control room, watching two students spar.

I tapped my finger on the console, watching intently.

"You ok there?" Mirio said, chuckling.

"What?" I asked, my eyes not leaving the screen, I eventually tore my eyes away to look at Mirio who was trying hard to hold in his laugh. "Oh, I'm just really interested. It's amazing to know these students are using what I taught them." I said, trying to hide the fact that I was embarrassed.

My eyes wandered back to the screen, watching once more. Currently a Tao Ayano and Ohashi Kayo were sparring.

Tao was the girl with the rainbow eyes that suggested a bank heist in the classroom. Her quirk was called Rainbow Splat, allowing her to make colored balls of different substances. When thrown, different colors do different things. At the moment, she threw an orange ball at Ohashi, but luckily he dodged, leaving the ball to splat against a wall behind him, exploding it.

Ohashi was a mutant, with purple pixie wings protruding from his back. He was small and feminine, making his body easier for his wings to carry. It also made him quick at maneuvering.

Ohashi flew up, leaving Tao to stare into the sun trying to find him. He came down from behind, landing on her back and pushing her down. He struggled to keep her down, keeping his weight on her shoulder blades.

"Water makes the frogs gay!" Tao shouted.

"What?" Ohashi exclaimed, loosening his grip for just a second. That's all Tao needed to fling him off, using a series of powder blue balls to stick his feet to the ground.

Ohashi struggled against the substance, and I counted down from ten. If he couldn't get out within ten seconds, Tao won.

The remainder of the class behind me started counting down, finally reaching one.

"Tao Ayano has won this round!" Mirio exclaimed into the microphone. I watched as Tao and Ohashi shook hands, smiling at each other and saying that they each did well. Tao pulled off the sticky balls from Ohashi's feet and a few minutes later, they were in the control room with the rest of the class.

"That fight was amazing guys!" I exclaimed to them as they walked in.

"Thank you (L/N)-sensei." They said in unison, making me laugh.

"Are either of you hurt? Does someone need to take you to Recovery Girl?" I asked, turning on my assessment setting to see if they were injured.

"I'm fine."

"I feel great!"

Neither of them were lying which is a good thing. I smiled.

"Awesome."

"Kasai Yuudai and Yasmin Nichols are up to spar!" Mirio announced to the class. I turned to the monitors and watched as the teenagers fiddled, waiting to start.

"Go Y-N! Go Y-N! Go Y-N!" The class chanted.

I leaned towards Mirio, "Why are they chanting 'Go Y-N!'" I asked. The teens still chanted in the back.

"That's what they call Nichols. She's our American exchange student." Mirio responded, watching the monitors. "Go!" He exclaimed into the mic.

"But why Y-N? That's just two letters in the English alphabet." I said, watching as Nichols and Kasai circled, waiting for an opening.

Mirio laughed. "I was curious too until Nichols explained it to me. Do you know what a 'reader-insert' is?" He asked me.

The hell?

"Not a clue." I responded.

"It's basically a type of fan fiction that allows the reader to become a part of the story. Y-N usually stands for 'your name.' Since Nichols initials are Y and N, people call her Y-N. She's the one that came up with it." Mirio explained.

"Interesting." I said simply. Reader inserts huh? Strange. I thought back to the other night.

"Oh my god, my life isn't a bad Hallmark movie, it's a cheesy anime."

What if someone I know is just reading a reader insert of my life? What if I'm the reader but don't know? That one's a stretch. I think I would know if I was just reading a fan fiction.

I get way to into my head sometimes.

I brought my attention back to the fight.

Kasai Yuudai I recognized as the boy who yelled "boobs" at me. I have got to say though, I like the kid. I looked down at the file Mirio had handed me on him, reading about his quirk.

Before I got too far, Mirio started to explain.

"Kasai Yuudai. Quirk: Weight. He can change the weight of his body by manipulating the gravitational force and air pressure on his body. He can be as light as zero kilos, or as heavy as a trillion kilos. The weight change doesn't affect his look however, since you're not changing his mass." His eyes never left the screen.

Kasai threw a punch at Nichols, but she dodged quickly.

"You're starting to sound like Izuku." I said, watching at Nichols spun around Kasai like a top, dodging his hits.

"Is that a bad thing? To be compared to the number one hero is an honor." Mirio said, still smiling that bright smile.

"He'd be delighted to hear you say that." We both chuckled, watching the fight. "What about Nichols? The exchange student."

"Her quirk is called Jelly. Strange, I know. She can turn anything she wants into a gelatinous substance, and can consume it for power and energy. She relies on water, she needs to be hydrated for her quirk to work." Mirio explains. "She's strong, obviously. The entrance exams were a breeze to her, but she does have trouble with actual combat."

"What about Kasai? How is he with combat?"

"He's great. His quirk makes it easy to over power most people, since he can just throw his full weight into them." I nodded, wincing as Nichols swept Kasai's feet out from under him.

He fell flat on his back, kicking up quickly. Nichols grabbed a nearby pipe, turning what was in her hand to jelly and stuffing it in her mouth, swallowing hard.

I stifled a laugh.

"I know, it's funny isn't it?" Mirio said laughing. "No matter how funny, she'll still be a great hero." His eyes glistened as he stared at the monitors.

"It's beautiful how much faith you have in your students." I said. Kasai made an advance on Nichols, but she pushed him back with incredible strength gained from the pipe.

Mirio looked down at me, flustered. "I- um..." he cleared his throat, "thank you."

I flashed a smile towards Mirio and turned back to the monitors, where Nichols had Kasai on his stomach, his arm bent between his shoulder blades.

"You're really cute!" Kasai screamed.

"What?" Nichols stuttered, letting go of his arm completely, but still straddled his back. He used both arms to push up, sending Nichols flying backward.

"Whoa!" I exclaimed. "He made himself heavier to have more power over her!"

"Looks like I'm not the only one who has faith in my students." Kasai ran over to Nichols, slamming his back against her stomach, keeping her in place and making her cough.

He simply laid back against her, and she looked like she was about to be crushed.

"Four! Three! Two! One!" The students shouted.

"Kasai Yuudai has won this round!" Mirio exclaimed. A few minutes later, they both entered the control room, Nichols leaning to crack her back.

"Yeah Y-N!" The class yelled.

"But I won the round!" Kasai exclaimed, annoyed.

"Yeah but we like Y-N better." Nakazawa said, making their classmates laugh.

"Well, that's the last of our matches for today! You were all amazing!" Mirio turned to me, but I was looking out at the twenty hero's in training. They were all so amazing and talented in their own way. I can't wait for their debuts, knowing that I helped in some wayโ€”

Mirio nudged me with his elbow.

"What?" I asked, startled. "Oh, am I supposed to say something?" The whole class laughed and I smiled. I pulled myself up and onto the counter behind me, smiling at the students.

"You are all amazing students and will be even better hero's. I look forward to your debuts, and to watching your career grow into something beautiful. This may be a bit out of line, but if you ever need anything, stop by the agency. I'll be happy to help. So, Class 3-A, I leave you with these words. You are all remarkable and I look forward to watching you grow. Now, what do you have next?"

"Lunch is our next time block ma'am!" Asa shouted.

"Thank you Asa, reliable as always." The class chuckled.

"Now scoot! Go get lunch, you deserve it." The class smiled and said thank you to me, leaving the room. As I gathered myself up, and was about to follow Mirio out, I felt a tap on my shoulder.

See what I did there?

I updated the Character Analysis to include (Y/N)'s height and weight in metric units for all my non-American homies! A lot of people were asking for it, so I finally did it!

Fun fact: In the original draft of this book, (Y/N) wasn't a detective. She was an underground hero who never revealed her identity and was never seen in public. She left criminals tied up/passed out in front of police stations, with notes for the media pinned to their shirts. She lived with Daichi, Chiharu (who was originally male), and a guy named Akira. They all practically worshipped her and were all meme lords. She met the pro hero's (Class 1-A) by running into them on a mission where she was undercover. One thing leads to another, come to find out (Y/N) worked for All Might.

Reminder: Drink some water. Eat something. Stretch a little bit. Ok? I love you, mwah <3

Over and out.
