My parents were long gone when Bakugo showed up at my door. Thank God.

They left as soon I suggested they leave, and I sat myself back down on the couch and watched more cartoons. I couldn't think about what just happened, I wouldn't let myself. Later on, I was making pizza rolls and the thought slipped into my head.

And I was proud. I had finally proved to my mother that I didn't need her, something she couldn't grasp. That I wouldn't be a hero just because it pleased her.

I was proud and full after eating my pizza rolls when a harsh knock erupted from my door.

"Who is it?" I exclaimed in the doors direction.

"It's Bakugo, open the damn door." I shot up from my laying position.

"Bakugo?" I murmur, walking towards my door. "Why the hell is he here?" I opened the door and there Bakugo stood, duffel bag over his shoulder, eyes more flaming red than ever, spikes not as pointy as usual.

He pushed his way past me and into my apartment.

"The fuck are you doing?"

"I'm staying the night, and no, you don't have a choice." He says bluntly, sitting down on my couch.

"Ok, but why?"

"Because you shouldn't be alone dumb ass. Are you stupid? I thought you were supposed to be all smart and shit." Bakugo wanted to look after me. Aw. I'm gonna tease the shit out of him.

"Are you gonna take care of me?" I asked in a teasing matter, smiling.

"Yes, now sit the fuck down, you need rest."

"Oh shit, this is unexpected." I whispered to myself, sitting down.

"Do you need anything? Water, food?" He asked, grabbing my plate off the coffee table and standing back up.

"I-um— no?" I asked more than said. Bakugo nodded and walked towards my bedroom. "Kitchens the other way." He turned around and started for the other direction.

"I knew that."

This is weird. He's being nice, this isn't normal. Should I check his system? He might be on drugs. He came back from the kitchen, sitting down next to me so that we faced each other.

"Do you wanna talk about something?" He asked.

"Why are you being so nice?" I asked, staring at him with a wall up.

"Because you need someone to take care of you right now, and I can be that person for you."

"But that's not you. Bakugo Katsuki doesn't take care of people, that's not what he does."

"Well maybe you're different and shit. You know? You're nice and I care about you and you're in pain. Headphone Bitch told us about the nightmare. You shouldn't be alone right now." He paused, not daring to look in my direction. He stared at his hands and I stared at mine. "This conversation never happened."

"Duly noted." We sat in silence for a few minutes. "Wanna watch a movie?" Bakugo considered my proposal.

"Sounds nice." He's embarrassed, it's obvious.

I turned on the television, turning on a movie I had recorded earlier that week, some legal drama.

"Hey Bakugo?" I asked a few minutes into the movie. Bakugo grunted in response, eyes not leaving the screen. "I care about you too."

I didn't know Bakugo Katsuki could turn pink.

The legal drama rambled on in the background as Bakugo and I talked.

"Hey, do you mind if I ask you something?" Bakugo says once we both get quiet.

"What's up?"

"What did he do?" Bakugo stares at his hands.

"Who, Tomura?" I asked.

"Who else dammit?" He murmured.

"I thought you knew. Uraraka told me most of you guys watched my interrogation."

"I sat and listened for about five minutes but then I couldn't stand it anymore so I left. So I'm asking you now. What did he do?"

I sighed. "Well, I got there and I was in a plain room. Concrete walls. There was a door and I tried to pick the lock, and that's when Tomura showed up behind me. He went through his whole spiel about him loving me, during which I rewrote his quirk. News flash, big mistake." I stop to take a breath, wrapping my arms protectively around my waist and an absolutely livid Bakugo looks up at me.

"You what?"

"I rewrote his quirk. I went into his head space and opened his quirk file, quickly going to the coding of the quirk. I then rewrote it to where he couldn't use his quirk on living objects." I explained. "I'd had the theory for a while, but never tried it out."

"You're telling me you rewrote Tomura Shigaraki's quirk? As in changed completely?"

"Yes."

"Damn glitch eyes, you're more powerful than I thought." He said, leaning back.

"Glitch eyes? That's the best you could think of?"

"Oh shut up."

In the end, I never told Bakugo how close I got to Toga and Dabi. Who knows what he would do. Bakugo was livid after I told him all about Tomura, but he eventually calmed down.

We were laying on my floor, God knows how we got here. Our heads were right next to each other, our bodies facing the other way. Bakugo's hair tickled my shoulder, but we both stared at the roof nonetheless. The world could explode and we would have no idea, all we cared knew at the moment was my roof and each other's voices.

"I thought he deserved it, you know? But now that we're older, I've realized there's no reason I shouldn't like him. He still makes me pissed sometimes, but other than that I guess you could call us friends." Bakugo said, voice soft.

"That's good, it's development. Shows you've grown as a person." I said.

"Yeah, you're right." He said. I felt his hair move from my shoulder. "Hey." I turned to look at him. He was propped up on his elbow, looking down at me. Our eyes met, but I was to tired to put up a wall.

Her eyes. God, her eyes. She's gorgeous.

I closed my eyes, my eye lids to heavy to keep up. Something brushed my lips ever so slightly, as if testing the waters. When I didn't open my eyes Bakugo kissed me again, but with more meaning. He pulled away after a short while, and began petting my hair. I opened my eyes.

"Hello there." I said, and Bakugo's eyes widened, not moving from where they were looking at my hair.

"You were-"

"Awake. I don't fall asleep that easily."

"Oh." I chuckled.

"I'm going to bed. I can show you the guest room if you like, or if you'd rather you could stay on the couch that's fine."

"I just don't want you to have another nightmare. So where ever I can prevent you from having another." He said. He does care.

"Well, I just remember waking up and feeling really really alone." I said, rubbing my arm.

"So I'll stay with you in your room." He blurts.

"In my-"

"You have no choice, I'm staying in your room and that's final." He shoos me as if to push me towards my room. Realizing I truly have no choice, I sigh.

"Alright." When we get to my room, I just climb into my sheets, already in pajamas. Bakugo stood in his sweatpants and t-shirt (which he had changed into earlier), not quite knowing what to do. I flip back the covers on the other side of me. "Come on, I'm not going to make you sleep on the floor."

Though my eyes are closed, I feel the weight of the bed shift in front of me.

"And no funny business, no cuddling. It reminds of Tomura to much." I whisper to Bakugo, and he remains silent.

The last thing I remember is Bakugo lacing his fingers with mine.
