"Daichi, get your ass out here, she's back!" Chiharu exclaimed, turning the corner around her desk.

She hugged me as tight as she could and I laughed, hugging her back.

"Oh my god, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Your replacement was driving us crazy! I mean how rude can a detective be?!" She exclaimed.

I heard foot steps running down the hall and Daichi appeared around the corner. He slumped against the wall when he saw me, panting out his words.

"Oh thank god. She's really back."

He barreled into us, almost knocking me down.

"He was such an asshole, thank god you're back." Daichi said.

"I wouldn't leave my job for the world."

Sitting at my desk, I shifted through some papers, going over whatever needed to be done.

I had spent a good hour tidying my office. Putting things in their places, redoing my paperwork system I had. Apparently my replacement had no regard for my space.

Maybe he was an asshole.

But now everything was back in its rightful place along with me, in my worn down and comfortable chair, elbows on my desk as I placed paper in piles and signed documents that needed my approval.

My day was quiet so far, nothing much going on. I hummed a quaint tune as I worked, a dumb smile drawn on my face.

I was just happy to be back at work.

"Agent, there's someone here to see you." Chiharu said through the intercom, voice scratchy due to our shitty system.

"Send them in." I said, not looking up from my papers. I looked between a few in my hands and I heard my door open.

I looked up, smiling and saw Denki walking through my door holding balloons and flowers, pointing his camera at me.

"What is this?" I asked, standing up while I laughed.

"It's your Happy First Day Back at Work present!" He exclaimed, holding the balloons and bouquet out to me. I came around my desk and took them, still laughing and smiling.

"Well thank you... are you recording me right now?" I asked, careful not to say his name.

"Yeah, I'm live right now, say hi to my fans!" He said, holding the camera up.

I waved at the lens, smiling.

"Hello."

"I just wanted to stop by on my way to work and give you a little something to celebrate." He explained, smiling.

"Well thank you Chargebolt, it means a lot to me." I looked down at the flowers, smelling them. They were beautiful and multicolored, all in bloom. They gave off the smell that only fresh flowers can, that clean and sweet smell that makes your heart beat a bit faster because you know they're for you.

"I'm just glad I made you smile!" Denki exclaimed, holding his arms out. I placed the flowers and weight of the balloons on my desk and gave Denki the hug he asked for.

"Well, I can't stay long, I have to go get to my shift." He said, frowning.

"Duty calls, I get it."

"Wanna say something to the people at home?" He asked, holding to camera to my eye level.

I hummed in thought, trying to decide on what to say. I leaned back on my desk, my arms holding me up.

"Don't underestimate yourself because of other people's views of you." I said, smiling lightly at the lens of the camera.

"Fancy! It's poetic, I like it!" Denki exclaimed. I laughed and he waved goodbye, exiting my office.

I placed the balloons by the door, where I could look up and see them. I grabbed the bouquet and walked down to the small kitchenette we had at the agency and rummaged around for a vase of some kind.

I knew Chiharu had them somewhere for her flowers, but I couldn't remember where. Finally I found one and filled it with water, tipping the bag of plant food into it.

I snipped the ends of the stems, humming a tune as I placed them in the vase.

When I got back to my office, I placed them on the corner of my desk, making the room look considerably brighter.

I sat back down, starting to sift through papers once again.

"Agent, there's two men here to see you." Chiharu said over the intercom.

Again? And right before my lunch break too.

"Send them in." I said, sighing once my finger released the button. I heard my door open and footsteps walking over to my desk.

"What can I do for you two gentlemen?" I asked, finally looking up from my paperwork. My eyes widened, seeing both Bakugo and Shoto standing in front of me.

"Hey dumbass." Bakugo scoffed, looking away. He was in casual clothing while Shoto wore his hero outfit.

"Don't call her that." Shoto snapped before turning his attention back to me. "How are you my dear?"

"Never better, I'm back at work. What about you guys?" They were here... together? That's new.

"I'm wonderful now that I'm with you." Shoto said, smiling at me.

"I'm alright." Bakugo sneered.

"So what are you two doing here?" I asked them, making Bakugo snap to attention.

"I was going to take you out to lunch to celebrate you coming back to work but Icy-Hot had the same idea." He said the words in a hurry, as if trying to explain before Shoto could.

"That's exactly what happened." Shoto agreed simply.

"Well, great minds think alike, don't they?" I stared, smirking to myself.

This is either gonna go horribly well, or horribly terrible. Either way it'll be fun as hell.

"Great mind is a bit of an overstatement for Bakugo." Shoto said calmly, making me laugh.

"Hey, what the hell are you saying?" Bakugo yelled, turning towards Shoto.

"I'm saying that while your smart, you don't have much common sense."

"What the hell Half-in-Half?!"

"Oh, haven't heard that one in a while."

It was a funny sight to be honest. Shoto relaxed and looking at me while Bakugo stared him down, ready to explode one of his limbs.

"Ladies, ladies," I said, standing from my chair, "you're both pretty. Let's go get lunch before I change my mind."

"Gladly."

"Does he have to come?" Bakugo asked, staring holes in Shoto's head.

"Yes Bakugo, yes he does," I informed him, walking over to the coat rack by my door to grab my suit jacket. "Now let's go."

They followed me out of the room and down the hall where we entered the lobby.

"I'm going out to lunch," I said, walking over to Chiharu, "you know how to reach me."

"Three in one day, huh?" She said, glancing up from her computer screen.

"Oh shut up."
