TRIGGER WARNING: KNIFE VIOLENCE AND THREATS.
PROCEED.
"Hey Chiharu," I called out as I entered the agency, smiling at said woman.
"Shut up," she yelled, voice muffled by her arms that she had her face in.
"Still don't like getting up early?" I asked, leaning over her desk to look at her. Her hair shiny and pulled back into a ponytail, one that grazed her shoulder blades.
She screamed into her arms before looking up at me.
"How do you do it? How in the hell do you get up early for work?! I don't get it!" She exclaimed, grabbing my wrists and shaking them.
I laughed, looking at her.
"Because I know that today will be a good day."

"Deku on line two!"
I looked up from the report I was writing when Chiharu called out from the front.
"Izuku?" I muttered, picking up the receiver and pressing the button for line two.
"Detective (L/N) speaking."
"Hey (Y/N), it's Izuku. I kind of umβ" he paused and I heard a muffled 'Kacchan, please, you're being a child' in the background. "Sorry, I have kind of a big favor to ask."
"Anything for you Izuku, what's up?"
"I need to take advantage of your detective skills for a little bit."
"What for?"
"There's this case me and several other heroes have been working on for a while, and we keep coming up short at every angle. I was hoping you could help? Provide some insight?" He sounded nervous, like he was scared I would start yelling.
"Why didn't you say so? In that case they are yours to take advantage of my friend. When am I getting details?" I asked, reaching up to fiddle with my earring.
"God, thank you (Y/N)β would you please be quietβ you're a saint. Should I send a car?" Izuku asked, and I tried not to chuckle at his interjection.
"Oh, right now, ok, umβ no need for a car, where are we meeting?"
"My agency, get here as soon as possible please."
"Of course."
"Kacchan please be quiet I was on theβ" the dial tone rung in my head as he hung up and I chuckled. After talking with both Bakugo and Izuku about their less than ideal history, I knew that Kacchan was Bakugo and that the name Deku actually came from Bakugo's incessant bullying all throughout Izuku's life.
Grabbing my bag, I threw the strap over my head and onto my opposite shoulder, making sure I had whatever I needed.
"I'm going out," I called as I walked towards the front, "got some business to take care of."
"With Deku?" Daichi asked, popping his head out of office.
"Yes, with Deku."
"A date with Deku?" Chiharu asked as I entered the lobby.
"Business with Deku."
"Business as in a sexy lunch date?" Daichi asked, smirking as he leaned against Chiharu's desk. She reached forward, hitting his head.
"Shut up you pervert! That was over the line!"
"Business as in a case, Daichi. Now get back to work," I ordered, my hand on the door.
"Yes ma'am," he responded pathetically, rubbing the back of his head.

"Oh good, you're here!" Exclaimed a voice as soon as I entered Izuku's agency. I looked up to find a tall man holding a clipboard as he made his way over to me.
"I'm Wantanabe Takiyo, Deku's personal assistant. It's a pleasure to meet you detective," he said, sticking his hand down towards me.
"The pleasure is mine," I responded, smiling softly as I grasped his hand.
"Let me take you up to the meeting room, they're waiting for you." He turned quickly, long strides making their way across the marble floor. I hurried to catch up, soon speed walking beside him.
"Who exactly is on this case Wantanabe?" I asked. Izuku said he and some other heroes were working on the case, but never said who.
"It's Deku, Lord Explosion Murder, Temperature, Ingenium, Red Riot and Uravity. They've been working on it for at least a month now but keep hitting dead ends. I do hope you can help," he explained as we entered the elevator. He pressed the button for the top floor before standing beside me again.
"You and me both."
The rest of the ride was silent, at least between us that is, soft music from the elevator making the silence comfortable.
A ding alerted us when the door opened and we both stepped out, him in the lead. I noticed his belt was fastened on the side of his hip, the rest of length hanging down to his knee.
The sleeves of his white button down were folded to his elbows, and despite his belt, he still wore suspenders.
"Here we are," he said, grabbing the door handle. I heard shouting from behind it and looked towards Wantanabe.
"Please be careful detective."
And with that, the door swung open.

"You little rat!" Screamed the man, who threw a knife towards the picture hanging on his dark board. "You just had to tell her! Just had to tell the love of your life, huh? You son of a bitch!"
He threw another that pierced through the eye of the picture.
Stomping over, he ripped the blades from their place in the cork, growling at the cut up image left behind.
"Tomura..." he said, backing up and holding his arm back. "I'll kill her!" As he yelled, he turned, instead letting the knife fly to his left where a picture of the detective hung on another dart board.
"Then you'll be sorry! You'll see your mistakes!"

"Oh hey (Y/N), you're here!" Ochaco exclaimed when she saw me, getting up from her chair. "We thought you were never gonna get here!"
"Yeah, sorry about that, I-" I glanced back to look at Wantanabe, but he was goneβ "I underestimated the time it would take to walk."
"It's cool, you're here now, that's all the matters!" She exclaimed, throwing her arms around my neck. I laughed, picking her up by her waist and spinning her around.
She beamed at me as I put her down, turning around to face the rest of the team.
"Hey guys, (Y/N)'s here!"
Everything paused when she said that, and everyone's heads turned towards us.
I first saw Eijiro, who had his arms hooking around Bakugo's shoulders, holding him in place while Izuku held out a pen in front of him as if it were a sword. Iida stood beside Shoto in a face palm, while Shoto looked incredibly amused.
"Hey guys."
"Hey (Y/N), what's up my man?!" Eijiro exclaimed, moving one arm to around Bakugo's waist so he could wave at me.
"(Y/N), I didn't know you were coming, what a pleasant surprise." Shoto spoke calmly, standing from his seat.
"Oh great, you're here! Guys, I called (Y/N) over to help us with the case since we're kinda stuck, I hope you don't mind," Izuku spoke, looking from person to person.
"It's great to have you on the team detective, a true honor!"
Oh boy, I thought, this'll be fun.
someone i follow followed me back a few days ago and i- ππ
hello, i like your book, you seem really coolππ
Fun Fact: Izuku cried the night after he interviewed his assistant because he looks like Sir Nighteye.
Over the past two days I've realized that I was not in the wrong in this situation and that I'm better without this person and that is a great feelingπ€ͺπ€ͺ
Reminder: Are you stressing over someone constantly? Are you wondering if you said the wrong thing to them? Are you worried that they might do something drastic if you upset them? Because β¨sameβ¨ but I'm here to tell you that baby, please, you do not need to waste your precious time on this person. They are a stressor for you and that is not healthy. Talk it out with them, and if that doesn't work, maybe you don't need them after all. I love you all.ππ
Over and out.
