I scrolled through my InstaGram feed while sitting in the lobby of Izuku's agency. I had only made my account because Kaminari wanted me to. He wanted to be able to tag me in photos, but I've only posted once. Well, Kaminari posted for me, it was a picture he snuck of me while we were at The Grove. I was hidden behind a plant, but my fake horns poked out from behind it. He captioned it, 'When you go undercover and it doesn't go as planned.'
I sat there, scrolling through my feed which was mostly just my hero friends and then Chiharu and Daichi. Chiharu tagged me in a photo of her coffee mug, one I had got her a few years back.
'Missing my boss and best friend :/ miss having coffee with you!' She captioned it. I smiled and liked the picture.
Daichi has a fairly sized account, him being an attractive guy after all. He tagged me in a photo sometime yesterday; a picture of him with his head slumped in his hand at his desk.
'Miss you:('was the only thing in the caption. I smiled and liked it, scrolling down to the comments for shits and giggles. The thing about Daichi was that he replied to every comment.

@nickiminjaj

@wannataste
'Why won't you respond to my dms :('
@daichiisthebest
@wannataste Because your dating my best friend???
I laughed at his responses, trying to keep quiet in the silent lobby.
"Hey, ready to go?" Izuku asked. I looked up to find that he had changed into a sweater with the sleeves rolled up and khakis. His hair was still a bit wet from his short shower.
"Yeah, let's rock and roll." We exited the agency, walking down the street. We started talking about different pro hero's, some lesser known ones, when a breeze hit. It was going towards the street, blowing Izuku's hair in my direction. It was a bit long, so it tickled my nose.
"Izuku, is that-?" I breathed in the air, smelling something fruity. "Are you wearing leave in conditioner?" I asked, trying not to laugh.
"H-hey! How else for you think I maintain these curls?" He asked, running his hand through them. We laughed and he blushed, looking up at me. "How'd you know?"
"I use the same brand." I informed him.
"Really?"
"Yeah, I don't use it that often, mostly just to make my hair smell nice on special occasions." I explained, looking around.
"Since when do people smell your hair on special occasions?" He asked, laughing.
I laughed with him. "Well, when people lean down to whisper stuff to me, or holding me close while dancing, their face is in my hair, so I figured it'd be kind of me to make my hair smell nice." Izuku furrowed his brow, almost a little angry.
"Why would they need to whisper stuff to you?"Β He asked a little harshly.
God damn Izuku, chill.
"Most of the time when I'm at a formal occasion I'm on a job and people need to tell me vital information so obviously they whisper it. You ok, you seem upset?" He calmed down after I said that.
"I'm alright, thanks." I nodded and we continued our journey, the conversation picking back up.
"Hey," I said after a while, "where are we going?"
"I guess I'm walking you home. Then I'll head home myself." He said, watching a neon sign flicker.
"Alright then, sounds good to me." We walked on, now in the direction of my apartment. When we finally arrived, he insisted on taking me all the way up.
Finally, we were at my door.
"Well, this is it." God, it was high school dating all over again. I unlocked my door, pushing it open. "Do you wanna come in? I know it's kinda late, but if you don't have work tomorrow, we could order Chinese food and binge stupid movies." I was hoping he'd say yes, I missed talking with Chiharu and Daichi every day.
"I wouldn't want to intrude!" He exclaimed, waving his hands in front of him.
"Izuku, I invited you in. Obviously you're not intruding. Now," I said, stepping in, "are you coming?"

We sat on my couch, I had just ordered Chinese food to be delivered.
"I didn't even know Chinese delivered!" Izuku exclaimed. I laughed.
"It doesn't. My friend Akira runs the shop, so he always offers delivery for me." I smiled, and Izuku's eye seemed to twitch.
"How do you know him?" He asked cheerily. He was clearly distressed. You ain't slick, I see you Izuku.
"I saved him from being killed in his home." Izuku's eyes filled with wonder as he looked over at me.
"Woah, really?!" He asked eagerly.
"Yeah," I lowered my voice, "getting shot hurt like a bitch though."
"What was that?" He asked. "Wait, did you say shot?!" He exclaimed.
"When I saved Akira, I got shot in the process." I pulled my collar over to the right, revealing a pinkish spot above my collar bone. "I was fine, it didn't hit anything, so I was well off."
I dropped my hand, collar snapping back into place.
"That's so heroic of you!" Izuku exclaimed, beaming at me.
I rubbed the back of my neck, embarrassed. "I was just doing my job." I said.
"But you took a bullet for him! That's so Plus Ultra!" He exclaimed. I swear his eyes got those anime sparkles in them.
I chuckled, "thank you."
Someone knocked on my door and I went to answer it. I haven't had Chinese in forever, I am SO pumped. I got out food and set it down on the coffee table, walking back to the kitchen.
"What do you want drink?" I asked.
"Just water is fine with me." Izuku nervously replied, opening the plastic container. I poked my head out from the fridge.
"Do you always get water?" I asked. He nodded shyly, so I reached in and got us two sodas.
"Do you need an antacid?" I asked before I came back to the living room.
"Hm?" He hummed, noddles in his mouth. I laughed at the sight.
"A heartburn pill. Do you need one?"
He shook his head no, swallowing. "Why do you ask?"
"So you don't get heartburn dummy! I don't get it whenever I eat Chinese, but you might." I said, shrugging and walking over. "I would have walked to the convenience store to get you some." He looked up at me, eyes following my face as I sat beside him, reaching for my own container.
"You would have walked down to get me some? You don't have any here?"
"No, do you keep antacids at your house if you don't get heartburn?" I asked, breaking my chopsticks apart.
"No, it's just that you offered it without having it. That's nice of you." He blushed madly, looking down at his food. I laughed at his cuteness.
"You get flustered so easily, Izuku. It's cute."
I swear he turned into a ripe apple.
Hi ππ
So excuse the little possessive Izuku, I just think he would be pretty possessive in a relationship, mostly because of his own insecurities. I also think he would get flustered over the smallest things so I had to put that in there. :)
Fun Fact: When (Y/N)'s eyes glitch out, they actually produce light! They can act as flash lights, and if it's dark enough (basically pitch black) you can see them shine through her eye lids!
I totally haven't been stockpiling songs that I think represent the characters in this book and how they bond with the reader into a playlist, what are you talking about?
Reminder to whoever needs to hear it: You don't need them. You can survive without them. It's ok. You are loved, you don't need them bringing you down. So go be a boss ass bitch, ok? <3
Should I do something special for chapter fifty?
Over and out.Β
