The movie credits played and I looked over at the clock.
11:39
I looked back down at the sleeping figure between my legs, still playing with her hair. Her breathing was calm, her chest rising and falling at a steady pace.
I looked around at the other girls, Jiro almost asleep and Mina and Ochaco still sitting in their seats.
"Out of all of us, I thought I would fall asleep first," Ochaco said, "not Momo."
"She hasn't stayed up this late since high school, so you can't blame her. Now she goes to bed early so she can wake up at four in the morning for her shifts." Mina explained, looking at Yaoyorozu.
"Four in the morning?!" I whispered shouted over to them. "How can you guys do that shit, I'd fall asleep on patrols."
"Energy drinks."
"Coffee."
Mina and Ochaco said, looking at each other.
"Coffee?"
"Energy drinks?"
I laughed at their antics, causing Yaoyorozu to stir. I stopped, looking down at her. She raised her head to look at me, our faces close.
"I didn't mean to wake you." I said, staring at her.
Women are so pretty oh my god.
"No, no, it's alright. I don't mind." We stayed silent for a minute, just staring at each other before Mina clapped, loudly.
"Alright, now that we're all up, we should do something!"
"What?" Jiro said, finally lifting her head. She looked around the room before seeing the position that Yaoyorozu and I were in. "Damn, did Yaoyorozu win al-" Mina slapped her hand over Jiro's mouth, chuckling.
"Ha, that's so funny Jiro!" She exclaimed, looking Jiro dead in the eye, smiling like a maniac.
"We should play cards! I'll go get them. (Y/N), you're tall, come help?" Ochaco said, sitting up from her place on the couch.
"We can get them, let's go!" Mina exclaimed, grabbing my arm and leading me off to god knows where.
"Mina, babe, we don't even know where the cards are." I informed her as she pulled me along.
"So it'll be adventure for us! Exciting, right?!" She exclaimed, giggling.
I laughed, starting to walk beside her. "I guess so, yeah."
Mina's hand slid down my arm and to my hand, interlacing our fingers. She started to swing our hands, making me a bit flustered.
God damnit, she's good at this.
"Oh! I checked the post I made of us earlier and it's doing really well! No body really recognized you though, why do you think that is?" She asked, still walking but taking a second to look up at me.
"Well I'm in the media, but not nearly as much as you guys are as pros. My face isn't on lunch boxes and benches and stuff either, so that's probably why." I explained, still trying to wrap my head around the fact how small her hand was compared to mine. It wasn't that big of a difference, but it was a difference. And it was cute as hell.
"That does make sense! You're so smart!" She exclaimed.
So she's trying to flatter me? Got it.
"Oh, thank you." We stopped in front of a closet door, and Mina pulled the door open.
Only seeing jackets, she closed it again.
"Dang, I was hoping that would be a game closet of sorts." She said, still holding my hand.
"Is it right of us to just look through her closets like this?" I asked. "Shouldn't we, you know, ask Ochaco where her cards are?"
"That's true, but it's kind of to late now... hey, where do you keep cards in your house? We can check there. If they aren't there, we'll ask her." Mina said, looking up at me.
"Alright, but still. I'm against going through her things." I said, raising an eyebrow.
I swear to god, my life is such a cliche, how did it come to thisβ
"Now that I think about it, it is kind of bad, isn't it?" She said, chuckling and rubbing the back of her neck. "I guess I just wanted you alone."
"What?" I said, laughing and pretending like I didn't know how she and every other girl here had a bet on who could kiss me first.
"Oh nothing." She said, smiling to herself and humming. I led her to the kitchen, our hands still connected.
"Why are we in the kitchen?" She asked, looking around the room.
"My family used to keep our playing cards in a drawer in the kitchen, so I'm looking in a few drawers."
"The kitchen?" She asked, opening one by the door and looking inside.
"Yeah? Why, where did you keep yours?" I asked, opening another drawer by the stove. It contained normal things like can openers and cheese graters.
"In a game closet, you know, like a normal person." She said laughing. I could hear her footsteps as she tried to quietly walk over to me, maybe trying to surprise me.
"I can hear you you know." I said, opening another drawer, only to find cutlery.
"Oh come on, I was being quiet!"
I laughed, turning. "My quirk gives me heightened senses, so I heard you." She pouted, looking up at me.
"Damn. So I didn't have a chance at surprising you then?" She asked, black eyes somehow looking bigger than normal.
"Nope. Sorry hon."
"Then I'll just have to try extra hard!" She exclaimed, winking at me.
"I guess so." I leaned down to look her in the eye, winking back. "Let's go ask Ochaco where her cards are, yeah?"
"Yeah," she stuttered out, flustered, "let's."

We sat on the floor in a small circle, playing Koi-Koi.
We laughed and joked around, playing several rounds.
"Wait, Wait, Wait, can I... hold on, I'm bad at math!" Jiro said, closing her eyes and mouthing out a few numbers, touching her fingers together as she counted. We laughed and her eyes flew open as she placed a few cards down.
"Yes! Finally! (Y/N)'s been beating my ass at this!" She exclaimed.
"Jiro, babe," Mina said, looking at Jiro over her own cards, "we've all been beating your ass at this."
"Ok, rude." We all laughed at Jiro's response as Ochaco placed a few more cards down, making Yaku.
"Ochaco's racking up points over here, hold on!" I exclaimed, pointing at a few of her piles.
"She's always beat us as Koi-Koi," Yaoyorozu said, "she's so good at it, it's almost strange."
"Hey, I had to fill my time as a kid, Koi-Koi was my game of choice." She said, elegantly putting her hand on her chest.
We laughed again, we never seemed to stop at this point. I'd never had friends like this before. It was nice. Comfortable. Warm.
Hello!
Fun Fact: When (Y/N) was discovering what her quirk could do, she would ask neighbors and friends for help. All they had to do was make eye contact with her once and be on their way. She has a lot of quirks she's borrowed, including Midnight's and an ice quick similar to Shoto's.
I'll probably use the next few fun facts to explain the readers "borrowed" quirks!
Reminder: It's completely ok if you're built a little different from other people. You're beautiful in your own way. Embrace your own beauty! ππ
So the other day I realized something quite startling. I do a lot of work for my community, and a part of that it is filming these videos that go online. That said, it donned on me that some of you might have seen these videos and know my name and what school I go to without knowing that you know. Like I said, very startling.
Over and out.
