"He did what?" Shoto asked, sounding furious. I imagined him gripping his phone hard, fist and jaw clenched. I wondered if it was a good idea to tell him.

"Yeah... it was uncomfortable to say the least. And I mean, it was weirder because I know that we aren't even dating! It added salt to the wound, being accused of cheating on my fake boyfriend! It's insane!" I exclaimed, throwing my hands up in the air. I scoffed, pinching the bridge of my nose.

"Well, that's the story of how I yelled at your father in public. Lovely, isn't it?"

"Very. Next time I see him, I'll give him a piece of my mind. He should know better than to come up to you like that." He practically growled out the words, making me panic a moment.

"That's not necessary! I just wanted to let you know. I thought you had a right to know." I really really did not want to be on Enji's bad side. Though I guess I already was.

"I can't just let him harass you like that, (Y/N). I won't allow it." His voice was firm and hard-set, it would be difficult to get him to change his mind.

"Shoto, listen to me. It's fine. People have yelled at me before. Sure, he got me upset, but that doesn't mean you have to confront him about it. Trust me, I'm ok. You're ok. Your dad's ok. Everything's fine." I reasoned, trying to get him to calm down.

"I'll still talk to him about it." He said and I sighed at his words. "But I won't get riled up. I'll try not to at least." I smiled to myself.

"Thank you Shoto."

"Anything for you my love." His words reminded me of something I'd been meaning to talk to him about.

"That's right, I've been meaning to discuss something with you." I said, not really sure what kind of answer I would get.

"What would that be dear?" He asked. I heard the ruffle of fabric over the speaker as he moved.

"What were you thinking talking to my father the way you did?" I asked. "Ochaco told me about your outburst in my office while I was missing too, so start talking."

He chuckled and I leaned against my counter, using my arms to steady myself as I listened to his voice through the speaker.

"Well, I had to show my dominance over everyone there."

"Dominance? Shoto, it was a meeting about a missing persons, with my parents no less! It wasn't a meeting of a wolf pack! What the hell where you thinking?!"

"I was simply letting everyone know I was two steps ahead in winning your heart. The chance was there so I took it. You can't say it's not at least a little romantic." He said, defending himself.

Two steps ahead huh? Tell that to Bakugo, Izuku and Yaoyorozu.

"Shoto." I sighed, bending over and leaning in my elbows. "We've had this conversation."

"I know dear, and I won't force you into anything, but I will never stop trying to win you over. Never. You're the one for me, my soulmate, I can feel it." He said, and I could hear the smile practically dripping from his face.

"I know. I just wish you'd move on though. I hate dragging you along on a string like this." I said, sighing.

"My dear, once I kissed your lips there was no going back. I am totally and utterly enraptured by you." He said, sounding star struck.

"I know you are, Shoto. I know."

Shoto and I spoke for a while after that, but eventually he had a shift and bid me goodbye, but not without telling me he loved me.

I sighed for what seemed like the fortieth time today, putting my phone down beside me.

I was laying on my couch, leg thrown over the back of it. I threw my arm over my face, shielding it from the light.

I wish Shoto would move on. I feel horrible stringing him along. He says he doesn't mind and that he'll wait, but one day he'll realize he wasted his life loving me.

And Yaoyorozu. What was that? That was so out of character for her! She would never just make out with people like that. But she did, and she did it with me. I mean, am I mad? No. Am I concerned? Yes. Would I necessarily say no if she offered to do it again? No.

Eventually I stopped myself from thinking about all of that, hoping to leave it behind for just one day. I got up and looked around, looking for something to do.

I wandered into my makeup room, where I kept all my stuff for going undercover.

Wigs, clothes, makeup, body suits, scar wax, brushes, contacts, fake horns, fake teeth, fake gills, fake tails. The works.

I slowly turned around and around, taking in the sight of the room and how messy it was. The closet was open and my usual filing system for clothes was beginning to get rather disorganized, and a few palettes and makeup bottles covered the vanity, the usual white painted wood dusted with eyeshadow and bronzer.

I only wore makeup to go undercover, something I did rather often, so I was always prepared. My pair of silicone gills were laid out, right beside a discarded wig head. I walked over and picked up a wig that was on the floor, most likely fallen over.

I picked it up and put it back on it's head, teasing it a a bit to get it back to a semi-normal state.

"You'd think I did cosplay for a living." I murmured as I started to tidy up the room, putting clothes into closets and on racks, putting makeup in their organizers and brushing knots out of wigs.

I hummed a tune as I wiped down my vanity, interrupted by my phone ringing. I stood, brushing my hands off and walked to the living room where I left my phone.

Picking it up, I answered even though the number was marked as 'Unknown.' I gave my card out a lot, what can I say?

"Hello?"

"(Y/N)?"

"Hey Hitoshi, how are you?" I asked, recognizing the tired voice on the other end of the line.

"I've been well. What about you?" He asked.

"I'm good. Excited to go back to work." I said, smiling to myself as I walked back to my makeup room.

"Oh yeah, you go back day after next right?" He asked, voice straining as he tried to remember.

"We have a winner! Yes, I go back day after next." I said, feeling giddy.

He chuckled at me, making me smile.

"Listen, I called to ask if maybe you wanted to come over for dinner tomorrow night. It was Denki's idea." He sounded nervous.

"I would love to! At your place?" I asked.

He paused and I swear I heard him whisper 'She said yes!'

"Yeah, at our place. I can send you the address."

"No need, I have a photographic memory so I remember where it is." I explained. Was that creepy? Do I sound creepy?

"Alright then, perfect."

"It's a date."

"Well?" Kaminari asked his roommate, "what did she say?"

Hitoshi places his phone down and let out a sigh of relief.

"She's coming."

"Hell yeah!" The blonde exclaimed, pumping his fists in the air. "I'm gonna be the best wingman ever!"

"I don't need a wing man, Denki, I'll do fine on my own." Hitoshi said, rolling his eyes and sitting down on their couch.

"Sure you do, man! For luck!"

HOW ARE YOU ALL SO SWEET I DONT UNDERSTAND ๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’ž

Fun Fact: A part of (Y/N)'s quirk is her different settings. As previously mentioned, she can see in ultraviolet and infrared, but she also has a Mathematical or 'Analytic' setting. This basically means she takes in data and can calculate things immediately.

Reminder: Stay safe, please. There are people that love and care for you and would hate to see you hurt. So please, please, please take care of yourself. Make sure you're eating and drinking, and if you're attending protests remember to wear your mask, bring water and hide your tats and piercings. I love you ๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’ž
