It's a Girl

A/N: Welcome back everyone. No, this isn't over yet, but man are we going to some pleaces. So please, enjoy.

Beca, Amy and Tony had gotten Chloe to the hospital as quickly and carefully as they could after the fight against the sinister trio. Amy had called all of the maniacs, who were all ecstatic to arrive as quick as they could. Chloe was in labor for most of the night while Beca remained at her side and the doctors ran their test. But for some reason, at one point during Chloe's delivery, something seemed to be wrong with Chloe and Beca was forced to leave the room without any explanation. That had caused a bit of anxiousness for her and the others.

"Beca, just sit down and relax, she'll be fine" Amy insisted as Beca paced back and forth in the waiting room.

"Yea don't worry, she's even tougher then you, and you know it" Aubrey added assuringly.

Beca only gave a small, weak smile in response before sitting down next to Amy. "Good, you were actually looking worse then Chloe did after that show for the President" Amy stated with a sly smirk, actually getting a snort and a small chuckle from her best friend. "Don't worry, you and her both will be fine" she encouraged again.

"Thanx" Beca smiled. "What about you, will you be ok?" she checked.

"Yea, I'm alright" she sighed anxiously. "I just hope Bumper is ok somehow" she admitted with a hopeful look.

Beca took the Australian's hand in her own. "I'm sure he is" she tried to enlighten her, receiving a small smile as well. "By the way, Captain Australia? Seriously?" she raised an eyebrow with a smirk, laughter threatening to break.

"W-what? I thought it was catchy" Amy laughed and Beca joined her.

"Thanx for being there" Beca mentioned.

"Hey, you know I'm always there" she smiled with a pat on Beca's thigh.

"So are we" Emily added from across them, next to Aubrey and Stacie.

"Shut it legacy" Amy rolled her eyes.

"Eat me rip off" she shot back.

"Oooo, that actually wasn't bad" Amy granted. "But I'm still gonna make you pay for that" she promised.

"Mhm" Emily smirked with crossed arms, Beca and the others laughing.

Beca then turned her attention to the nearly a year old baby in Stacie's arms. Both Stacie and her wife caught sight of this. "High on emotions, huh?" Stacie asked with a smirk.

"Yea" Beca scoffed. "Safe to say"

"Just remember everything we've all gone through and taught each other, let alone what you and Chloe have done together" Aubrey reminded. "Because considering all of that, I'm sure you two can handle a baby"

"Well, we did manage to handle you pretty well for so long, so I guess we can" Beca noted with a very smug look, Aubrey's expression turning into her famous death glare while Stacie used their daughter to hide her own near-die-of-laughter expression.

"Come on bree, even you can't deny that" Cynthia Rose laughed.

After a moment of trying to resist, not even bree could contain her laughter. Soon after, the others started joining in, this probably the best they had ever felt all day.

"Chloe Beale-Mitchell's family?" a doctor called as he stepped into the waiting room, Beca jumping to her feet first and was followed by the others and all their parents.

"I'm her wife" Beca replied as she walked up to the doc, a tall African-American gentleman who seemed very calm and kind.

"I'm doctor Joe Ellsworth" he introduced himself and shook the brunette's hand. "I'm sorry you had to be forced out, I'm sure that was scary"

"Was something wrong with her? Or the baby?" she nervously asked.

"There was some complications, but she's stable now" he assured. "And, you have a healthy baby girl" he added with a smile.

Words could not describe how that statement made Beca feel. She was a mom, she a kid, she had a little girl! A ball of life and joy that was her's to hold dear, her's and Chloe's. It was something new and pure, it was overwhelming at that. The other maniacs all cheered and congratulated Beca as she grinned brightly and joyously. "Thankyou" she scoffed as she shook the doc's hand.

"Congratulations" he smiled. "But I'm afraid there's also some bad news" he regrettably added, everyone's smiles fading and returning to the anxious looks of worry they had earlier.

"But you said Chloe was alright" Beca reminded in more of a question.

"She is now, but it seems she was under a lot of stress before her delivery" he informed. "Long story short, this has caused some severe swelling in her heart"

This had made Beca's heart flop. She knew that a swollen heart was never a good thing, and the fact that Chloe had one now was probably the scariest situation she had ever faced. "Will she be ok?" Beca hesitantly asked, the doctor was just as nervous as her.

"She may need a transplant" he answered, causing the brunette to break into tears. "There might be other options, but I really don't know what else to tell you" he regrettably added, not liking this anymore then her. "I... really do wish I could say something better" he noted.

"No, it's-" she shook her head as she wiped away the tears. "Ur doing everything you can, I know" she sobbed.

"But listen, hey" he placed a hand on her arm. "No matter what happens, just don't give up, ok? It's very important that you two keep fighting on" he encouraged.

Beca took a deep breath to calm and assure herself that everything would be ok, as difficult as that was. Out of all the dangerous situations she had ever faced, this was truly the scariest one ever. "Thankyou doc, I really do appreciate it" she thanked, and all he could do was nod before letting her be. Then, the other ladies started to comfort Beca and try everything they could to keep her spirits up. But the best part of Beca's life was starting to slip away, and she wasn't sure if she could do anything about it, or what would happen from this point on.

Shortly after, Beca entered the room where her wife was laying peacefully on her bed. The redhead had breathing tubes in her nose and was being kept calmer then usual due to her heart. She smiled upon seeing her wife enter the room and held out her hand for her to take. "Hey pretty lady, or pretty mommy as I should say" Chloe whispered.

"Not as pretty as you" Beca countered.

"Psshh, I'm not pretty, I look like hell" Chloe laughed.

"Well, you still look like heaven to me" she replied with a smiled.

Chloe still able to blush from the kind compliment made by her wife. "You really are the best wife ever" Chloe sweetly acknowledged.

"I'm afraid I'm gonna hafta disagree with you on that, cos you are clearly the best wife around here" she countered again, causing Chloe to giggle under her breath.

"You know, you used to say my heart was too big for a regular human's, I guess you were right and didn't even know it" she stated jokingly, but didn't get much of a laugh from her wife. "Sorry, guess that was a little too soon" she quickly retracted.

Beca gave her a small smile as a way of assurance, but she needed to get something off her chest. "I...I can't help but feel....like I caused this somehow" she confessed, the ginger furrowing her eyebrows. "Like, this only happened because of me, because I shouldn't have let you get involved in my life, and I ruined your's" she added with tears.

"Beca no" she whispered back with tears forming in her own eyes. "You gave me a life, you made me stronger, braver, and now you've given me a baby girl" she stated happily. "This is by far the best life I could've ever had, and despite the position I'm in now, I couldn't be happier" she added with her signature smile.

"But Chloe, you....you could die" she just barely whispered back, worriedly and with tears.

"Beca" Chloe squeezed her hand even tighter. "I am not going to die" she declared promisingly. "No matter what I hafta do, I'm gonna keep fighting, just like you always do, and we are both gonna watch Mary-Jane grow up into a beautiful woman" she promised again, bringing her wife closer and stroking away the tears on the brunette's cheeks. "Ok?" she smiled and received one in return, before her wife leaned in for a very passionate and reassuring kiss.

It was more then enough to help Beca feel better, and more hopeful, about this terrible situation. She didn't know how or if it was possible, but she believed in Chloe, just like always. The kiss only lasted a brief moment though, Beca not wanting to cause further heart problems, and they smiled at each other. "Ok then" Beca happily whispered.

"Have you seen her yet?" Chloe wondered, just now realizing it.

"Nhn-no" she laughed. "Haven't had the chance to"

"It's ok, I can't even remember if I-" she then had a thought. "You wanna meet her together?" she excitedly asked.

"I'll tell the doctor" Beca smiled eagerly and went to stick her around the corner to alert the nurse.

A minute later, that same lady nurse returned. Before that moment, Beca never thought that she would meet anyone more beautiful then Chloe, or that it was even possible. But at that moment, she did. Her breath was completely stripped away by the little squirming, crying ball of life in the nurse's arms. Chloe gasped at the sight of their newborn daughter, covering her mouth with tears of joy in her eyes before taking her into her own protective arms.

"Oh my God, hi" she joyously cried, and Beca could not hold back her own tears, nor did she want to. "She's so perfect" Chloe added breathlessly.

"Hey cutie, we're ur moms, it's great to finally meet you" Beca greeted, letting her index finger get captured by the tiny hand. Mary-Jane was the spitting image of her mother, soft bright skin, brighter blue eyes, and they could already see a little bit of the red in her short hair.

Chloe then turned her attention back to the brunette, mirroring her overjoyed expression. "Oh thankyou" she said before she brought her wife in for another kiss, this one lasting a little longer then the last one.

"No, thank you" she countered once they broke apart, and then reconnected their lips.

After getting to reminisce in the moment they've waited for so long, and finally getting to welcome their daughter into the world, Beca returned to her friends and family to continue to celebrate and bring them in to introduce them to her new baby girl. Beca and Chloe were practically smothered with congrats and sweet, proud and adoring compliments. However, there was one person that didn't just have kind words, but some unfortunate bad news as well. Tony Stark had to inform Beca that Kommissar and Electro were nowhere to be seen when his friends got there, bringing Beca to her determinedly vengeful state. They were still out there, still with their psychotic leader, still with their demented plan in motion, and that meant Beca still had a job to do.

X

The next day, Beca was standing by the window with M.J. in her arms, humming and watching the rain as Chloe slept. Beca had stayed by their side the whole night and thought about what she should do. Her plate was as stacked as it could've been at this point. She had a wife in a deadly situation, a newborn baby, a team of supervillains that were still out there and a city that was still in jeopardy. She brought herself outta her thoughts and averted her gaze to the peacefully sleeping baby in her arms.

"You look just as pretty as ur momma" she whispered with a smile. "You know what's the biggest thing you share in common with her? You stole my heart and changed my life, just like she did" she stated proudly. "And just like I've always wanted for her, there is nothing more I want then for you to have a normal, happy life. But more importantly, I wanted to give that to you and be a part of it. But the way things seem to be now, I really couldn't tell you how that's possible" she went on, more emotionally now. "To be honest, I don't know what kind of a life you two will have, or if I'll even be a part of it. But I do know that if I don't go now, then you won't have a life period, you or ur mom" she stated notably and regrettably. "I wish I could just stay here, be with you two forever and fight out of this, and maybe I'll still be able to if I make it back. But for now, this city needs me. And if I don't go now, then whatever chance at life that you two may have will go instead" she finished before she placed a kiss on the small little head of her daughter and carefully placed her back in her hospital infant carrier without waking her. "I love you Mary-Jane, and I'm so happy that you came into my life, and that I got to be a mother of my own" she continued before placing another kiss on her head and keeping her head right above her. "I'll come back for you" she added before leaning back up straight.

She then turned to see that Chloe had been awake and listening the whole time. She had tears falling down her red cheeks and sniffling them away. Beca had her own tears falling as she walked over to her wife a gave her a deep, sweet and reassuring kiss. "I always come back for you" she whispered after they broke apart.

Chloe smiled at the notion. "You always do" she whispered back.

Beca placed another peck on her lips before reluctantly pulling herself away, both still with streams of water running down their cheeks and both too worried to say anything else. They traded one last glance before Beca finally had to leave, the redhead unable to hold back her sobbing anymore. This was all so overwhelming for her, not really knowing if she would live or die, not knowing if Beca really would return, or even what would happen to Mary-Jane. She hated this, she hated being so helpless and wanting to be there for Beca and make things better, but unable to. And now, she was probably gonna lose everything.

No, that was not happening. She refused to just lay here and let everything good in her life slip away, not when she had everything she could possibly want and was at the happiest and most fulfilling point in her life. She was not going let a bunch of super powered maniacs take her life away. No matter what she had to do, even if it costed her of her own life, she was going to find a way, she was going to make things better. And most of all, she just might know a way to do so.

She wiped away the remainder of her tears and called for the nurse, asking her to bring Tony Stark inside. It was a minute later when the billionaire entered her room. "Hey, is everything ok?" he asked worriedly. "I just saw Beca leave and all she said was she's finishing this?!" he wondered.

"Yea, it's exactly what she meant too" Chloe clarified, scaring the avenger. "My wife is going out there, by herself, she's probably gonna die if I don't do anything about it she stated angrily. "I can't lose her Tony, I can't let this be my daughter's life. If there is any way... that I can make this right, you would know it. You've gotta help me Tony, there's gotta be something you know of" she stated in the most pleading matter she had ever did.

Tony looked almost terrified from what she was saying, or more like requesting, and needed no further explanation to know what she wanted. "You don't know what ur asking of me" he worriedly noted.

"Yes I do, I'm asking you to help me save my family" Chloe countered.

Tony was silent for a moment, considering what he could do, if this was the right choice and if she really was serious about this. "There might be a way, but we don't know what could happen, it could kill you" he tried to reason with her.

"If I don't do this, I'll die anyway"

A/N: Don't go anywhere, because this isn't over yet, and the next chapter is gonna be one hell of a blast. If you liked this and the others, you'll love this.
