The Carnage of Evil
A/N: Hello readers! Thankyou so much for ur support thus far, if ur surprised at the fact that this is still going well I hope none of you mind and won't be mad lol. Originally, the last chapter, My Flashlight to be exact, was gonna be the very last but then I thought of a way to keep this going and hopefully it'll be worth it and not just making this longer than necessary. I just think this could be a great continuation and possibly even pave the way for a part 3 ;-) so if so, please gimmie some feedback to let me know if all of you agree and are enjoying this new addition to the story. Ok enough of me lol sorry this was so long and enjoy.
Flashback, summer break, six weeks before the new school year:
Spider-Woman swung from building to building of her beloved city, thinking about school starting again, about the idea Chloe proposed to her about taking a break for a while and contemplating the idea, as well as most of the usual stuff she thought about like friends, her father, the city, etc. But most of all, she wished today could be just like every other ordinary day of being spider-woman, tho that would not be the case. Because today, she was keeping a very special eye out for a very particular criminal. Nobody knew his name, she only knew that he was wanted for 11 murders, the police commissioner made a televised call, asking or practically begging for the vigilante's assistance in bringing this killer to justice. But most of all, the killer was only known by what the paper's named him, The Carnage Killer.
The reason he was given the name was due to the fact that with each murder, he would take the victim's blood and write "CARNAGE RULES" on the wall or next to the body. He was believed to be a deeply disturbed psychopath and a homicidal sadist who enjoyed committing random acts of chaos and violence. Bottom line, he was someone who needed to be stopped and if nobody else could do it, their friendly neighborhood spider-woman could. Plus, knowing the topic of whether spidey should be arrested or not was still in discussion at this time, the commissioner agreed to drop any and all remaining charges that were still against the vigilante.
As nice as it would be, she didn't really care, she just wanted to stop this creep once and for all. So she kept eyes, ears and all senses on full alert, not willing to let this maniac slip away. She had spent half the day swinging and searching and fighting off other crooks before hearing a man screaming in the distance. She immediately rushed in the direction of the cry-out to put a stop to whatever it was. She reached an empty area protected by large buildings on all sides, where she found a man with a knife holding another man up against the wall.
"So, before I kill you, tell me what it was like, did you enjoy it?" he sinisterly stated, holding the blade up to the frightful man's face. Spidey jumped down, landing just a few feet behind the killer. The landing alerting the psycho to turn and face the vigilante, the helpless man charging away once he was free. "Well, the spider, I'm a big fan of the look" he slowly praised with an evil grin. "But ur execution is really boring" he dropped the grin. He had this look like this was a calm and casual conversation and not a big deal. "Don't you know real spiders liquefy their prey from the inside? Something to think about" he informed, the two circling each other while not leaving the other's sight.
"And ur the carnage killer, aren't you?" she replied with a threatening tone.
He just let out a dry laugh and smirked. "Cletus Kasady is the name, carnage is just a way of life" he stated.
"Well if ur a deranged nutcase than I guess so" she tilted her head, earning a chuckle from the evildoer.
"Oh little spider, the average person can kill all he, or she wants, if they only have the courage" he pridefully stated. "I'm only doing what you want to, but can't" he added is if it was obvious.
"Ur insane" the brunette snarled. "Killing someone has nothing to do with courage, and besides that I don't know what ur talking" she fired back.
"Oh yes you do, there's so much to learn from causing chaos and looking into a man's eyes when you kill him, and I can teach you all about being a true predator... and no more pretending to be a spider" he sinisterly stated before attempting to stab the vigilante with the knife, to which she blocked with little to no effort.
"Sorry but never trust or listen to a psycho's philosophy" she replied before flipping him over and disarming him of the sharp weapon before wrapping him up in her webs.
"This is pointless spidey! They say I killed 11 people but I've killed more and will keep killing until you kill me, and if ur too weak to do so than u'll regret it. It's kill or be killed!" he shouted as she put the finishing touches in her wrap up.
"Does this look like The Walking Dead to you?" she irritably replied.
"Come on, admit it" he dared. "In ur darkest moments, you wish you were more like me. Just....give in to it" he ordered, spidey having enough, finally decided to seal his lips with a web to shut him up.
"Real courage is not killing even when you really want to kas, something for you to think about" she remarked before taking out a paper note in her back pouch and attaching it to the murderer's cocoon for the cops. "And ur gonna have plenty of time to as well" she added with a pat on a the head. "Nice knowing ya asshole" she acclaimed before shooting off, mentally giving herself a pat on the shoulder for another job well done and one of the best at that.

Present day, Copenhagen Denmark, World's:
The Cleftomaniacs had just won the world's and were reinstated to compete in the following acappella tournaments. They were now back at the hotel that was nicely booked for them and were celebrating. Chloe was dancing around with Aubrey, Denise, Jessica and Ashley while Beca sat on a lounge chair, trading glances between her engagement ring and the goddess like redhead that gave it to her. Emily was chatting with the brunette earlier about how much disbelief she had about her song winning the world's, as well as her mom joining the harmony, until she saw Benji enter the hotel and decided to introduce him to her mother. Beca had this wide, lovingly smile as she traded her glances, then noticed Fat Amy, Stacie and CR all gathered on the couch, watching her with smiles as well. They sweetly laughed at each other once they made eye contact.
"I still can't believe your engaged" amy admitted.
"I know, how do you think I feel" beca responded with a slight laugh.
"You excited or what?" stacie asked.
"I am" beca nodded but seemed a little nervous. "I'm just worried I won't be a good enough wife for her" the brunette admitted worriedly.
"Hey if the red thought that, I highly doubt she would've proposed" amy encouraged.
The dj still had a worried look. "I just wanna be good for her and.....well taking a break was easier said than done..."
"Hey, you just got a rough start," amy added.
"But then you got a lot better" CR followed.
"Yea, plus when you want something real badly, you always nail it bec" amy continued to encourage. "And you've done really great since then. If you ask me, you being a good wife is inevitable" she gladly stated, receiving a shy smile from her bestie. "Plus, I think Jesse would be really proud of everything that's happened" she added with a smirk.
Beca turned to face the blonde with a sweet smile before bringing her in for a hug. "Thanx, love you amy" she quickly said in her shoulder.
"Love ya too webhead" amy replied.
"Awe can you two quit being so gay" CR grinned.
"Fffuuuck you" beca joked and they all laughed.
"And speaking of gay" chloe joked as well as she walked over to the group, kneeling over to place her palms on the brunette's thighs. "Guess what?" she cheerfully asked.
"W-what" beca chuckled.
"When we get back home tomorrow, we're gonna give young emily a proper initiation to the maniacs" she quietly announced.
"She'll love that" beca agreed.
"Yea" she laughed. "And then, since bree won't be able to sing with us anymore, she's gonna start packing her stuff to move" she frowned.
"Aw that sucks" beca furrowed.
"Yes, but afterwards, I was wondering if you would like to move ur stuff into my room and let emily have your's" she smiled.
Beca's eyes flickered. "Wait, you mean share the same room?" she had to ask.
"Mhm, like moving in together," she nodded. "Only just the same room and not exactly our own house, which we will get after like...graduating and such" she quickly added.
"Uh yea! Hell yea!" she smiled and the two excitedly exchanged smiles before embracing each other for a tight kiss. It lasted a good few seconds as the others clapped before beca broke away briefly. "Oh and are you ok with me switching rooms?" she asked amy.
"Oh yea, figured it would happen anyway, and I won't be too hard on the freshman" she smirked.
"You better not" the brunette threatened with a raised eyebrow and the singers all laughed before beca and chloe continued with their kiss.
The next morning, the Cleftomaniacs were at the airport awaiting for their plane to arrive. Everyone sat in the waiting area while beca was using the bathroom. As soon as she stepped outta the stall, she was unwantedly greeted by the all too familiar Kommissar. Just when she thought she'd never hafta worry about her again.
"You impressed little mouse" she complimented.
"Thanx" beca replied nervously and confusingly as she walked over to the sink and started washing her hands. "So did you" she complimented back, hoping this would make her go away.
"Thankyou, I must admit I did not expect you to show that amount of talent" she added, leaning on the wall next to the sink beca was using.
"Well I wasn't the only one on that stage" she awkwardly shrugged. She turned the faucet off and turned to leave but the tall german stepped in the way.
"None of those girls stuck out like you did, personally I think zey're holding you back" she asserted in that snobby, arrogant manor that the brunette knew her best by. "I think you should be with us" she offered smugly.
She was a little too close for comfort and this always made beca uncomfortable. If that wasn't bad enough, she got this small but very sudden urge to kiss the blonde. 'Come on beca, you can do this, you got this' she thought to herself before taking a deep breath and said, "I appreciate the offer, but I'm only talented because of them" in a sincere and forthright manor.
"You are responsible for your own talent" she calmly argued. "Besides, what will be left after your all graduated? We have a future, but you and the others don't, and we can give zat to you" she stated, stepping even closer, if possible, to the petite woman, making her even more uncomfortable.
Beca took another deep breath through the nose before replying and making sure she kept herself assured and strict with her words. "Look Kommissar, ur very talented and attractive I'll admit, but ur not really great as a person, and besides that I'm engaged" she raised her hand to show the silver circle surrounding her finger above the knuckle.
"Engaged to who?" the german lady brushed her hand along the brunette's cheek, beca let out a shaky breath from the contact. "Ze ginger? What could she, or any of those girls, give you when I can give you everything?" she cupped her cheek and slowly began to lean in. 'No no no beca don't' she thought to herself. "You were meant to be with me the whole time, why do you think I pushed for this?" she smirked, her face mere inches away.
'Come on bec don't let her get ya, let it out!' "Get away from me bitch!" she sneered. "You were tryna manipulate me into throwing off the maniacs game and get me to turn on them which I hafta say is a pretty cheap tactic for someone who claims to be the best" she quickly fired off, Kommissar looked mortified and taken aback, like a combination of having her game plan exposed and not liking the fact she wasn't getting her way. "Ur a snobby and pathetic excuse for an acappella singer and that ginger.....is the best thing that's ever happened to me" she stated more sincerely than ever and took in a breath she didn't have.
"Yea and speaking of the ginger" both Beca and Kommissar turned at the sound of the redhead's voice before chloe landed a hard, open-hand slap that sent the german lady stuttering into the wall.
"Oh my God!" beca shouted in astonishment and surprise.
"Come on babe" chloe ordered as she shook away the pain in her hand and grabbed beca's arm with the other to pull her out.
"I cannot believe you actually did that" she scoffed as the two rushed out the bathroom.
Once they came to a halt, chloe turned to her fiancee and her angry and frustrated look turned to a smirk. "I can't believe you actually stood up to her, I'm actually proud of ya" she grinned.
"Well" she twitched her shoulder. "What was I gonna do? Push you outta my life? Never" she shyly smirked.
Chloe's smile grew brighter and her light blue eyes grew sweeter before she leaned in to kiss her faithful girl to let her know how loved and appreciated she was. Neither of them ever got tired of sharing moments like these, except when they get interrupted. The two were forced to break apart when Kommissar stormed outta the bathroom and immediately locked eyes on the two. Her co-captain, Pieter Kramer, tried to find out what was bothering her but she just stormed past him. Beca and Chloe now on guard.
"You do not put your hands on me!" she shouted, whatever her intentions were after that, beca didn't wait to find out as she shoved the group leader away and caused her to half fly and half slide into her fellow DSM members, knocking a few of em down with her. Kramer crouched down to check on his co-captain and help her up before turning towards the couple.
"You two are gonna pay for this" he pledged.
"Kiss my ass aca-fucker" beca shot back before escorting her future bride to join the others in the waiting area.
The maniacs who were watching the commotion applauded the two once they arrived. "Aren't you two the badass couple of the year" Stacie grinned.
Before either of them could come up with a clever response, "Beca! Come here!" aubrey urged. When the singers made a path for the dj, she saw Amy had her laptop open and the former captain sat next to her watching. "Come on, you need to see this" she motioned for the brunette to hurry, which she did, taking a seat on the other side of amy to view the screen.
"This is from New York, it just came on the news" the Australian quickly informed before hitting play.
The screen showed a mid forties to late fifties castor in a suit, who had a worried look on his face. "Last night, Ravencroft Institution suffered a massive attack as one of it's patients, convicted serial killer, Cletus Kasady, also known as the Carnage Killer, broke free of the asylum and left a countless number of bodies behind" beca's heart raced from the announcement. She hardly gave any thought to this sicko since she captured him. But she fully remembered the impact he made on New York City, the chaos he caused and the fear he drove, and now he was back on the streets. But how? No-one ever escaped Ravencroft before, it was almost impossible. "Now the commissioner has put out a city wide state of alert, but to fully prepare you folks for what to prepare and search for, we're going to show you a security footage taken from the institute after the incident. However, I must warn all in attendance that what ur about to see is shockingly disturbing, and if there are any children in the same room with you, please turn them away" he stated before the footage popped up on the screen.
The camera hid in the upper corner of a hallway and pointed straight down the path that revealed a few dead bodies, some blood and a flickering ceiling light. A security guard with gun in hand appeared and slowly crept his way down the hall, staying on full alert. He silently stepped over any bodies and objects that laid in his way. He then practically swung his gun up like he heard something. He carefully peaked around the corner at the end of the hallway, and then all of a sudden, something seemed to have been lifting him up. Beca had to squint in order to realize it was some kinda blade that had pierced his body and was holding him in the air before sending him crashing into the wall. Whatever it was that had killed him appeared from the corner, and it....no it couldn't be, it looked like....Venom, no it wasn't venom, venom was black and this thing was red, but it looked exactly like it, only darker, more evil and even more dangerous. It was, it was a symbiote.
It was red and had tentacles that rapidly wiggled and sharper claws and teeth and looked to be even stronger than spidey and venom combined. But it couldn't be Kasady could it? The answer came quick when the monstrous figure used the red liquid on his body, possibly blood, to write "CARNAGE RULES" on the wall, it was him. Beca's eyes widened in horror before she slowly turned to Aubrey who reflected her expression.
"It's back beca"
