Time Square Fight

"Hey, where are you? Are you free?" Peter asked over the phone.
"Hi, uh yeah actually. You just missed Harry. We went for a walk on the beach. Where are you?" I asked.
"Heading into town. Meet me there?"
"Of course. I'll see you in 10." I smiled as I hung up the phone.

I made my way into town and it was darker now. Peter and I had a really nice dinner date. Then we went for ice cream and walked along the sidewalk talking about the past two month's. Every single thing we've done since the last time we were actually able to spend time together.

"So there's this place that has Korean meatballs. Oh, my gosh. They are mind-blowingly delicious. Have you been there?" I asked him as we walked down the street.
"I don't think so. We'll have to try there the next time we are able to go out." Peter smiled.
"Yeah, that would be really great. It sucks we haven't had time like this in a while." I nudged his shoulder.
"I know. We've both been so busy lately. Thing's at Oscorp might be slowing up soon. So hopefully, I'll get to see your beautiful face more." Peter caressed my cheek, gently.
"That would be really nice. I'd like to see your handsome face more. I only get to see you, sometimes when you're walking to work. You know how difficult it is to not want to just take your for a swing with me? But, that would cause so much attention." I laughed softly.
"Well, maybe sometime you should." He whispered leaning in close. "I've really missed you."
"I've really missed you." I whispered back.

Our lips softly touched for a moment, before my head turned away toward's time square.
"Cate? What is it?"
"Something's happening...." I mumbled quietly. "Just, uh, stay over here. Far, far away. I'll be right back." I gestured with my hand's and kissed his cheek before running off in the direction of my spider-sense.

In Time Square, the street's were loaded with people. One in particular was walking around, hoodie up, and unknown to the people around him, glowing blue. Filled with load's of electricity. Attracted to the power source connecting all of Time Square together.  He walked over to the electrical grid and opened up the grate, touching the sparking wire's with his hand's. The large tv screen's and street light's, store lights's, all started going crazy as he absorbed the energy through his body.

"Station I need a 10-85. Send additional unit's to the south end corner of Times Square." The cop on patrol said into his radio. He began shouting at the people in the square to get away from the man in the electrical box. "Everybody, out of the way, please! Sir! Get your hand's away from the cables right now. Sir, get your hand's away from the cables!" He shouted. As Electro looked up he confused shouting. "Let me see your hand's, please!"
He noticed the blue glow of his face and pulled his gun.
"You stay right where you are. Do not move! Freeze!" He yelled.
Electro stood to his feet, hand's up in front of him in surrender. Slowly backing away. He was scared and unsure of what was going on. A car horn went off beside him as he backed into the street. He put his hand's up to shield himself and electric current's sprang from his hand's. Lifting the vehicle from the ground and then tossing it over him.

The police man began shouting for everyone to leave the vicinity and the crowd's scattered and ran from the glowing blue monster in front of them. Electro was quickly surrounded by NYPD cop car's, blocking him in.
"Get on the ground now!" The NYPD officer yelled.
"Stop!" Electro yelled.
"Get your ass on the ground! Now!" Another cop yelled through the speaker system of the cop car.
"It's not my fault! Stop! Stop!"
"I need for you to get down on the ground now!"
"Please! The... The..." Electro stopped seeing his face on every time square television. "Oh. My gosh. They see me." He whispered quietly to himself as he spun in a small circle. "You see me." He repeated.
"Face down, arm's and leg's spread apart. On the ground now!" The officer's consulted to yell.

The officer's all pulled the pin's on gas container's rolling them out to him in hop's to get the person they feared as a threat down on the ground. Electro became so nervous that as they can's got closer. Electricity was conducted to the metal and they lifted spinning into the air. Electro let out a massive yell and the area around them exploded with a large burst of energy. Knocking the police officer's over, knocking over the police car's.
I swung in just in time to see one of the NYPD car's come close to crushing an officer. I jumped in front of them in my suit and caught the car with my hand's.
"Wow, I'm glad you're not one of those cop's that ride's a horse." I told the officer with a smile under my mask.

The recovering officer's began shooting at Electro, the bullet's only going through his electric body.
"All team member's hold your fire! Wait for my call!" The officer underneath me and the car said into his radio.
I twisted the car with my hand's and set it down up right. Then helped the other officer off the ground. I hopped on top of the car and looked at the man in the hoodie in the center of all this mess.
"Stop it, stop it!" He begged.
"Yo, sparky!" I called out and he turned slowly toward's me. "Hey, hi. How are you doing?" I waved as he looked at me.
"It's you." Electro said quietly.
"Yeah, I know it's me! Who are you?" I called back to him.

Electro took a step forward and the little amount of water on the ground, changed into a electric minefield over the street between us.
"You... you don't remember me?" He asked quietly again. I watched the ground grow with an electric current.
"No... Should I?" I asked quietly. The current surround a large set of bleacher's, with a ton of people on them. Trapped.
"I walked into the street. A car almost hit me. You swooped me up. You saved me. You said you needed me." He said desperately. Realization hit me.
"The guy... You're the guy with the blueprint's." I pointed at him as I spoke.
"Yes. Blueprint's."
"Yes, I remember you." I sat down on the car and carefully slid my way off the roof, back to the ground. Avoiding the electrical current beside me. "Of course, I remember you. You're my eye's and ear's. Uh, what's your name again?" I asked carefully as I walked forward toward's him.

"How could you forget me?" He growled and I stopped walking.
"Wait, wait. No, I do. I know it. Don't tell me." I wracked my brain trying to remember his name.
"It's max."
"Is it max?" I said just after he did.
"Yes." Max breathed in relief.
"I'm sorry Max. I didn't recognize you with the... you look different." I gestured to his body.

On one of the time square tv's, there was scaffolding, and on that scaffolding with a sniper preparing to strike Max.
"How are you, buddy?" I asked him softly as I approached him.
"I-I don't know what's going on with me." Max told me. I could hear it in his tone that he was scared.
"I-I can see that. I believe you."
"It's strange, the power I feel.  I got so much... I got so much anger." He said lifting his hand's and showing me the current running over him.
"I can see that, Max. I can see that you don't want to be here. I can tell that you're scared. I can see that you don't know what is happening to you right now."

Peter pushed his way through the crowd and stood at the front watching the confrontation between us.
"I can see that you don't want to hurt anybody. It'll be all right, okay? I'm gonna help you." I put my hand's up to show I meant no harm.
"I don't want them shooting me anymore." Max pointed at the officer's.
"They won't Max. they're not gonna shoot you anymore." I assured him. I looked over at the group of waiting officer's. "You guys!" I pointed at them. "This is my buddy Max. I told you about Max. NO ONE SHOOTS at Max!" I yelled over to them.

"Max?" Peter whispered looking up at the screen and able to recognize his face through the blue.
"It's just you and me talking. Whoa, whoa!" I said to make him stop walking toward's me. "Stay there, just stay right there because of the grate and the electricity." I explained and he stepped backward's.
"I just... I just... I just wanted everyone to be able to see me." Max said sadly, looking up at the televisions again.

"He make's a move you take the shot." The officer told the sniper on the scaffolding.

"How about you come with me and we'll go somewhere we can talk."
"Okay."
"We'll talk and we'll be away from all these people, okay?"
"Yeah. Yes." Max nodded his head and took a small step backward's. His heel landing in some water, causing him to shock himself. The sniper above took a shot at him.
"No! No! Don't!" I yelled with my hand's up.

Electro yelled in anger and stuck up his hand's. Electricity fed out from his hand's at the officer above. The metal scaffolding started to bend and snap. I shot out a web at his hand and pulled down. The electricity reverberated through the webbing and back into my wrist. Sending me backward's into the police car behind me. As my butt landed on the ground, I grabbed my arm in pain. It was shaking with being electrocuted, and destroying my left web shooter.
I looked up as the giant tv screen started groaning and creaking. Falling over toward's the ground. A police officer stood directly underneath and I webbed him with my other hand, pulling him away from the falling screen.

The crowd around me started to cheer loudly.
"Spidey, Spidey, Spidey!"
Every Tv screen changed from viewing Electro to viewing me and I noticed how upset he was. Specially as people started calling him name's.
"You stupid freak!"
"Booo!" The called out.
"Electro dummy!"
"Get out of here you freak!"
"She lied to me, he shot at me, they hate me. She's using me..." Max's mind played over and over.
"Shut up!" Max yelled.
"She's so selfish. She's dead to me."
"Stay with me, Max!" I called out to him. Gaining his attention.

"You set me up!" Max growled.
"No, no! I didn't set you up!" I out my hand's out toward's him.
"You lied to me!" He growled louder and his skin glowed even more blue.
"I promise you Max, I'm trying to help you. Let me help you." I said.

Max bent down and touched the grate's in front of him with his hand's. I jumped from the grate and back flipped myself away. Touching the cop car for a single moment, as I let go the car lifted from the ground too. Directly behind me was the metal bleacher's. The electricity ran up the current of the bar's to the railing's, and in front was nothing but grate's. I only had one available web shooter and a dozen people to save. Some of their hand's reaching for the metal railing's as they began to run away.
Quickly moving into action as I glided through the air. I pressed the button on my web shooter to make it spray webbing on both side's of me. Stopping the cop car in it's track's. I started to fall near the bleacher's and shot out web's from my one shooter grabbing onto the web and tossing it at one man's hand's about to touch the railing. I shot out another web grabbing the hand of another woman on the opposite side about to be electrocuted. I landed at the top of the bleacher's on my feet, crouched down.

The people on the bleacher's finally able to run down the bleacher's and away from the moving electric current.
"It's my birthday. Now it's time for me to light the candles!" Max yelled gathering a ball of electricity in his hand's and shooting it at me.
I jumped out of the way, flipping over the railing and webbing myself closer to Max. I looked down and noticed the fire hydrant near me. I shot out a web at the top and pulled. Swinging the hydrant around my head and back toward's Max. Electro shot out a electric current ball at me, slamming into my chest and I went flying backward's crashing through the store behind me. The hydrant smacked into Electro and sent him flying backward's through the air, up into one of the time square Jumbotrons.

The chanting began again in Electro's head and he looked around him. Grabbing two cables and attaching them to his chest. The entire city went dark as he roared, absorbing all that energy. A second later, a blast from all the energy shot out, knocking down every Tv in the area. Making them plummet to the ground. Peter stayed in his spot, while people ran around screaming through the square, desperately trying to avoid being crushed. Electro hovered away from the tv he had landed in and began shooting out electric beam's from his hand's at the people below who mocked him.
"Do we have a visual on Spider-Woman?" A police officer asked into his radio. "Does anyone have a visual on Spider-Woman?!"
Electro hovered closer to the ground, sending out more blast's. Until a large wave of water hit him, knocking him out of the sky.
"Whoa!" I yelled closing the valve on the firehose. Firemen and woman lined up behind me steading the hose. "All right that's enough." I sighed, slightly out of breath. "All right, Mike." He high fived me. "Big John. Nice job." He high fived me too. "Julia. Awesome work." She high fived me. "Nice work, guys. It's a pleasure doing business with you." I twirled around the hose.

The Police Officer's slowly moved in on the shaking body of Electro.
"Spider-Woman..." Electro growled angrily, unable to move.
As the people moved away from the scene, Peter moved into an alley way. Allowing me to scoop him up and web us home.
