Izuku POV:

Today we're finally going to be doing hero training. If I'm right, then All Might will be our teacher for this class. This is the chance to test out my powers on my classmates to see where I stand against them. A few of them I can tell from the quirk assessment training that they'll be hard to fight. While others will be easy. We spent most of the morning with our standard classes and such. Then lunch, then classes. So the last class of the day has to be with All Might. The door opens and someone shouts.

"I AM HERE! COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!!" It's All Might! "Wow! So All Might really is here." "This year is going to be awesome." "He's wearing his silver age costume." I heard some people saying. "Today we will be going to be doing some special training. Battle training!" He announces. 'Yes!' I think in my head. "Have you heard the saying, 'The clothes make the man'? Well that's the case for heroes." He says pressing a button and a wall opens up with cases coming out of them. 

Before going to UA, we had to fill out costume forms for how we wanted out costumes to look. I went with a basic green one piece design design. With white gloves that go up to my upper arm, shoes with iron soles, a belt, and a respirator mask. "Now, I'll let you all get changed. Meet me down at ground beta." All Might says exiting out the door of the classroom. I'm glad I decided to leave my Spider-Man costume in my bag today. 

Timeskip after they change outfits:

We change into our hero costumes. I try looking for Ochako, but I can't see her anywhere. "Hey, Izuku. There you are." She says. I look for where I heard her voice and- Oh my god, what did I do in a past life for this to happen. Her costume is to tight! "H-Hey Ochako. You're costume l-looks really good." I say complimenting her. "Thanks. But it came in tighter than I expected." She says rubbing the back of her head. "Now. Let's get started." All Might pulls out something from his pocket. "Your test. Two villains have planted a bomb inside the building. It's the job of the heroes to stop them. The heroes can win by either securing the bomb or capturing the heroes. And the villains win if they can capture the heroes or if time runs out. Now, line up and I'll give you all your teams."

He assigned all of our teams. And to my luck being partnered up with my best friend. After we got our teams matched up, All Might pulled out two boxes that say 'Hero' and 'Villains'. "Now. To determine which teams will fight which, I'll be drawing lots to see which team is the heroes and which team are the villains." He says. The two lots he pulls out are team A for heroes and team D for villains. So we're going to be fighting Kacchan. I looked over to him and he just gives me a pissed off glare. "Now. The villains will be given a map so they know where the bomb is. They will be given time to protect the bomb. While the hero team will be given time to strategize. The rest of us will be going to a monitoring room. Follow me." All Might says handing each of us headsets to talk to each other. Kacchan and Iida went inside leaving me and Ochako to come up with a strategy.

"Okay. I think we should split up. You go after the bomb and I'll deal with Kacchan." I say getting a weird look from Ochako. "Um, Izuku. I know that you have new skills, but I don't know how going against Bakugou on your own would be the best idea." She says with sweat dropping. "But if you have an idea, I believe in you." She says pumping her fist. "Right." I say. "Okay, Iida probably took precautions and took out everything that you can make float. So you'll have to stall him until I give you the signal." I tell her. "Alright. That'll be easy." She says with a determined look. I nod and give an equally determined look.

"Hero team! It's time for you to go in." All Might says over the intercom.  We enter the building and approach with caution. We want to go slowly until we find Kacchan. Then we split up. We keep going, then I feel my Spider sense go off and grab Ochako to get her out of the way. "DEKU!" I hear Kacchan yell as he blasts where I was previously standing. He brushes the smoke out of the way. "Defenseless Izuku. I'm gonna prove your quirkless ass doesn't belong here." I nod at Ochako and she leaves. He sees her leave and puts his attention back on me. "So Kacchan. Let's do this." I say getting into a fighting position. He comes at me with his normal starting move, a right hook. I catch his arm and slam him onto the ground hard. "Dammit! What was that?!" He yells. "You always start with a right hook when you fight." He gets annoyed and tries hitting me with an explosion, but I simply move to the side and kick him in the face.

"Dammit! How are you doing that?!" He shouts in anger. "Training." I say bending the truth. Now I gotta tire him out and by Ochako some time. "Dammit Deku, get back here!" He yells chasing after me. I manage to lose him in one of the corridors. I look for a good spot for my plan to go through. My spider sense goes off again. I turn around and see Kacchan. Suddenly his gauntlet just glowed red. "All full." He says under his breath. "What do you mean?" I say confused. "You've been around me for years, so you should know how my quirk works. I secrete a nitroglycerin like sweat from my palms. Problem is I can only make so much. So imagine what would happen if I had a bunch of it. It would make a massive explosion." He says raising his arm at me and pulling back a part of his gauntlet. A pin pops out and he grabs it. Wait, is he actually gonna do it? He's insane. "So. Let's see if you're fast enough to dodge this!" He says with venom in his voice.

"Young Bakugou, don't!! It could kill him!!" All Might yells on the speaker. "He'll be fine as long as he dodges!" He yells and pulls the pin. He actually did it! I don't have enough time to think. I can't cling to the walls or I'd give myself away. And I can't dodge it from this distance. All I can do it take the hit and hope for the best. The explosion finally hits me and a burning feeling surrounds my whole body. I hit the wall behind me and it feels like I was hit by a truck. That was on fire. Driven by a maniac. Though I guess that isn't inaccurate.

I slowly stand myself up and look at Kacchan. "Wow. It's stronger than I thought it would be. Imagine the power with both of these." He says admiring his gauntlets like a psychotic. "Hey, did anyone get the number of that bus that hit me?" I say finally getting up. "Young Bakugou! I forbid you from using that attack again!" Thank you All Might. "What?! Why not?!" "This is just training. You shouldn't be trying to kill him. And as a villain, it's foolish to compromise the integrity of your stronghold." This sets off Kacchan more. Didn't think that could happen. "Fine! I don't them to take this nerd down by myself!"

 I positioned myself into another fighting stance, but I got hurt pretty bad. So my movements may be slower than usual. He launches himself at me. He goes in for a right hook. But why would he do that? He knows that won't work again. He knows this as he uses an explosion to send himself over me while also cutting off my vision. He goes behind me and blasts me in the back. He grabs my arm and uses an explosion to knock me into the ground. I manage to get up and use whatever strength I have and keep the fight going. He launches himself in the air and shoots at me like a rocket, but I use my agility to evade. 'Come on. Get into position.' I think trying to get Kacchan to get in the right spot. "Kacchan! Use that gauntlet again!" I yell at him.

He looks at me surprised, but grows a sadistic smile soon after. "Young Bakugou! Use that gauntlet again and you WILL fail this assignment!" "No All Might! I want him to!" I yell at All Might who remains speechless. "Well. If that's what you want!" He says getting ready to use it. "Ochako. Grab the third pillar to the window." I whisper. "Right." She says. "Goodbye, DEKU!!!" But before he pulls the pin, I jump over him like he did me, and I use the capture tape All Might gave us to aim his arm at the ceiling, then I pull the pin and the explosion is able to make it to the floor Ochako and Iida are in. Through all the smoke and debris, I can see Ochako hold onto the bomb.

We won.

"THE HERO TEAM WINS!!!" All Might announces. I let go of Kacchan and fall to the ground exhausted. Kacchan turns to me in anger. "You damn nerd! You were playing me! This was your plan from the beginning, wasn't it!?" He yells. "N-No. It wasn't. My plan was to tire you out and help Ochako fight Iida. But I that went to hell when you hit me with that big explosion. So I had to improvise. I never looked down on you, Kacchan. And I never played you." I say before passing out from the pain.

Third person POV:

Bakugou looks at Midoriya in shock and anger. "Dammit. He still managed to beat me even though he was so injured." He says through his clenched teeth. "But what if I didn't use my gauntlets. I couldn't land a single hit on him before then. So if this was a fight without items, then would Deku have beat me?" This thought makes Bakugou hyperventilate. Then he feels a hand grasp onto his shoulder. "Come on, young Bakugou. You may have lost, but there is nothing you can't take out from an experience like this." He says.

Timeskip Izuku POV:

I wake up in Recovery Girl's room and I wake up feeling some fatigue. "Oh good. You're awake." Recover Girl says. "When you're ready, you can leave." She says. I thank her and go back to class. I think back on what happened during the fight with Kacchan. Does he really think that I was looking down on him? I make it back to class to get my things and see Ochako. "Oh, hey. It's Midoriya!" One of them with red hair, I think his name is Kirishima. "That fight was manly. I'm Eijirou Kirishima. I was just discussing the fights with the guys here." He says introducing himself. "I'm Hanta Sero." A guy smiling introduces himself. "I'm Mina Ashido!" A peppy girl with pink skin says jumping excitedly. "Um, hi. It's nice to meet you guys." I say sheepishly.

I see the doors from the other side of the room open. Ochako and, Kaminari I think his name is, are coming in with books. "So do you wanna go out some time?" Saynosaynosaynosaynosayno. "No thanks." She looks over to me. "Izuku!" She runs over to me leaving a disappointed Kaminari. Take that. "Are you okay? That was crazy what happened." She says with concern. "It's okay. Recovery Girl's quirk worked good. Where's Kacchan. I need to talk to him." I say an everyone has a look of worry on their faces. "He left not too long before you got back. He said he didn't want to be here anymore than he had to." Kirishima said.

I quickly grab my stuff and rush out to talk to him before he leaves. I finally catch up to him at the courtyard. "Kacchan!" I yell out to him. He turns around and glares at me. "What?" He says in a low tone with venom behind it. "Kacchan. I just want you to know-" "What? Are you here to brag about you winning? That you beat me?" He says accusing me. "No. I'm just here to tell you that I wasn't looking down on you. I just had a plan so I could win the training. But I never looked down on you. My plan was to exhaust you until you couldn't fight. Because if I went in a long fight against you, I probably would've lost until you were exhausted. That last move was just me improvising. And my new abilities, that's not  quirk. I've just been training for months preparing for the entrance exams." I say and he looks angrier than before. 

"That just pisses me off more. I was always better than you at everything. But now I lost. For the first time in my life, I lost. And to make it worse, it was to you! A quirkless loser! And what that ponytail girl said was true! I was an idiot! And when I saw that fire and ice guy, I knew I couldn't beat him in a one on one fight! Dammit!" He looks at me with tears in his eyes. That's the first time I've ever seen him like that. "Listen now, Deku! Enjoy this victory while it lasts! It'll never happen again! I WILL become the number one hero! And you'll be eating my dust!" He says turning around and leaving.

This was the most vulnerable I've ever seen him. And the first time I ever saw him cry. Kacchan. Next to Ochako and my mom, you're the person I want to tell most about my secret. 

But I guess that can wait.
