Chapter Sixteen : Let's Go Home

~ Laurin's P.O.V~ 

As I reached the castle I was stopped by a guard.

" You can not pass " He said.
" I'm a member of the King's Wolf Slayers. I need to speak with the King " I spoke.
" Follow me " The guard replied as he nodded his head.

He took me into the castle and lead me up to the King's meeting room. I walked in and the guard left.

" Ah Laurin. To what do I owe the pleasure of seeing you again? " He asked with a smirk on his face.
" Oh you know why " I said.

I used my speed and ran over to the King. I grabbed his head but he punched me back.

" You won't win " He said.
" You may have won the fights, but I'll win the war " I smirked.

We both charged at each other and kept fighting. Punch, kick, push, hit. We both kept doing random fighting techniques. Suddenly he managed to grabbed my head.

" Any last words? " He asked as he pinned me to the table.
" I won't let him die in vane " I said.

Shock was all I saw in his eyes. I quickly flipped us and I grabbed his head, killing him in mid air.

I had done it.

I had killed the King.

Loud yells and screaming was what followed. Everyone could feel the loss of their King. Guards burst into the room and grabbed me before I could make a move. I thrashed around but it was no use. They brought me into the prison and threw me into a cell.

" Your trial will be in a day " One guard hissed.

It was Vampire law that if you committed a crime, you must have a fair trial. I knew it was pointless, I had gone on a suicide mission and wasn't coming back alive.

" I'm sorry Alex " I whispered before darkness consumed me

~ Alexander's P.O.V~

" So I'm sorry but I have a mission to complete"

Before anyone could even talk, Laurin was gone.

" NO! " Her friends yelled.

We all got up and ran as fast as we could after her.

But it was too late

I dropped to my knees and let out a painful howl. I heard the pack run up behind me, but I didn't pay attention. A hand went on my shoulder and I looked to see Nick

" We'll get her back " He promised.
" Were is she going?! " One of my pack members yelled.
" To kill the King " Nick said emotionlessly.

A few gasps were heard along with whispers.

" We're getting her back " I growled.

" Let's go " I said.

The plan was for my pack warriors to surround the castle then me, Nick, and Abigail would sneak in and try to get Laurin out.

" They would give her a day until her trial. So we have about four hours to get her out and back " Nick spoke.
" We can do that " Abigail assured.

I grabbed a pair of shorts and shifted. My pack warriors shifted as well.

" Follow us " Nick said.

We all raced as fast as we could to the castle. As we approached, we slowed down.

I looked around and the vampires all seemed to be filled with rage. Their eyes were bright red and their fangs were out. Their King dying took a toll on them.

I quickly shifted back and threw on the shorts. I gave a nod to the warriors and they all quietly made their ways around the castle.

" Ready Alpha " They all mind linked me.
" Let's get back our Luna " I replied confidently.

Nick looked at me and I gave him a nod. We quietly made our way to a near by door. There was only one vampire there. Nick sped over and killed him. We ran and knocked down the door. Inside was a set of stairs that lead down.

" Dungeon " Abigail whispered.

We all made our way downstairs and into the cells. Nick peeked around the bottom corner and then turned back to us.

" Eight " He mouthed.

I nodded and Nick counted down.

" Three "
" Two "
" One "

We all ran and fought the vampires. I killed two off easily but then saw the rest were attacking Nick and Abigail. I ran over and killed some of the ones attacking Abigail. We killed ours off and looked at Nick. He was fighting off two. I ran over and killed them along side him.

" Thanks " He said quietly.
" No problem " I replied.

We made our ways down the row of cells. I searched a few cells before Abigail called out

" Found her! " She quietly yelled.

I ran as fast as I could over.

" Laurin " I sighed.

Her head snapped up and she turned to me.

" There's no way I'm gone yet " She said.
" No, you're good " Nick reassured.
" Why did you come back? " She asked.
" Cause you're our family and we won't leave you " I said.

She smiled and I grabbed the near by set of keys. I unlocked the cell and Laurin ran out. She ran and pulled me into a bone crushing hug. I hugged her back and she silently cried into my chest.

" I had too " She cried.
" I know " I sighed.
" You're not mad? " She questioned.
" I could never be mad at you " I whispered.

Laurin moved and quickly crashed her lips onto mine. Sparks flew throughout my body but the moment ended too soon.

" Do that later! " Nick whispered/yelled.

Laurin blushed and hide her face in my chest. I quietly laughed and grabbed her hand.

" Let's go " I said.

We all quickly and quietly made our way back up the stairs. Once we got to the top, chaos was all we saw.

~ Laurin's P.O.V~

All we saw were vampires and werewolves, fighting. It was obvious werewolves were winning but I wouldn't leave everyone here to fight.

" Let's go " Alex said.
" No " I argued as I ran towards the scene.

I used my speed and tackled a vampire that was about to kill a brown wolf. I killed him as we hit the ground and turned back to the wolf. He nodded and I smiled.

A howl of pain was heard.

I snapped my head to the side and saw seven vampires tackling a wolf.

ALEX!

All I saw was red as I ran as fast as I could to help. I took down three of the vampires and killed them. Alex had gotten three but jut as the last one was about to get away, I killed him. I ran back to Alex.

" Are you ok? " I asked frantically.

The wolf nodded and nudged my side. I turned and saw all the vampires dead. Some of the werewolves had shifted back. One of the warriors threw Alex a pair of shorts and he shifted back.

" Leave the rest of the kingdom " He said.
" Yes Alpha " The ones who had shifted replied.

" Let's go home "
