Chapter Four : Nice Try

~ Alexander's P.O.V~

My mate passed out in my arms.

" Get the pack doctor to my house " I mind linked Ryder.
" Got it " He said back.

I ran as fast as I could back to my house. I opened the door and put my mate down on the couch that was in the living room.

" Alpha " The pack doctor, Allie, greeted as she walked in
" Allie " I greeted back.
" Vampire? " She asked as she walked over to my mate.

I nodded.

Allie examined my mate and then turned to me.

" She hasn't fed " She explained.

What? My mate was a vampire, why didn't she feed?

" Ok. Do you think you can get some blood bags here for her? " I asked.
" I'll see what I can do Alpha " She answered.
" Well thank you " I smiled politely.
" It's my job " Allie replied as she left the house.

I heard her leave and her close the door but less than a second later the door opened and in walked Ryder.

" What's going on? " Ryder asked.

He sniffed and then looked at my mate. He growled but I growled back and stood in front of her protectively

" She's your mate " He said.
" Yes " I growled.
" Relax dude. I won't hurt her " He promised.
" Sorry " I said.
" No, I get it " He replied.

He walked into the living room and sat down on my other couch.

" What happened? " He asked.
" She hasn't fed, so she passed out " I explained.
" She's a vampire, why didn't she feed? " he asked.
" Cause I won't " A soft voice answered.

~ Laurin's P.O.V~

" What happened? " Someone asked.

Beats me.

" She hasn't fed, so she passed out " The Alpha explained.
" She's a vampire, why did she feed? " The guy asked.
" Cause I won't " I answered softly as I opened my eyes.

Both their eyes snapped to me and in an instant the Alpha was by my side.

" Are you ok? " He asked.
" I'm fine " I said as I sat up.
" This is Ryder " The Alpha introduced as he pointed to the other guy in the room.
" I'm the Beta " The guy smiled.
" Laurin " I introduced myself.
" And I'm Alexander " The Alpha added.

I nodded.

" Well I'm going to go " Ryder said.
" Bye " Alexander replied.
" Bye Ryder " I said politely.
" Bye guys " He smiled at us.

I heard the door close and then me and Alexander were alone.

" Why haven't you fed? " He asked.
" Cause I don't like killing humans " I replied.
" Animal blood? " He asked.
" Tastes bad to me but I'll drink it every once in a while to live " I said.
" Oh " He mumbled.
" I learn to control my thirst so no one would die " I explained.

He nodded in response.

I lied back down and stared at the roof.

" You're half witch right? " He asked.
" No, I just have some of the blood. Just enough that I can small spells." I explained.
" Cool " Alexander said with a smile.
" Thanks " I said back.
" So your still not a full vampire? " He asked.
" No, technically I'm not a full vampire. I can do everything they can but I can sleep and don't need blood as often " I explained.
" Ok " He said in response.

We sat there for a few moments in silence.

" Favourite animal? " He asked suddenly.
" Strange enough, s wolf " I answered as Alexander smiled at my answer.
" Favourite colour? "
" Black "
" Favourite song? "
" Let you go by Machine Gun Kelly "
" Favourite Tv show? "
" The Walking Dead "
" Favourite book? "
" Oblivion by Sasha Dawn "
" Favourite movie? "
" World War Z "

He paused for a moment.

" I'm already out of ideas " He said.
" My turn then " I smiled.

I thought up a few questions and then asked.

" Favourite scent? " I asked.

He sniffed the air

" Strawberries and vanilla " He answered.
" Favourite colour? "
" Red "
" Least favourite food? "
" I hate sea food "
" Favourite movie? "
" World War Z "

I smiled at realizing we have the same favourite movie

" Favourite thing in the world? "
" You " He answered with a grin.

I looked at him and smiled.

"That was cute " I said.
" Well its true " He shrugged.

I blushed and looked down. Two fingers wrapped around my chin and moved my face so I was facing Alexander again.

" Don't hide from me " He said.

Suddenly I felt a pair of lips on mine. He was kissing me. I quickly kissed him back. Sparks flew throughout my body. We pulled away and I saw that his eyes were gold. His wolf had taken control

" Hi " He said.
" Hey " I said back.
" Wanted to meet you face to face without Alex" He smiled.
" Nice nickname " I laughed.
" Well I'll see you later mate " he replied.
" Bye " I said back.

His eyes changed back to normal. Alexander was back

" I'm calling you Alex now " I smiled.
" Fine " He murmured.

I got up and walked towards the door.

" Where are you going? " He asked.
" For a run " I replied.
" I'm coming and there's no arguing about it " Alex insisted.
" Fine " I said.

We both walked out of the house and into the woods. Alex walked behind a tree to shift while I hid in a tree to scare him. What can I say? It fun.

I watched as Alex came out in his wolf form. He looked around frantically and then howled. The sound of his howl was sad and it felt like my heart broke.

" Don't do that " I said as I jumped down.

He tilted his head sideways in confusion. 

" Howl like you just did " I explained.

He howled again but this time more happily. I smiled and walked over. I pet his head and he purred.

" Nice purr wolf boy " I said teasingly.

He growled and tried to look tough but all I saw was a cute playful wolf.

I laughed.

" Nice try " I smiled.

He growled and hit my side with his paw. I laughed and ran off. I ran a little ways away and jumped back into a tree. I listened and heard his paws hitting the ground. I looked down and saw him staring up at me from below.

" What? " I asked innocently.

I jumped down and was instantly pushed to the ground. Alex stood over me and pinned my hands to the ground. I could easily get out of this, but I wanted to see how this goes.

Alex growled.

" What? " I asked again.

He gave me a look and I knew what he wanted

" Fine! I'll stay with you and won't run off " I lied.

He got up off me and I ran.

I laughed as I ran off further into the forest. I could hear him gaining on me, so I took a sharp turn and ran the other way.

" Nice try " I smiled.
