The Alpha's Teen Mate (33)
"We getting any closer?" I ask as Rao quickly jumps over a small creek, running faster.
"It's like he's playing us," Rao admits, and I furrow my eyebrows confused at what she means.
"You mean he seems close, but he's not actually?" I say and Rao nods her head.
"I can't seem to find Zara, or Fallen either," Rao states right when she gets tackled.
"Oh god I'm sorry!" Fallen announces and I hear Zara laughing so hard, she sounds like she's gonna cry. Rao gets back up and shakes off the excitement.
"Watch where your going next time," Rao mumbles as Fallen shakes off as well and whimpers.
"I am sorry," Fallen apologizes again, and Zara sighs.
"You find him anywhere yet?" I ask, and they both shake their heads.
"When we get close he scent disappears, and then it takes forever to find again," Fallen says as Zara changes back, grabbing a bag from behind the tree quickly getting dressed.
"We will catch him, and kill him," Zara growls tying up her hair into a messy bun.
"If he wants to play tag, I'll happily chase him," Rao admits, changing back after Fallen does.
"He won't live long, that's for sure," Fallen says and Rao nods, agreeing with her.
"You gonna let Dakota back in charge?" Zara asks, earning a sigh from Rao. Slowly but surely she let's me back in control, and I let out a groan.
"It'll all be okay soon," Fallen says as she hands me a spare pair of clothes.
"Thank you, both of you," I whimper slipping on the clothes, Fallen dressing herself too.
"Who we chasing?" A voice sounds from behind us, as we all spin around symmetrically, coming face to face with Riaz.
"You!" I growl loudly and he chuckles, thinking this is a game.
"Calm yourself young one," Riaz calmly says as Zara touches my arm to keep me from killing him, right here and now.
"You killed my sister! Do not tell me to calm myself," I warn as he takes a few steps towards me.
"First off I didn't kill your sister, second why is the blame being put on me?" He bluntly asks, and I grit my teeth.
"Your scent was on that wolf that killed her," Zara says, and Riaz rolls his eyes.
"That doesn't mean I'm the killer," Riaz shrugs, and Fallen growls.
"Then who killed her?" I ask trying not to cry, just talking about her.
"Why do you think I know?" Riaz asks confused.
"Because everything about you, makes you seem guilty!" I yell out, and he crosses his arms over his chest, glaring at me.
"I didn't kill your sister Dakota. I may have had it out for you when we first met, but I didn't have it out for your sister," Riaz admits, and I shiver.
"Then who killed her..?" I whimper slowly dropping to the ground, tears welling up in my eyes.
"Did she have enemies?" He asks and I look up, the tears now blurring my vision.
"She was too nice to have enemies," I choke out, earning a sigh from him.
"I can help," Riaz softly says, growls erupting from Fallen and Zara.
"Fuck no," Zara warns.
"No way in hell!" Fallen yells, both of them extremely defensive.
"So you really didn't kill her?" I ask softly, and he nods.
"I promise you, I would never stoop that low," He assures me, and I slowly stand back up, wiping away the tears that escaped.
"Stay on the down low if you want to help us," I admit, earning disgusted looks from Fallen and Zara.
"You scared I'll get caught by your precious mate?" Riaz chuckles, asking.
"Yeah, I am. So stay low but keep an eye out. If you have any problems, you know how to contact me," I sigh, and he nods at me before taking off to the deeper parts of the woods.
"You better make sure you didn't make a mistake trusting him," Fallen groans, and Zara sighs rolling her eyes.
"I didn't, trust me on this. I know what I'm doing," I assure, slightly smiling at both of them.
