We eventually make it the infirmary, no clothes needed I head inside looking for Nathanial hoping I find him.
"Miss you can't be in here like that," A nurse says and I growl glaring at her.
"Where is the little boy that was brought in here? I warn and she shivers.
"He's in the last room..to the left," She says as I push past her and take off down the hallway.
"We need to hurry, William's scent is getting closer," Rao warns as I finally reach the room and open the door, seeing it empty.
"Fuck!" I growl slamming the door back closed.
"Where would he be?!" Rao growls and I punch the wall before taking off running back outside.
"I don't know Rao!" I growl loudly quickly shifting, shaking out my white coat of fur.
"Dakota?!" I hear a voice yelling my name and I look around confused.
"Rao do you hear that?" I ask and she chuckles.
"What are you talking about Kota?" Rao asks and my name is called once again. That's when everything disspears around me and I'm staring at William, my hands gripping his shirt tightly.
"William?" I ask confused at to what happened.
"Are you okay? You completely zoned out on me," William admits when I release his shirt out of my grip and tears well up in my eyes.
"I zoned out.." I mumble and William looks at me worriedly.
"Baby are you okay?" William whispers pulling me into his embrace, the tears slowly making their way down my cheeks.
"I'm losing my mind.." I whisper and I hear William whimper.
"No, no you aren't. You're going to be okay, you'll be okay," William reassures me as I wrap my arms around his waist, tightly holding onto him believing he will be taken from me too.
"We need to go running," Rao butts in and I groan not wanting to.
"I'm not going, I can't," I whimper and Rao sighs.
"We can go tomorrow then, after you get some rest. Today has been a hard day," Rao softly says and I nod, feeling Williams grip tighten as he holds me.
"Alpha!" Kane yells as William quickly let's go of me and spins around, seeing Kane running up the stairs.
"Whats wrong?" William asks as I wipe away my tears.
"A fight has broken out," Kane admits and William groans in frustration.
"For gods sake," William sighs, before turning back to me.
"You're leaving..?" I whimper and William frowns slightly.
"I have too baby. Duty calls," William admits after he kisses my forehead, sending shivers down my spine.
"Be safe..," I whisper and he smiles as he takes his leave with Kane. As I make my way to the bedroom my phone rings, so I quickly answer it.
"Hello?" I ask and Fallen's voice sounds throughout the other end of the phone.
"Where hell have you been?!" Fallen yells and I sigh glad to hear my bestfriends voice.
"It's a really long story, I can't really explain it all over the phone," I admit and Fallen groans.
"Then we need to meet in person so you can explain yourself," Fallen chuckles as I sit down on the bed.
"That would be awesome, I need to see you and Zara. I miss both of you so much," I whimper and Fallen laughs loudly.
"We are not that much to be missed!" Fallen announces making me pull the phone away from my ear, and put it on speaker.
"How're you both anyways?" I ask curious of how they both have been while I've been gone.
"Well you know that Owen guy? Zara and him made it official! Plus I've found a guy of my own," Fallen says and I can imagine her smiling.
"So that's where Owen went. No wonder," I groan earning a snicker from Fallen.
Why? Is he needed or some shit?" Fallen blurts out and I sigh.
"He's going to be needed soon. William needs his Beta. He's struggling without Owen," I admit and Fallen sighs on the other end.
"Zara isn't going to be too happy about this news," Fallen admits.
"I know, but she has to understand that's his job," I groan and Fallen groans along with me.
"Shit. I've gotta run but I promise to call you and make plans to meet up! I will also tell Owen and Zara the stuff you told me," Fallen says as I hear her running around.
"Alright that's fine, it was fun talking to you Fallen. I missed you a lot," I whimper softly so she doesn't hear me.
"I missed you too Kota. Now I've gotta run but I'll call soon! I love you," Fallen chuckles as she hangs up the phone, and I hang up mine as well.
"At least she didn't ask about Darian..," Rao whines and I lay back onto the bed, staring up at the ceiling.
"Yeah..I'm glad she didn't. I would've started crying..," I softly mumble when Rao sniffles.
"Why does this type of life suck? All there is, is death. It just surrounds this lifestyle," Rao admits and tears well up into my eyes.
"I know Rao..it does suck," I cry once again.
