I sit on the bed completely zoned out just waiting, waiting for Darian to come back.
"Miss Dakota?" Junior asks pulling me out of my thoughts as I turn and face him.
"Yeah?" I sigh and he whimpers seeing me this way.
"You can go see Darian now," Junior says as I quickly stand and make my way downstairs with him following behind.
"She was so pretty..," Someone whispers before I enter the room. It quickly falls quiet of all the chatter, and everyone's gazes are on me.
"Dakota," William says wrapping his arm around my waist, pulling me close to his side.
"Hi Will," I whisper as we walk up to the closed casket that holds Darians body, while Junior stays at the entrance to the room. Slowly I place my hand onto it and close my eyes. I see Darians smile, I hear her laugh I see her looking at me. She looks at me until a light appears behind her. She quickly smiles before turning away from me, and running into that light. I open my eyes back up and tears are running down my cheeks, my hand still placed on the casket.
"It'll be okay," William softly says rubbing my back slowly.
"She's gone..and I'll never see her again..," I whimper taking my hand off the casket, and tucking it into my jacket pocket.
"I've got you now," William says wiping away my tears before we turn away from her casket and make our way out.
"At least she's sleeping peacefully now," Junior whimpers when Kane approaches us.
"Dakota..," Kane softly says tears welling up in her eyes.
"Don't cry..," I whimper with a slight chuckle as I quickly grab her and pull her in for a tight hug.
"I'm sorry,"Kane sniffles as she holds onto me tightly.
"I'm okay, I promise you," I whisper in her ear rubbing her back before I pull back and smile at her, my eyes swollen from crying.
"I am always here for you Dakota," Kane says softly smiling and I nod.
"We will leave you two alone now," Junior says as he grabs Kane and they walk off, probably to go outside. As me and William head upstairs he briefly stops and I look at him.
"Whats wrong William?" I ask and he sighs before grabbing me, and pulling me in for another hug.
"I'm sorry Dakota..," William whispers and slightly sniffles.
"Are you crying?" I whimper trying to pull away from him to see, but he holds onto me tightly.
"It's okay, I'll protect you," William lowly growls and I whine in frustration of trying to get out of his grip.
"William, please..let go of me," I groan but his grip tightens around me.
"I can't do that. I'm sorry, I'm really sorry," William says as he keeps apologizing, while I'm trying to get out of his tight grip around me.
"Agh! What the hell is going on?!" Rao growls in anger as I whimper.
"I don't know Rao! Please help me," I whimper in pain, Williams grip getting tighter slowly by the minute. In an instant Rao is in control pushing William off of her, and falling to the floor.
"Fuck!" Rao growls and William is growling, his eyes locked right onto us.
"Run! Just run Rao! I don't know what's wrong with him!" I yell as Rao quickly jumps up and takes off running.
"Is he chasing?" Rao asks and yes, of course he's chasing.
"There's no way out, unless you jump out of the window," I admit not excited about this at all.
"Adventure, I'm all for it!" Rao announces laughing, as she changes form quickly. Four paws pounding against the hardwood floor.
"Now, let's get out of here, but first we need to find Nathanial," I say and Rao happily agrees.
"Sounds good!" Rao says as she runs faster to gain more speed, as she lunges through the window, shattering all the glass and landing outside on the soft green grass.
"He should be in the infirmary so we need to go there first," I sigh as Rao changes direction and takes off running towards the infirmary.
"It'll all be okay Kota," Rao says slightly comforting me. Knowing my sister is gone, something is wrong with William, and Alpha Uklan has still gotten away with my Father's murder. I will get revenge, even if it means I have to gather my own pack. I will do it.
