James POV

I can't believe I rejected her. It been 2 months and I'm slowly dying without her. She still hasn't mumbled a word, unless you count crying. She gets hit by the girls in the pack because they heard about us being mates and they didn't like it. I feel horrible. I think I'm going to take back the rejection.

That's the first good idea you've ever had. My wolf growled at me. He hasn't talked a lot since the thing.

"Beta Mike, where is Dekota?" I asked Mike who was eating lunch with his mate Candy her really name is Candice but we call her Candy.

"They went out on there weekly run. You know she has only shifted 2 since the day I bought her." Mike said with his mouth full. He knew how I was feeling, he was my best friend how could he not.

"Send her to my room when she comes back."

"Ok." He said and went back to eating. So I went up stairs into my office and started on paperwork. About 2 hours later she came knocking on my door quietly.

"Come in." I said getting happy knowing she will be mine. She walked in and kept her eyes on the floor, she never looks anyone in the eyes, and I mean never not even Liz. "Um I don't know how to say this so I'll just say it. I, James L Mark, accept you Dekota to be my Luna and mate." I did it, she didn't even flinch though. She just nodded her head then left. How dare she disrespect me. I stormed out of the office to find Liz watching her walk out the door. "Where is she going?" I demanded.

"To the barn Alpha, the one in the forest, she always goes there but she is the only one small enough to fit through the hole." She rushed out like she had been dying to tell me. There was a barn that no one could get into do it was left vacant on the corner of our territory. She must be small enough to fit through that little hole in the fence. I know what your thinking why no tear it down, well this elder asked for it to rot away and not to be touch for it had a purpose, so no one ever touched it. So what was she doing there. I realized I was lost in thought and Liz had walked away. I ran outside and shifted; I started to follow her sent.

Dekota's POV

After he said that I knew I needed to talk with Rain, she's a female horse that carrying a foal. I named her that because she is a black and white Appaloosa Paint mix, with blue eyes. I found her when on my first weekly run so when ever I get stressed, I come to see her, and the last few nights I've been sleeping here. I got in through a little hole in the fence and I climbed through and it was like I was transferred into a different world, all the weight on my shoulders was lifted and I could hear the waterfall. It was so pretty but you couldn't see the pasture with the cave and waterfall unless you came through the fence, it was weird. I clicked my tongue, and Rain came waddling up through the tall grass, she sleeps in the cave behind the waterfall, because the barn is falling apart. I only talk to her, it's not like she'll tell anyone.

"Hi, baby! How are you?" I know it weird to talk to her but she responds like she can hear me. She pawed at the ground and she bent down so I could climb on her back. Once I was on her she started to canter. "You know, I was fine living out my days with you but he had to go and accept me!? Now I don't know what to do. My wolf hasn't talked to me since the rejection, I need to help you with your baby, and I need to keep my Omega work up. If only they hadn't taken me and I wasn't broken...." I trailed off and she turned her head and gave my one leg a hug. "I love you too. Now let's get some sleep I have to be up early tomorrow." She nodded her head like she was saying yes, and she walked back to the cave she laid down and I rested my head on her neck and that's how we feel asleep. All snuggled up so nothing can hurt us. Those nights, when I slept with her I felt safe, I haven't felt that since 9 years ago when I was at home with my mom and dad.
