Radiance Collins' POV
"There. That's how you set an alarm on your phone." Sarah taught. Wow, they're smart. No wonder they're called smartphones.
Did you get my pun? Okay I'm sure my puns are starting to get annoying now.
I asked Sarah, "How am I going to get there?"
"I can show you the route to the school. It's pretty close to the pack house- I mean, the neighboring house." She answered my questions.
I nodded. "Goodnight Sarah." What pack house?
"Goodnight, darling." She replied back, walking out of my room door and making sure to close it.
'Big' day tomorrow.

"Get the f*ck up! Get the f*ck up!" I groaned, hitting my phone trying to stop it.
"Get the f*ck up! Get the f*ck up!" Frustrated, I got up, glaring at the smart device.
"I got the f*ck up, now shut the f*ck up!" I shouted at the phone.
"Get the f*ck up! Get the f*ck up!" Why did I even choose this as my ring tone?
I swear if this ringtone doesn't shut up I'm throwing it across the room.
Oh. Right. I clicked the snooze button, slightly relieved that the phone had shut the f*cked up.
I got to change the ring tone soon.
I took a quick shower after doing my morning necessities. I heard that it gets pretty cold in California, so I made sure to wear jeans and a normal white tee.
"Ready to go?" I nodded, making sure to grab my bag and phone.

Feeling at least a hundred eyes on you isn't a wonderful feeling, or a great way to start afresh. I feel like I was being eye-raped, judged, and even a confused look. I mean, doesn't transfer of students usually happen, especially in movies? I honestly felt sort of out of place.
"Chins up." I felt myself muttering. "Don't let history repeat itself again." Pushing the door open, with my head held up high, I asked,
"Can I have my timetable? I'm new. Radiance Collins."

Okay. I have AP math now. Honestly, who ever puts math early in the morning? Sighing, I walked around trying to find room 333.
"There it is!" I heaved a sigh of relief. The warning bell had rung five minutes ago, and I was late.
I walked closer to the door, dreading to get in.
Just as I was about to open the door, the door itself flung open, causing me to almost fall onto that rude bastard who made me fall flat onto the floor.
It was just like the old days again. I gazed at the floor, not wanting to look up.
"Watch where you're going, bitch." I kept my gaze on the floor, and nodded. Butterflies came alive in my stomach, and my palms were starting to sweat. His voice was husky, causing nerves on my body to come to life.
Still feeling his burning gaze on me, I got up and muttered a quick 'sorry', then walked past him and entered the classroom, not wanting to make eye contact with the guy I encountered.
He's a rude bastard, but how am I feeling like this? I have never felt this way before.
Shrugging the feeling off, I sneaked into the classroom, hoping I didn't wake the teacher that was sleeping in front.

One thing I've learnt: AP math was a waste of time. At least we're doing something productive in Bio, though it's just listening to the teacher blabber on and on.
I'm pretty sure Sarah paid this school to get me educated.
The bell finally rang, signalling that it was time for Lunch. Packing my stuff and putting them into my bag, I slung it over my right shoulder, making sure I took everything with me before leaving.
Food, here I come.

"Look. We started on the wrong page, and I'm sorry." I tore my eyes away from my chicken pasta and stared at the guy I almost fell on.
I wish words could describe how hot he actually is. Broad shoulders, mesmerizing forest green eyes, chiseled jaw. He is practically a walking Greek God.
I was captivated by how good looking someone can look. It was as if time stood still when my eyes met his. I was lost in his eyes.
Never had I thought I'd feel such feelings since...
Bile rose up my throat and I forced it down. No. He was the one who left. The one who broke the promise. The one who never loved me.
"Mate." He whispered and I barely caught onto that. Is he Aussie?
I blinked, feeling the spell broken. Shrugging, I gave my attention back to my chicken pasta.
"I'm Bentley." He is definitely not an Aussie. He had a Spain accent, which caused my desire for him to grow.
"Radiance."
"Want to sit with me? You wouldn't look so alone then." I shrugged, not really caring. I just want to get through Senior year without any sort of drama, hopefully.
What can I say? Drama loves finding its way to me.
"Did you dye your hair?"
"No."
"How old are you?"
"17."
"How short are you?"
"Shorter than you." I froze, realizing I had just admitted being short.
He looked at me, then burst into laughter. His laugh sounded like music to my ears, strangely. I've never felt like this before. Not even with Tyler.
I took in a deep breath. New town, new me. Leaving my old town meant leaving the past. It means letting go of the memories Tyler created.
Those memories were the only thing holding me on.
Eventually I laughed along with him, trying to lighten myself up.
You are going to forget about your past, Radiance. Maybe you can change your name, hair color, wear contacts.
You are going to let go of those horrible memories and create new ones.
