Ash's POV

"I have put up with your bull shit long enough! What happened!?" My mom yelled at me.

"I-uh I can e-explain." I stuttered.

"Explain how you were kissing other girls after you found your mate!" She looked at Avy. "This is her isn't it?"

I nodded.

She sighed and took her from my arms. I instantly missed her warmth. She placed her on the couch.

"Mom I know what I did was wrong but I can't help myself. I don't have self control. And Avy doesn't like me! So I thought those girls would serve as a substitute."

"Ash you should have befriended her first instead of flirting with her. Control that damn boner of yours!"

I stayed silent.

Melissa appeared in the door way along with Oliver, Lola, Josh and the dogs.

"You snitched!?" I yelled at Melissa.

She held her hands up in surrender. "I told you I was."

All their heads snapped in Avy's direction.

"What happened!?" Melissa yelled.

"S-she saw me shift, she ran off, I-I ran after her b-but then she fell then s-she fainted!" I stumbled over my words.

"Her wrist and ankle are swollen." My mom examined her. "Melissa go get two ice packs, Oliver get the first aid kit, Josh go get a damp towel, Lola go see what time your Uncle Blake is coming home."

They all nodded and left the living room.

My mom stood in front of me with her arms crossed. I smiled nervously at her.

"Give me your phone." She demanded.

"What?"

"Give me your phone you're grounded!"

I stared at her in shock. "Mom! You can't just-"

"Now!" She shouted as her voice echoing off the walls.

I shook my head. "No."

The dog stood in front of her and growled loudly at me.

"Nix, Junior. Come on you got to take my side." I pleaded.

Their growled just got louder.

I sighed and handed my mom my phone.

I got a back up anyway.

"Back up?" She demanded.

I eye brows creased.

"You said that out loud."

I sighed and rolled my eyes then I handed her my phone.

"Go to your room."

"What!? Mom my mate is here. I have to be with her!"

Everyone came back into the room with the stuff my mom asked for.

She took the rag and placed it on Avy's forehead then she placed the ice pack on her wrist and ankle.

"She'll most likely be asleep until morning. Go to your room Asher."

She used my full name. She never uses my full name.

I sighed and dragged myself to my room.

I plopped down onto the bed and berried my head in the pillow.

I'm such an ass.

I messed up big time and I'm hurting Avy.

'James? You mad?' I asked.

'I'm not mad. I'm disappointed that the human in me can't understand a damn thing!'

I said nothing.

'As soon as I here she's awake I'm taking control. By force or not.' He growled before blocking me out.

I'm in deep shit.

My eye lids started to feel like sand bags.

Really!? How can I sleep knowing my mate is about to know everything about the werewolf world.

I tried to stay awake but my eyes kept fighting back.

It wasn't long before my eyes were fully shut.

The only thing on my mind was Avy.

Avery's POV

All I saw was black.

I tried opening my eyes but my body refused. It felt like my eyes were glued shut.

I stirred around a little but that took most of my energy.

I kept trying to open my eyes until I finally got them open. I quickly shut them again due to the light.

I opened them again and an older woman was looking at me. She look familiar but unfamiliar at the same time.

"Who are you?" I asked while sitting myself up.

I looked around I was in an unfamiliar room.

"Where am I?" I asked. I nearly panicked.

"Calm down sweetie." The woman laid me back down on the bed.

"Who are you?" I asked again.

"I am Ash's mom but you can call me Artemis." She smiled.

"Ash's mom? Ash? Ash! I saw him! H-he was a-!"

"Calm down." 

I slowed my breathing a bit.

"You're going to think I'm crazy, I hi K I'm crazy, but I think I saw Ash turn into... a wolf?" I told her.

She chuckled. "You're not crazy. He did."

My eyebrows creased as I processed what she said.

"H-he... turned...into... a wolf!?" I panicked.

"Calm down Avery! Everything is going to be OK!" She shook me.

"How do you know my name?" I asked slightly more calmly.

"Melissa told me."

"Melissa? D-does she know about Ash?"

"We all know."

I ran my hands over my face out of stress.

"What is he?" I asked hesitantly.

"It's a good thing your laying down." She muttered to herself. "He's a werewolf."

I removed my hands from my face and stared at her in shock.

"No. That can't be. They don't exist."

The door opened revealing Melissa and Lola.

"Guys werewolves don't exist. Right?" I asked.

They glanced at each other.

"They do exist." Lola answered. "We're werewolves too."

I started at them in horror. "No you're lying."

"We're not lying Avery. We're not monsters either." Melissa spoke.

"You're lying." I said again.

"We are not." Lola stepped in.

"Prove it." I challenge.

"If we do you're going to faint."  Melissa pointed out.

"Then I don't believe you." I crossed my arms over my chest.

The door bursted open revealing Ash.

Only it wasn't Ash. His eyes were pitch black and he was growling lowly.

He locked eyes with me.

"Mine!" He growled and ran over to me.

I yelped when he picked me up. He ran out of the room and took me into another one.

His scent lingered around me. He closed the door and locked it. He threw me onto the bed and hovered above me and pinned my hands above my head.

"Ash? Let me go." I struggled under his grip but it only tightened.

"I'm not Ash, Avy." His voice was low.

"W-what?" I stuttered.

"Shh, don't be afraid." One of his hands cupped my cheek as the other kept my hands pinned down. "I won't hurt you."

"If your not Ash then who are you?" My voice was slightly shaky out of fear.

"I'm James. His wolf half. My mom told you about us? Werewolves?"

I stared at him for a second but nodded my head.

"I'm his wolf." He said before slamming his lips onto mine.
