Ash's POV

Beep. Beep. Beep.

I groaned and shut off the annoying ass alarm clock.

'Rise and shine Sleep in Beauty!' My wolf, James yelled.

'Do you mind not yelling in the morning?' I scowled.

'Nope!' He popped the P. 'I don't mide at all.'

'Why are you always like this?' I ask.

'I don't know. Why are you always hooking up with Mandy!?' He growled. 'We are supposed to be saving ourselves so our mate!'

'You know I get frustrated!' I yelled back. 'Besides when she sees us she'll come running into our arms, begging to be with us.'

'I have a feeling karma is going to bite in the ass.' He grumbled before blocking me out.

What's got his fur in a bunch?

I got up from the bed and did my morning routine.

I got dressed in jeans and a black shirt.

I went downstairs when the smell of bacon hit my nose.

"Bacon!" I cheered.

I went to grab a piece but my hand was hit with a hot spatula.

"Ow! Mom!" I whined.

My mom is the only person that scares me.

"You're in trouble Ash. No bacon." She said firmly.

"But why?" I whined.

"Your little human friend Mandy was back again!" She growled.

I jumped back in fright. "She was picking up some homework."

"Was it homework on S*x Ed?" She narrowed her eyes.

My eyes widened. "Mom!"

She was about to respond but my dad came in and hugged her from behind.

"What's wrong Artemis?" He asked before kissing her cheek.

She turned to him with an angry expression as heir eyes changed color.

"Are you guys mind linking!?" I asked in disbelief.

They ignored me.

"Ash no bacon." My dad said.

My jaw dropped. "Come on dad! You got to side with me on this one."

"Sorry bud. Your moms the boss." He grabbed an apple and took a bite out of it and left the kitchen.

I puted and took a seat and took an apple. Stupid health food.

The pitter patter of paws came into the kitchen.

Midnight Jr. and Nix were sitting in front of me waiting for their cut of my bacon.

"Sorry guys no bacon." I apologized.

They let out a whine as their ears dropped.

"They can have bacon, you can't." My mom tossed them each a piece of bacon.

They chewed it happily and gave me a canine like smirk.

Midnight Jr. started to lick up her mess of bacon on the floor.

I smirk grew on my face as I did the one thing my mom hates the most.

"Good girl Midnight."

She looked up at me and tilted her head.

My mom dropped her spatula and glared at me. "Her name is not Midnight. It's Junior."

"Come on mom. We named her Midnight junior for a reason." I smirked.

"Go to school." Her voice cracked as my smirk grew.

That will teach her not to take away my bacon.

I grabbed my bag and headed out the door.

In case your confused, my mom's dog Midnight died of a rogue attack when she went for a walk with my great grandparents, two years ago. My great grandparents also died during the attack.

All of Midnight's other pups either died or were sold to other people in the pack.

Junior is the only one with us and Nix is her pup.

Now everytime someone mentions Midnight, she's reminded of that day.

Making it her one weakness to my advantage.

I hopped into my truck and drove off to school.

As soon as I arrived people were whisper in about some new girl.

Apparently her name is Avery.

'She sounds nice.' James swooned while smiling. His voice sounded like he was distracted.

'Why are you swooning?' I asked.

'I have no idea.' His voice sounded the same.

I ignored him and kept walking until some nerd stepped in front of me.

He has blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and thick glasses. He was an omega from another pack.

"What do you want?" I spat.

"You flirted with my sister." He said with utter disgust.

I rolled my eyes. man this dude has issues.

"So what?"

"What do you mean so what!? My sister has  a mate! Once you meet yours she's going too reject you!" He growled.

he didn't care that I was an alpha. I don't care but when it comes to my mate I get angry!

I looked around and the halls were empty. I grabbed his collar and slammed him into the lockers.

I punched the locker, right next to his head.

"Dont talk about my mate like that!" I growled. "Just because Ihavent met her and Ive flirted with a few girls doesnt mean she wont fall right into my arms. Understand!?"

He nodded slowly. I let him go as he scurried off.

As soon as he was out of sight I punched the locker and gave it a dent.

Great now im frustrated.

I pulled out my phone and texted Mandy to meet me here.

She'll distract me for a few hours.

'What is wrong with you!' James growled. 'This is not how an Alpha acts!'

'Fuck off!'

I ignored him and waited pationtilly for Mandy to come.

Out of no where a sweet scent of vinillia and pine hit my nose. I inhaled deeply, enjoying the scent.

'Mate, mate, mate!' James yelled in my head.

I looked around for her until my eyes landed on a beautiful girl.

she had dirty blonde hair that was shoulder length, and blue eyes that seemed to shimmer in the light.

She looked lost.

'Do not mess this up Ash! Or I will take over! She's human!" James threatened.

'Dont worry. I'll just give her a pick up line and she'll fall for me.' I smirked.

He rolled his eyes before focusing back on our mate.

"Hey baby, my house is the other way." I winked.

She rolled her eyes. "Im not going to 'Not going to happenville."'

I frowned out of suprise.

No girl has ever talked to me like that before.

"What's the matter? Never been rejected before?" She smirked.

Oddly enough I haven't. She's the first girl to ever reject me.

James was laughing in my head. 'Burn!' 

I ignored him and turned back to my mate.

I heard the sound of heels clicking on the floor.

Mandy was coming this way as my mate walked off.

Mandy gave my mate a confused and disgusted look before turning to me and smiling.

Mate walked off rolling her eyes until she was out of sight.

"Hey Ash, I got your text." She smiled while twriling a piece of her hair. "Need me to come over again?"

"Um, no. Nevermind."

"No?" She gave me a confused look.

"Yeah, I don't  need you to come over again. Or ever."

"Why not!" She whined.

I rolled my eyes. Dumb human.

"Becuase. Now leave me alone."

I walked away leaving her dumbfolded.

Guess she's never been rejected either.
