Avery's POV

I groaned as I opened my eyes and a bright light stung me.

"Avy. You're a awake." I heard a familiar voice.

I tried opening my eyes once more and saw Ash looking at me with worry.

I looked around and saw that I was in a hospital bed.

"What happened?" I asked.

"I don't know you fainted after the fight." He answered.

"What about Logan?"

"He's dead."

I felt relived but a small part of me was sad that the person who raised me was dead.

Why was I feeling sad? He hurt me.

I knock at the door interrupted my train of thought.

"Come in." Ash called out to the person.

"Hello, Luna, Alpha." A doctor walked in.

"Can you explain why I fainted?" I got straight to the point.

"I might have a theory." The doctor smiled at both of us.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked.

The doctor pulled out a machine and turned on the tv.

He lifted up my shirt exposing my stomach and placed gel on it.

"Get that off me. It's cold." I complained.

"Sorry Luna, but please pay attention to the screen." The doctor said.

I rolled my eyes and turned my attention to the screen.

It was a scan.

And there was a small little figure. A baby.

"I'm pregnant!" I shrieked.

I heard a loud thud. I looked over and saw that Ash had passed out.

I grabbed a cup of water from the side table and splashed it on his face.

He shot up from the ground and looked at me.

"Come on Avy. Let's go home. We'll  talk there." He said.

I nodded. "Ok."

I wipped the gel off my stomach before we left the pack hospital.

I felt a bunch of different scinieros go through my head.

What if Ash only wants to talk because he doesn't want the baby?

What if the pack doesn't accept the child?

What will Ash's family think?

Will they accept it?

Will Ash want me out of the pack?

I can't raise a child on my own.

"Avy. We're here." Ask spoke.

I stepped out of the car. Me and Ash walked inside silently.

As soon as we were in the room I felt a pair of lips on mine.

Ash pulled away before I could respond.

"Y-you're not upset?" I stuttered.

"How can I be!?" He grinned. "You're giving me a child."

I smiled as he placed his lips into mine again.

The sound if the doorbell ringing interrupted us.

Ash growled. "Of course someone had to come now."

I laughed at him. "I'll go see who it is."

I walked downstairs and opened the door.

To my surprise it was Brittney(the girl Ash saved from getting raped in the beginning if the book)

"Oh, Avery." She sounded suprised. "What are you doing here?"

"Well it's a long story." I chuckled. "But long story short I live here now."

"Why?" She asked.

"I was getting abused by my foster father but he's gone now."

"I'm sorry that happened to you Avery."

"Its fine." I waved her off. "Anyway what are you doing here?"

"I was wondering if I could talk to Ash."

"For what?" I asked confused.

"Can I tell you out here?"

"Sure." I stepped outside and closed the door.

"Ok the truth is, I like Ash." She bit her lip.

I was caught off gaurd and a pang if jealousy hit me.

"What?" I asked.

"I know I don't know him that well but he saves me from getting raped. He must have done it for some reason." She grinned.

"Well, Brittney the thing is--"

"I know I know. He's a player but I think I can change him."

"Brittney--"

"Sure it can be hard but I think I can do it."

"Brittney--"

"I know it's hard for people to change but I think if Ash would just give me a chance then--"

"Brittney!" I shouted.

She looked at me confused. "What?"

"I'm pregnant." I said.

"What!? But your 18--"

"That's another thing. I lied about my age so I could go to a real school for once. I'm 23."

"But I still don't see what this has to do with Ash."

"I-It's Ash's baby."

"What? That can't be true. Just a few weeks ago Mandy told me she was pregnant with his baby."

"She lied. I just found out today about the pregnancy ." I placed a hand on my stomach.

She looked down at the ground. "Oh."

"I'm really sorry Brittney. I didn't know you liked Ash."

"No it's fine. He clearly liked you. He gave you a nickname and he barley acknowledged me when I told him my name."

"I'm sorry Brittney."

"It's fine. I'll be fine." She faked smiled. "I'll just go."

She was about to leave until someone opened the door.

It was Josh. He stared at Brittney with lust filled eyes.

"Mine!" He growled.

"What!?" She yelled.

I felt a smirk appear on my lips.

"What are you smirking about?" Brittney asked.

"You'll see." I said before going inside and leaving the two mates alone.

Ash come down the stairs and looked confused when he saw the smile on my face.

"Who was at the door?" He asked.

"Brittney." I answered.

"The girl from school?"

"Yep. By the way Josh found his mate." I said casually.

"They're mates!?" He asked suprised.

"Am I whispering? Yes I just said that."

"Alright but why was she here in the first place?"

I got my lip. "She came to see you."

"Why me?"

"She kinda... sorta... has a crush on you." I looked down at the ground.

Ash bursted out laughing.

"It's not funny." I punched his shoulder.

"You're jealous." He pointed out

"No I'm not." I scoffed.

"Yes you are. It's cute."

"I am not jealous."

"It's ok if you are, Avy. She has her own mate now. And I'm all yours." He smirked while wrapping his arms around me.

I blushed at his words and looked away.

He kissed my cheek, then my forehead, then my nose, until finally placing a kiss on my lips.

"You don't have to worry. He mumbled against my lips. "I love you."

"I love you too."

He kissed my lips again before picking me up bridal styled.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

He smirked. "I'm going to show you how much I love you."

He began walking up the stairs.

Once he reached our room he threw me on the bed and closed the door and locked it.

"I love you so much." He hovered above me.
