Avery's POV

"Are you ok, Avy?" Ash grabbed onto my waist.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I nodded.

There was a brick in the middle of the kitchen floor. There was a note attached to it.

I was about to walk towards it but Ash stopped be.

"No stop. There's broken glass everywhere. I'll get it." He spoke.

He slowly walked towards it and picked up the brick.

He untied the note from the brick and read it out loud.

"So she finally told you. I have to admit I should she would cry more. Be prepared for what comes next. Say hello to Artemis and Avery for me."

Ash and black both growled. Ash crumpled up the piece of paper and threw it on the ground.

Before any of us could say anything two guards came in who were struggling keeping an unknown guy under their grip

"Alpha, Luna, we found his rogue not far from here. He threw a brick through the window." One guard spoke.

"I told you I didn't do it!" I'm guessing the rogue argued.

"Yeah right." The other guard scoffed.

All of a sudden a blonde wolf came bursting through the door.

It looked so familiar.

"Melissa!" Ash addressed the wolf.

That's Melissa!?

"Mine!" The growled while staring at Melissa's wolf.

Melissa's widened when her eyes landed on the rogue.

They're mates!

Melissa's wolf ran upstairs and soon Melissa emerged in human with clothes.

"What should we do with him boss?" One of the guards asked Melissa.

Melissa stared at the rogue for a moment before answering. "Take him to the cells."

Her voice was laced with hurt but she masked it. But no could tell she was heart broke  to see him being dragged to the basement.

I grabbed Melissa's wrist and headed towards the front door of he house.

'Where are you going!?' Ash asked in my head.

'We are just going for a walk.' I replied.

'No! Not unless you have guards!'

'Ash you saw what happened. Melissa found her mage and he's a rogue! She needs a good girl talk.'

'Stay in front of the pack house. Where I can see you.' He commanded.

'OK.'

I dragged Melissa onto the front porch. Maybe I can convince her to giver her mate a chance.

"Why did you drag me out here? It's cold." She complained while wrapping her arms around herself.

"You know why. You just saw your mate!"

"It doesn't matter." She looked down at the ground.

"Of course it does. Why did you send  him to the cells?"

"Because I have a duty to protect my pack. I only know how to put this pack above everything else. It's all I know how to do." She spoke truthfully.

"You can learn. Learn how to love your mate and care for him."

"You heard the guards he's working for Logan. I heard him when I was coming back. I can't trust him."

"At least let him explain himself first."

She shrugged. "I can't promise anything. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a rogue to interrogate."

Win that she went back inside.

Looks like I couldn't convince her.

Melissa's POV

I made my way into the basement.

'Why can't we just accept him as our mate. I need him.' My wolf, Raine growled.

'He's a rogue Raine! We made a vow to our pack!' I yelled.

'I don't care!' She growled before blocking me out.

I rolled my eyes at her stubbornness and entered the interrogation room.

I sweet scent hit my nose as a rogue with brown hair and gray eyes stared at me with a smile while I remained emotionless.

He was sitting in an uncomfortable chair and his wrist were cuffed in silver and were rested on a small table in front of him.

"You two." I pointed to the guards next to our mate then pointed to the door. "Leave."

"With all due respect--" one of the guards spoke but I cut him off.

"I said leave! I need answers from him and I can't do it with you two dickless losers here!" I growled.

Their eyes widened in fear before exiting the room.

"Damn." The rogue said in Aw with a smile. "Who knew I had such a bad ass mate."

"Who are you?" I said emotionless.

"Shouldn't I be asking you that?"

"Who are you?" I asked again losing my patience.

"My name if Toby Anderson but you can call me yours." He winked.

I rolled my eyes. "That is the worse pick up line I have ever heard."

'Don't be so harsh. It was kinda cute.' Raine popped up in my head.

I ignored her and turned back to the rogue.

"Why are you here?" I asked.

He looked regretful. "I... can't tell you."

"Why not?"

"I can't tell you that either."

I slammed my fist on to the table in front of me. "You can! And you will!"

"I can't!" He yelled.

I grabbed him by the collar of his short and slammed him into the wall.

"You don't have a choice. My pack could be in danger because you threw that brick with that note!"

He inched our faces closer until our noses were almost touching.

"I can't." His voice cracked.

I threw him back into the chair.

"I don't even know if I can trust you." He spoke.

My wolf whimpered at his words.

I left the room and closed the door and turned the guards by the door.

"Make sure he doesn't escape."

I went for a short walk around the pack house and came back.

Toby's head was resting on the table along with his hand cuffed hands the were now bruised and bleeding.

His eyes were closed also.

"Toby?" I called him out but got no response.

Guess he's asleep.

'Uncuff him.' Raine spoke.

I pulled out a key from my back pocket and put on some gloves.

I unlocked his hand cuffs and held them in my hands.

He's cute when he's sleeping.

"Thank you." His head shot up from the table and he smirked.

Did I say that out loud?

"Yes you did." Toby answered.

I tried to hide the blush creeping up on my cheeks.

"Thanks for taking off the hand cuffs off. They were starting to hurt." He rubbed his wrist as he was slowly healing.

I nodded. "You're welcome."

"Logan has my sister." He spoke suddenly.

"What?" I asked.

"Logan is treating to kill my twin if I don't do what he says. That's why I threw that brick with his note."

I walked up next to him and crouched down to his level.

"We will free her." I promised.

He pulled me into a hug and nuzzled his face into my neck.

I need to talk to Avery again.

Some times I wonder if I will be able to update on time.

Oh well guess I'll never know.
