Avery's POV

All I felt was sparks and electricity erupt throughout my body as my heartbeat quickened.

For some odd reason I was kissing back. I tried to stop myself but I couldn't.

Ash's lips were locked onto mine like they were glued together.

He moved his lips slowly and passionate but it was still hard and wanting.

I had no control over what my body was doing.

My fingers were entangled in his hair. I tugged on his hair making him groan. He licked my bottom lip before shoving his tongue in my mouth.

His warm hands went under my shirt and place on my bare waist.

He finally pulled away for air but quickly placed kisses up and down my jaw line and neck.

I finally snapped out of it.

What am I doing!?

I barley know the guy!?

I'm kissing a guy I barley know and always makes me cry!

"S-stop." Why did I have to stutter!?

He stopped kissing my neck and looked at me. His eyes were still pitch black.

It was scary.

"Why?" He ask confused.

"Because I barley know you! You always make me cry and I've known you for two days!" My voice raised a little bit.

My eyes widened when I realized what he told me before he kissed me.

"Y-you're a w-werewolf!" I yelled before backing away from him until my back hit the headboard the bed.

He looked at me with complete and utter heartbreak.

This is Ash. Ash wouldn't let his sensitive side show.

"Y-you're not Ash." I stuttered.

"I'm not going to hurt you Avy. Please believe me." He pleaded.

I said nothing only stared at him in horror.

"Ash is an ass. I know that. I kept trying to tell him not to kiss hose girls but just he doesn't listen! I'm sorry he made you cry. But I am nothing like him. Please believe me."

His voice getting shaky. Like he was going to cry.

"Let me talk to Ash." I said quietly.

He looked at me confused. "Why."

"I want to know if he is still there and if he can provide an explanation for everything that is going on."

I stared at me for a second before nodding.

He shut his eyes by the time they reopened they were back to their normal colors.

He stared at me and says nothing.

"Avy I'm so sorry." He finally spoke up and pulled me into a hug.

He nuzzled his face into my neck and inhaled deeply.

"I know your confused right now and your going to hate me after I explain everything to you but I don't want you to leave me." He mumbled into my neck.

I pushed him away to look at him. "What do you mean I'll hate you?"

He looked down at his lap then back at me.

"Do you believe in soul mates?" He asked.

I looked at him confused. "Should I?"

He nodded. "They're real Avy. When werewolves turn 18 they are able to sniff out their mate. A special scent that you can't smell on any one else."

"And everytime they touch." He grabbed my hand and entangled our fingers. I instantly felt sparks rush up my arm.

"They feel electricity, sparks, tingles or all of the above. Like nothing you've ever felt before." He smiled at our hands.

It wasn't his usual smirk. It was an actual smile.

"Wow." I muttered to myself.

He looked at me confused. "What?"

"You've never smiled before. I didn't think you actually had the ability to smile." I joked.

He chuckled and smiled again before it faded he glance down at our hands.

"I still don't get it." I wondered.

"What?" He asked looking at me.

"Why would I be mad at you."

I sighed and looked in my eyes. "You're my mate. And I knew it the second I saw you in that hallway but I still made out win other girls and didn't even acknowledge your feelings."

I looked at him in shock.

"And you had to find out by seeing me shift not by me telling you. And you got hurt because of me."

Got hurt?

I glanced down and noticed my wrist and ankle were swollen and we're wrapped in bandages.

Stupid collapsed tree.

I focused my attention back to Ash.

He was right. He did make out with other girls and I did hurt my feelings.

I want to be mad or upset but something wants me to forgive him. Why?

"I'm guessing you want to be mad but something wants you to forgive me?" Ash said like he was reading my mind.

I slowly nodded.

"It's call the mate bond. It makes you want to be with your mate for as long as you can and it make sure that you don't stay mad at each other for something for too long."

I didn't say anything.

"Go ahead." He urged on like he was waiting for me to say something.

"What?" I whispered.

"Reject me." He forced out.

"Why would I do that?"

"Because you hate me. I know you do and as soon as you say the words...!" He trailed off. "The bond will be broken for good and you won't have to deal with me again."

"But... won't your wolf... I don't know....die?" I asked.

He slowly nodded and looked away from me. "He'll die of heartbreak but at least you don't have to worry about me being unfaithful to you. Go ahead say the words."

I stared at him in shock.

Rejection?

He really thought I hated him that much!?

To say the words and let him lose two pieces of his life!?

His wolf and his mate!?

I grabbed his face with both my hands and stared at him straight in the eyes.

He shut his eyes tightly and waited for the words to come out of my mouth.

"No." I spoke.

He reopened his eyes.

"I will not reject you."

He searched my eyes for any sign of lying.

"You are a pain but you don't deserve that." I said truthfully.

He removed my hands from his face. "I don't deserve you."

I grabbed his face again. "It doesn't matter. If you want me as your mate then I'll be your mate."

He pulled me into a hug and held me tightly.

He pulled away after a while. "Why don't you hate me?"

"I couldn't hate you. I thought I did but it was just disappointment. But I'm over it."

He hugged me again.

We just sat there until I spoke up.

"Can I see you as a wolf?"
