Chapter 27

Carrie's Grand Finale, Well, Sort of...

"Are you sure about this Tee?" River asked me, still unsure about my plan. I rolled my eyes at him. "Dude, come on! We have so done worse." I pointed out. He nodded, but I saw him hesitate. 

"True... " He sighed. I grinned at him and started climbing the tree. Wondering what we are doing? I suppose I should get you guys caught up if this is going to be fun and enjoyable. Well after my 'tutoring' session with Luke and the Alex thing yesterday, I had done some hard thinking about things..again. I decided that, if Lucas was too stupid to see the real Carrie, he wasn't ever going to leave her. I know it sounds evil and something a stalker would do, but it wasn't fair that she had a mate and is trying to keep mine for her own selfish ways. So I devised a plan to ruin Alex and Carrie, together. 

"This is wrong on so many levels." River muttered.  

"Agreed." I said nodding. River sighed. We continued climbing the big Oak tree until we were able to see through the his bedroom window. We found a semi-comfortable spot and waited. I had everything set up.

"What do we do now?" River asked me, taking out some licorice. He offered some to me and I took a piece. 

"Well, I gave him back his phone and said that I was sorry yesterday and tried to make it convincing. He believed me, of course. Right after I left, I heard him tell Carrie to meet him in his room for...you know..and she agreed. So now we just wait until they come. But we will leave when they are getting too sexed up. Ok?" I explained to him. River thought about it for a second then grinned. 

"Got it." I smiled at him and continued eating my licorice. While we waited, I started to set up my camera. Even saying this makes it sound so wrong and weird and peeping tom-ish.

I was almost asleep when I heard a door open and a bunch of laughing. That woke me up instantly and I woke up River by slapping him. It was dark but I could see his face still clearly.

"Uh! W-What?" He said, startled. I clamped my hand over his mouth and signaled for him to shut up. He gave me a confused look, so I pointed to Alex's window. He nodded in understanding. 

I turned back to the window to see them starting to get it on. 

Time to take some pictures.

The next morning was pretty hard since River and I stayed up to get down the tree quietly and get everything ready for the next morning. I feel some what ashamed of what I'm going to do but it's not like what I'm doing is embarrassing. All I'm going to do is put some pictures up around the school of them kissing on his bed. Fully clothed, of course.

River copied a school key so we could get in at 5am in the morning. So we got up early and went to school to put them up. Then we went back home and fell asleep. 

Boring, I know, but it must be done for the real revenge to happen. It's not my best, but there really is no way to make this entertaining too much. This is not justice, I'll admit. It's revenge and sometimes it's not going to be entertaining.

The morning of, I got ready in a hurry to see everyone's reactions. I said my goodbye to my mom and told the boys to hurry up because they are going to be late. Then I hopped on my motorbike and rode off. It was 7:46 when I got to school and everyone was talking about it. School starts at 8:00 so Luke, nor Carrie gets here before then. 

"Oh my god! Carrie is such a slut!" I heard a girl say, ripping the flying off the wall. I saw her friends nod and mumble in agreement. I couldn't help but paint a grin on my face. Looks like the queen is going to have a mob on her hands.

As I was passing another group of people, I heard a few more opinions.

"Why would she do that to Luke?" I heard someone ask. A weird feeling started bubbling in my stomach.

"Does he know?" Another asked. The bubbling got bigger.

"Wow, this must be a crappy way to find out his girlfriend was cheating." I heard a guy comment. The weird feeling was getting worse. Oh no..

That when I heard a loud, squeaky voice yell across the hallway, 

"Who the hell did this?!"

Huh?

Lucas

As I pulled into the school parking lot with Percy, Nate, and Carrie, peoples heads turned to our direction. Well, that's weird. The brothers got out first then Carrie and I. We locked hands and strode into the school with people still watching us. But instead of curiosity and awe, like normal, they were glaring and looking at us with pity. 

Ok, what is going on? As we almost got to the entrance of the school, something hit me in the back of the head.

"What the...?" I looked down at the crumpled ball paper that hit my head. I leaned down to pick it up, letting go of Carrie's hand in the process.

I un-crumpled it and stared at what I saw. No..no..it can't be... 

Alex and Carrie were on his bed, making out, almost to the point of sex. How did I know this? His hand was up her shirt. This was in my house and I didn't notice. How could I not? And this must have been taken yesterday because she was wearing the same clothes. 

"What is it baby?" Carrie asked me, trying to put her arms around my waist. I shook her off me and stepped away from her, disgusted. She looked hurt and angry. I just stared at her. My own brother...

"What?" She snapped. I shook my head at her and pushed the piece of paper to her. It took her a second to register what she was seeing but finally caught on. Her eyes widened with shock and her mouth dropped open.

She looked up at me, with tears welling up in her eyes, but I knew, somehow, they were fake. "Honey, I-I.. t-this isn--" She started, but I interrupted her.

"If you say this isn't you, don't bother. I won't believe you." I said in a calm voice. Suprisingly, I wasn't sad or brokenhearted. Just pissed off and stupid. Every time someone whispered that Carrie cheated on me or something, I would always ignore them. I think deep down, I knew it was true but I loved, yes loved, her enough to just not think about it. Yet, this was proof and i couldn't deny it any more. I have a something to base my suspicions on. Now that I think of it, all those times that Carrie was late or that one time I caught her with her 'cousin', who I don't think it was her cousin.

But the thing that really irked me, was that this is my brother. My brother. My flesh and blood. And he didn't even care. My brother and my girlfriend...Well, ex-girlfriend now.

"This was a long time ago! I swear!" She squealed at me. I laughed at her without humor.

"Shut up, Carrie. Stop the damn lying!" I yelled at her. She flinched and this time, I didn't give a crap. She brought this on herself. 

"B-but I'm n-not lying!" She retorted, still shaken up. I rolled my eyes at her, my fist clenching as she keeps lying. Teagan was always right..and I didn't believe her... I can't take this. I'm too angry. I'm going to probably do something stupid. And I really didn't want to do this conversation with the whoe freaking school watching. 

"I got to go. Bye." I said, walking away to my car. But before I got too far, I turned back around and said, "Oh ya, it's over Carrie." I said simply. Everyone, even Carrie, gasped. Her face got very red and her bony fists were clenched at her side.

"Don't walk away from me!" She screamed after me. I ignored her and got in my car, then drove away.

I wonder who put those pictures up...?

This may make me sound like a chicken but I really didn't feel like confronting her in front of the whole school when she knows something about me and I really don't want the whole school to know.

The bell for first period finally rang and I panicked since Luke is in that class. I really don't want to talk to him..if he knows it's me...So, looks like I'm ditching first.

After going wolf for a while in the nearby forest, it was finally second period. That I was dreading also, because the Ty thing. I really didn't like him like that. Why do guys have to go and make things so complicated? 

But I decided to just say 'yes' because I don't have a date and I'm betting Luke is too heartbroken to ask. I'm so not going to wait for him. 

I walked into second period and all eyes turned to me. I blushed slightly.

"Miss Landers please take an open seat." The teacher told me with a wave of their hand. Wow, thanks for caring, I though sarcastically.

I scanned the room and saw the open spot next to Ty again. He kept avoiding my gaze, which I didn't blame him. He probably thinks I rejected him, which I sort of did...

He was drawing on his notebook so he didn't even look up. I took the note, which I kept just in care, from my back pocket of my jeans.

I sat down and he mumbled a 'hi' then went back to doodling on his notebook. I un-folded the note and took out my pencil.

I answered him and passed it over to him. He looked as confused as I did the first time, but opened it anyway. When he saw it, he lit up like a freaking Christmas tree, it was so cute. Like a little kid cute, not cute-cute.

Ty looked at me and smiled. "Thank-you." I must have looked confused but he didn't look like he was going to explain it. So I just shrugged it off.

Looks like I'm going to the Masquerade Ball with Ty.

Not with Luke...

Carrie finally got hers. Sort of. I'm not quite finished with her. She deserves so much more than that, to me. What do you all think? So I'm going to be uploading a small chapter for 'Love On Impact' It's not much but it's better than nothing. It's like a sneak peek. (: So the Masquerade Ball isn't 'till another couple chapters, sadly. This book might be coming to an end. There WILL a sequel. Just saying.  I'm going to be camping for the weekend so I'll upload when I get back(:
