They took the dogs hiking the dogs ran free chasing one another as Seth and MJ are walking hand in hand. The dogs find themselves a  waterfall to play in. 

"This is absolutely amazing." She says as she sits on a boulder as the dogs swim in the water. Seth joins her and watches. 

"I wish there was more places like this closer to home." Seth admits as he takes in the fresh air. Seth glances over and looks at a pondering MJ. "What are you thinking about right now?" 

"Im just thinking about how day 1 of working at this company I would have never thought this is where I would end up." 

He lets out air through his nose, " Yeah I wasn't the nicest person was I?" 

"You were horrible." He nearly chokes on his own spit. "You really were though." 

"I admit it takes a moment for me to warm up to people." He says softly. She chuckles. "Hey..." He asks softly, "Do you ever hate being an alpha?" 

She takes a moment to think how can anyone hate being an alpha? You get all the perks!

She shakes her head.

"Really not once?"

"I mean... I just think about what I have verses what other genders like don't have. I find that being an alpha has its advantages ones that change my life for the better..." 

He nods, "Still... being an alpha isn't always sunshine and rainbows. You can never trust people." 

Immediately her body stiffens. She glances at the water showing a reflection of herself.

"People want things from you all the time. We automatically assume some one has ulterior motives. It can get lonely and isolating but you seem pretty carefree when it comes to trust people... so maybe not all alphas are like that..." 

Thats because she isn't an alpha. 

She clears her throat, "My grandmother taught me that trust is given when trust in earned. I may give off a very charismatic vibe but that doesn't mean I trust people. It's when I have conversations like now that symbolizes trust for me." 

"Your grandmother... Where you close?" 

"I say grandmother but she was my adoptive parent. She died a few years back but yeah we were close."

"It doesn't sound like you don't really have anyone is your corner..." He said a little too loud realizing what he said was a bit harsh he tried to recover, "I mean thats what it sounds like-" 

"No you are right. I don't have any family. I guess the only one I have is Samantha."

"An alpha's life is a lonely one..." 

So is a beta's.

"Come on... Let's go." They both get up and start walking up on an incline. 

After 45 min MJ exhausted nearly trips, "You know im black right!?" M.J yells as she tries to keep up with Seth and the dogs. 

"Oh come on! We are almost there." He says as he offers his back for a piggy back ride to the very top. 

Mj gets off of Seth's back and looks at the high mountain view. 

"This is incredible."  She says as she sits down to just look at everything. 

"It's one of my favorite views." Seth says as he stands next to her. "I take this path every year." 

"By yourself?" 

"Me and my dog yeah..." 

"Why are you showing me this...." It's clear that this was an important place for him. Seth sits down beside her. 

"I wanted a moment away from everyone. So we can talk..." 

"Talk?"

"About us." 

She had a feeling  that is was his plan, "Seth."

" I want to date you. I want to be your partner and protect you." 

"We still have a lot to talk about Seth before we get to that point." M.J says as she gets up. 

"Ok lets talk about it then..." 

"I have been told to be careful with you since your a dominant alpha... I want to hear why... I mean its clear you have anger issues..." 

"The anger comes when my hormones get overstimulated. It doesn't take much unfortunately especially when it pertains to you... But thats not the only reason why i'm considered as dangerous."

"What else?" 

"Remember in the car you asked me how my mom died?" 

She nods, "Yeah you said to talk about it later." 

He nods, "My Father killed my mother." 

Mj shifts, "What do you mean? The man we saw a few days ago is the person who killed you mom?" How does he still have a job?! "Didn't you say you father loved her the most?" 

"I did say that." 

"Then...." 

"My mother was my father's fated pair. When they have sex, for a dominant alpha he is treading on a dangerous line."

"A dangerous line?" 

" We.... could go primal." 

She has never heard much about primal. She heard it once in school. "So you guys go crazy?" 

"Crazy doesn't define it. We go back to our animal instincts. We lose ourselves for a moment and whoever is front of us might as well be prey." Seth walks up to her. Mj doesn't move. "I saw him...hold her lifeless body in bed crying over her mauled corpse. It's a dominant alpha's worse nightmare." He grabs Mj's hand slightly. "Im hoping its different with you." 

"Why do you say that?" 

"Your an Alpha... Alpha's and even omegas can healed if the wounds aren't severe. My mother was a beta. She doesn't have those abilities."

Wait. 

"So are you saying that if your mom wasn't a beta... she might have lived through her injuries." 

He nods, "Yeah." Immediately she wanted to vomit. He has no idea and if he wasn't holding back. He could have really killed her. Her legs gave out on her as she fell to the ground, "WOAH! Are you okay?" 

"Im sorry I just need a moment..." She murmurs. 

"I know this is a lot... I didn't know how to tell you. But I know this is the reason why you are my fated partner. I feel more at ease knowing you are an alpha...." 

This is crazy. 

"Seth... There is something I have to tell you-" She hesitantly says. 

Both of the dogs start barking like crazy in the woods. "Whats going on?" He says as he helps Mj up. "Stay here." He says as he sprints into the woods. 

Mj ignores his instructions and sprints right after him.
