"The rules are simple," Luca announces to the crowd.

"Your team must protect your flag, before the other team takes it. You may shift, but since you know the rules you may not hurt a human." He says looking at me and my friends.

"Who are captains?" Karlie Ann asks from behind me.

Luca smirks.

"Well, Bentley and I enjoy having a little competition. So I was thinking we could do it like old times. Bentley will be captain of the Black Team and I'll be the captain of the Silver Team." He says holding up a black and silver bandana.

"Piece of cake." Bentley smirks.

"But there's a catch." Luca smirks.

"Theres always a catch with you Luca." Antonio, Luca's beta sighs.

"Well I have to keep things interesting." Luca laughs.

"So what's the catch?" Bentley asks.

Luca looks at me and smirks.

"Your mate cannot be on your team."

"Luca." Anna says standing up.

"Thats not fair!" Blake says standing up.

"This should be fun." Ashton laughs while Kendra gives him a blank look.

The crowd whispers amongst themselves before Luca clears his throat.

"Wait, what if you don't have a mate?" I ask.

"You will be randomly placed into a team." Luca smiles.

He then turns back to the crowd.

"Alrighty, so let's get this over with and determine teams. Once we are done you will be give a bandana to place somewhere visible on your body. After that, you will have one hour to strategize with your captain and team."

Everyone claps and rises.

"Cousin." Luca says motioning for Bentley to stand beside him.

"Since I'm the guest, I get to pick first." Bentley says and everyone laughs.

"Choose two." Luca smirks.

"Ashton and Greyson." Bentley says raising his eyebrow with a smirk.

The boys step to the left.

"So I get the girls." Luca laughs.

"Good Luck." Bentley laughs into the Mike earning a slap from Dana as she walks to Luca's side.

I follow since I already know I'm on Luca's team, and Anna does the same.

"I'll take Karlie Ann and Antonio."

Teams finally concluded, we are now on the farthest side of the wooded territory waiting for the signal to begin.

Luca came up with strategy to set up sort of groups I guess you could say.

One group is defense lead surprisingly by Dana. They will stay on our side guarding the flag who is personally guarded by Antonio and taking out anyone who comes to our side.

Luca though it was a great idea since Dana is psychic and can see our opponents coming.

We then have a Rescuing group led by Karlie Ann to save our memebers when they are taken to jail.

We then have capturures led by Blake (My boy) to try and capture the flag.

And finally we set up a secret group that will sneak to the flag. This includes myself, Luca, Luca's third in command Maritza, which is pretty badass, she has full on tattoo sleeves and is so pretty, and Carter a guard from our pack.

I don't know why he chose me to be in this secret group, I'm the most heavy footed, obnoxious person ever. But he said it's for reason.

"Alright guys, protect the flag but have fun!" Luca smiles.

Then we hear a loud buzzer and things very quiet.

People begin to shift, hide and carefully walk into the the others side.

I stay put.

"Lucy, come on." Luca whispers to me.

"I'm scared." I say and some chuckle silently.

"I have a short cut to get us along." He smirks.

"Short cut? It's like 6 miles away." I say confused.

"Not when your a sneaky, cheater like Luca." Maritza chuckles shaking her head.

Luca rolls his eyes.

He then pushes my behind a tree.

"Ready?" He asks.

"Ready for what?" I say tilting my head.

All of a sudden the grass beneath me suddenly like falls and I land on my butt onto a cement surface.

I look around to see like an underground hallway kinda thing. I don't know what to call it.

"Move over." Maritza says.

I take a step back and Maritza followed by Luca and Carter join us, then the whole that I fell through is covered back up and locked.

"What is this place?" Carter whispers.

"Under attack or emergencies we have here this underground hall where we can have sneak attacks." Maritza says.

"No need to whisper its sound proof." Luca says walking forward.

I then shout 'Hello!'

"Shh!" Luca says giving me a death glare.

"I thought it was sound proof?" I ask nervous.

"It is." Luca chuckles.

"You should have seen your face." Maritza laughs along with Carter.

"Youre definitely related to Bentley." I say rolling my eyes.

"Are we almost there? My feet hurt." I whine leaning in Carter.

"Yes, we almost there Lucy." Maritza sighs.

"Would you like me to carry you Luna?"  Carter asks looking down at me.

"As much as I would love that, we shouldnt." I laugh leaning in him.

"We can take a break." Carter says and me and him both sit on the floor.

"Its right there." Luca says Pointing to a ladder.

"Youre going to have to wait. I cant move." I groan.

"Five minutes. Maritza and I will strategize." Lucas says and him and Maritza walk over and begin to scheme.

"They take this very seriously." I say to Carter.

"But the main goal is to have fun!" He says flatly and I chuckle.

We sit in silence and I look at Carter. He hasn't found his mate yet, he's not unattractive at all. He has dark red hair almost brown with dark green eyes. He almost reminds me of a skater with his hair cut, long on top and shaved on sides. He could do a little man bun.

I laugh.

"What's so funny Luna?" He asks.

"I just pictured you with a man bun." I laugh.

He smirks and shakes his head.

"Alright you rested?" Luca asks looking at me.

"Not really but whatever." We stand up and walk over to them.

"So the plan is, Maritza is going to go out first and make sure the coast is clear. Then I will go followed by Lucy, then Carter will stay close behind.

"We have to be quick though. Antonio reported that not many have made far enough into our land, but we are losing some." Luca says.

"Alright quick." I say bouncing on my toes.

"Lets do this!" Carter claps.

Maritza goes out first slowly through the hatch, we wait a moment then she signals us to follow.

Once all out we hide behind a giant log and bushes to scope out area.

The flag is standing up on a hill of rocks.

"There it is!" I say a little loud making Luca slap his hand over my mouth.

"Shh." He says releasing his hand.

"Look there's two of our team members." Maritza whispers.

"Its Blake and Joseph." Carter says pointing to the two shifted wolf's with solve bandanas wrapped around their legs.

We watch as Joseph, from Luca's pack, walks closer to rocks.

Suddenly a grey wolf, Greyson and Ashton, in human form, jump out.

"Not today." Ashton chuckles and then the four begin to wrestle around.

"Maritza you go, while theyre are distracted." Luca says.

Maritza goes around behind, and quickly but quietly stalks towards the flag.

She begins to climb the rocks when a big blonde wolf tackles Maritza off the rocks.

Maritza skillfully lands on her feet.

"Luna." She smirks.

"Thats Anna?" I say amazed. She's quite bigger than the other she wolf's I've come across.

"Beautiful isn't she?" Luca says almost lost in a trance.

I nudge him.

"What do we do now?" I ask.

"I'll go next." Carter says.

But instead of walking to the rocks he climbs up the tree.

He makes it to the top and waits for moment. He then jumps down from the tree and lands right in front of the flag.
