Chapter 6

Present Time- Flying Through Space

The team sat silently on the ship as they flew away towards Regnonium. No one had any idea of what to do. They had to get Alvero and Hellen to Regnonium and save the Infinisapien species. But after that they had to find a way to stop the sisters.

"I could help in any way I can," said Kairu, "You guys helped me so I will help you guys now."

"Thanks dude," said Genos. He looked around the ship and saw a really damaged Humatrix, and Night Mist who was still unconscious. Professor Mark wasn't of much help, due to his injuries from Malthurax, he had trouble thinking without getting a headache. All that was left to stop the sisters were Genos, Frostbite, Mystican, Nighto, Beyonder, and Kairu. Along with Alvero and Hellen.

"Flame is gone as well. He took the Juggernaut with him as well," said Frostbite.

"Knowing Flame, he crashed the ship and is probably stuck in some planet," said Nighto.

"Remember that one mission where we went to some beach planet, and he ended up being chased by giant crabs," said Mystican with a sneer.

"Yeah. And Humatrix and Overdrive just laughed and watched. Night Mist hit both of them over the head," said Nighto.

"Hope this is all over soon," said Beyonder.

"Yeah. Maybe we can have a mission like the ones we used to have," said Genos.

"Alright guys. We are approaching Regnonium's multiverse. Seeing how slow this ship is without a full tank, we will be there in three days. Thankfully we have food and water here," said Professor Mark, "The sisters are probably still looking for us."

"Thanks professor," said Nighto.

"You know, we better find Flame after this. If not Twist is going to get pissed," said Genos.

"Twist? Who's that?" asked Kairu.

"His girlfriend. Can't believe someone like Flame could get a girl to fall for him though," said Frostbite. Somewhere in the past a certain friend sneezed.

Location: Outskirts Of Matrixius Prime
Time: 7,500,225,372,124 Years In The Past

"You catch a human cold?" asked Temporis as she saw Flame sneeze.

"Nah, I'm okay," said Flame as he saw out the window as he saw the universes go by.

Flame and Temporis were flying on a massive ship along with hundreds of other soldiers. They were about to approach Matrixius Prime. The ship couldn't go to fast, this was so that it didn't just insta-traveled right into an enemy trap. Flame saw out the window the massive planet from the distance. It was slightly bigger than Regnonium.

"A threat to the Matrixians? What could it be?" said Flame as the ship approached the planet.

"I don't know. Hope we don't face to much trouble," said Temporis.

"How many fights have you been to?" asked Flame.

"Like five major battles. We are protectors you know? It is our job to help those in need," said Temporis, "You know, you are probably the first human to get a title of Knight, and in such little time as well."

"Really? I feel kinda silly in this armor," said Flame, "And I think I lost your cape."

"Don't worry, you look good. And the cape just changed color. You are still wearing it," she said.

"Really? Well, I trust you," said Flame. The two sat there as the ship approached Matrixius Prime at high speeds.

Soon they entered the atmosphere and kept going to the surface towards the main city. The land below them had been turned into dark stone and ash, and ahead of them the city was in fire. Evacuation had already began, seeing as how many ships were already flying off into space.

"Troops, arm yourselves and get ready," said Daryon, leader of the Knights, Royal Guard, and a General in the army, "Me and my Knights shall head forward and see what is happening."

"Let's go," said Temporis as she and Flame got up and followed Daryon. Flame looked around and saw many other Knights, all of them looked like skilled warriors. Definitely stronger than Flame. Ever since Genos came back with Angelic powers, he has been on par with Mystican and Humatrix when it comes to strength. Frostbite has his Celestialsapin transformations that let him become almost as strong as them. And Flame, well his power just got doubled with the gauntlet and the Kaen Katana. Of course he had his Phoenix form.

"Something troubling you?" asked Temporis as she walked next to Flame.

"No. I'm fine, just thinking," said Flame.

"That's right. You were supposed to fix your ship and leave didn't you," said Temporis, sounding a bit disappointed for some reason.

"No. That's not it," said Flame.

"Is it because you feel weaker since you are surrounded by me and other Infinisapiens?" asked Temporis, shocking Flame.

"How did you know that!?" asked Flame.

"I'm an Infinisapien. I may be sixteen, but my IQ surpasses that of a human by a lot. We tend to notice things that others don't," said Temporis, "Don't worry. I bet you will get stronger as you keep fighting."

"Thanks Temporis," said Flame.

The group of Knights soon reached the outer wall of the capital, and there stood a large group of Matrixians in soldier uniforms. One of them turned around to see them, one in the uniform of a general, and from the shape of his head, he was an Alpha Matrixian.

"Thank God you are here. We have lost the city," said the Matrixian general.

"What happened here?" asked a Knight ahead.

"Two people came and destroyed the gates and marched straight to the palace, killing all people on the way," said the Matrixian.

"Two people? How could they takeover the city!?" asked the Knight.

"Those they killed they turned into weird snake beings. We are fighting our own men here," said the general. At that moment a massive blast of energy was blasted over the city towards the soldiers. Using their power the matrixians shielded themselves from the blast.

"What of the Emperor?" asked the Knight as he saw the barricade at the main gate.

"We don't know. He was in the palace when it was attacked. The enemy activated the security system. Anything inside the walls and around can only take physical forms. Our soldiers aren't able to faze through and go to the palace," said the general.

"Alright. We'll order the troops to come over here. We can begin a siege on the city and head towards the palace and recapture it," said the Knight.

"Thanks for the help. I'll get my troops ready," said the Matrixian general.

After a few minutes both armies were ready outside the walls. The Knights were at the front and the armies right behind them. They had surrounded the city and prepared to enter.

"This is the real deal Flame. Are you ready?" asked Temporis as he prepared herself to fight.

"Ready as I can be," said Flame as he unsheathed both blades. They glowed and gave off an amazing amount of heat. The matrixian general stepped forward.

"We will recapture the palace! Remember, one on one battles! For the emperor!" he yelled. Then the energy barricades went down and the troops all rushed in from all sides.

As soon as they entered they were attacked by a wave of weird mutations that resembled a combination of a matrixian and a snake. The soldiers put up a fight as they battled all they could. Screams could be heard as soldiers were being ripped apart by the monsters.

Flame and Temporis ran along with the other knights as they charged through the main gate and towards the palace. Flame looked around and saw a red sky with flowing orange stars. Around him he saw that a shadow had fallen upon the land. He used his blades as he slashed away the monsters, and Temporis destroyed them. Troops of soldiers followed them as they fought the best the could.

"Crud! There are too many!" yelled Flame as he was surrounded by four of them. He used the Flame Blade and the Kaen Katana to block the incoming attacks, and then let off a massive wave of fire all across the field, pushing the snakes away and giving the soldiers time to destroy them.

"We are almost to the palace!" said Temporis as the knights and soldiers entered the palace's gates. There they found a large amount of snake monsters that lunged at them. Blasts of energy flew everywhere as they fought. Flame looked up and saw that the palace had collapsed in on itself, and few rooms remained.

"Get inside! Now!" yelled the Matrixian General as the Knights went inside along with a few more troops. They were inside the throne room and across the room was the body of the emperor. He was an Alpha Matrixian, with two large crests on the middle of his head, and two smaller ones on each side. He laid in a pool of his own blood as the two beings stood above him. One was sitting on his throne, and the other one proceeded to cut his head off.

"It can't be! Exitus and Exitium!" yelled Temporis as she saw the two sisters. But they had changed in appearance. They were twisted, their eyes had turned black with glowing blue irises. Their mouths stretched from ear to ear, and were filled with fangs. Their bodies now had jagged spikes that covered them completely.

"Look who's here to join the fun. The Knights and a Matrixian General," said Exitus, her voice causing the very foundations of the planet to shake violently.

"They killed the emperor! Kill them!" yelled the Matrixian general.

"No stop!" yelled Flame, but the troops ran forward. They were soon met with swift deaths as the sisters killed them mercilessly. They ripped them apart, blood splattering everywhere. They couldn't even attack as they were cut down quickly.

"Take this! Fire Slash!" yelled Flame as he combined the power of both blades, and the cape's enchantment to deliver a powerful blow. Dust was blasted everywhere, but when it cleared, Flame saw that Exitus had stopped them with her hand. She smacked Flame away, and he was blasted into a wall. He hit it and fell on the ground in pain. When he got up he saw the Matrixian general yelling.

"We can't win this," said the general, his demeanor changing quickly, "RETREAT!"

The soldiers ran away screaming before they were attacked. Flame started to run but noticed Temporis wasn't with him.

"Temporis!" he yelled as he ran towards her. She stood there looking at the sisters in horror.

"Temporis! Come with me!" yelled Flame as he grabbed her hand. This cause her two snap out of it as Flame pulled her along. The two ran quickly along with the other troop.

The sisters followed, killing any unaware soldiers. When the soldiers noticed, they turned around and began running away. Infinisapiens and Matrixians alike ran as they were being pursued by the sisters.

"Into the ships soldiers!" yelled the general as the soldiers ran out of the city in panic. They loaded into the ships and began flying off. The ships blasted off towards space as they flew outside Matrixius Prime, which had fallen immediately. The Emperor was dead, the capital and all other cities destroyed, and the army fleeing from their own home.

Flame and Temporis sat next to each other. Their armor's were dirtied from ash and dirt. Flame's swords were self-repairing, as they had sustained tons of damage from hitting the matrixian-snake hybrids.

Flame looked at Temporis. Her neon blue hair was darker due to the ash, and her armor had been ripped in some places, and her cape was completely shredded. Her gauntlets were gone, completely destroyed from her attacking the monsters. She turned to see Flame, her eyes having lost their glow and were now a dark shade of blue.

"Can't believe it. We lost so quickly," she said as she looked at Flame.

"I... thought they were gone," said Flame.

"I thought so as well. But how could they have returned. How could they? They killed the queen! And now the matrixian emperor and his planet!" she yelled. She was shaking from fear. She had been to battles before. But she had never seen so many troops die is such a small amount of time.

"It will be fine. There has to be something we can do," said Flame as he looked at her.

"You really think so?" asked Temporis.

"I know so," he responded, secretly knowing they had been defeated in the past, exactly how he didn't know though.

"I'll trust you," she said giving a small smile, but then her face was covered by a bright blush, "But hey. Flame, I need to tell you something."

"Hmm... what is it?" asked Flame.

"You are still holding my hand," said Temporis looking away. Flame looked down and realized he hadn't let go since he ran out of the palace.

"Oh shoot! Sorry!" said Flame as he let go.

"I-It's fine," said Temporis, "Let's just go home."

The two then tried to relax, as they flew back to Regnonium to inform the king of what happened.
