Chapter 15

Location: Regnonium
Time: Present

The entire palace trembled as the energy within the Spring Of Life was released. Energy was blasted everywhere, and blue lighting covered the walls and shot out of the door.

"Everyone! Duck!" yelled Humatrix as he ducked next to the wall. A blast of blue energy was released and the the upper parts of the palace came crashing down.

"What is going on!?" yelled Genos.

"Time anomaly! It is expelling energy as it forms itself!" yelled Professor Mark.

Suddenly there was an explosion if blue energy the blasted the team away. They crashed right through the palace's wall and landed right outside on the palace's gardens. When the dust settled, they saw that the palace itself had almost toppled over completely, with the main tower having collapsed into itself. They looked around them and saw the the grass had burned away right at the entrance. Pieces of rubble covered the ground around them.

"A time anomaly? What came through?" said Night Mist.

The team peered into the hole that was left. They pushed the rubble away and entered the spring. The water was now filled with a glowing blue liquid.

"Is this blood?" said Kairu as he smelled the metallic smell.

"I think it's her's..." said Nighto and pointed at the center of the room, impaled on one of the many crystals was an Infinisapien girl. She wore a black suit that covered her whole body except her neck. At the waist it had an extra part making it look like she wore a skirt. She had long neon blue hair, hut at the moment it looked dark blue.

"She is alive," said Humatrix as he rushed over, "This wounds... they are life threatening."

"Her life force is weak," said Nighto, "She must have survived by somehow being launched here. If you don't treat her quickly she is going to die."

"That wound on her back..." said Night Mist, "It radiates dark energy..."

"I can treat it," said Professor Mark, "It is not as serious as before."

He then placed his hands on it, and started pouring energy into the wound. The wounds began to slowly heal, and the girl's hair began to regain a glowing neon blue color. Glowing blue lines appeared on her clothes, and they regained a metallic look to them.

"Is he going to be alright?" asked Frostbite.

"She is," said Professor Mark, "Her wounds are healing rather quickly."

"She must have survived by being trapped here under all the rubble," said Mystican, "Her life force must have been to weak for them to notice."

"Look, she is waking up," said Beyonder as they saw the girl slowly open her eyes.

"Are you alright?" asked Humatrix.

"I... I think so..." said the girl, "Gosh... my head hurts..."

"It should be a side effect of the technique I used on you," said Professor Mark, "You should be fine."

"What's you name?" asked Night Mist.

"I'm Temporis Aeterni, a Knight in service to King Damiron Adone," said the girl, "Where is everyone else!?"

"They... no one else made it," said Humatrix, "You are the last Infinisapien left."

"W-what?" she stammered, "No... but he... He was fighting alongside us. We couldn't have lost... everyone was there."

"The Infinisapiens were wiped out," said Nighto, "From what we can see, you are the only one left."

"What about Flame!?" she said in panic as she got up, only for her to flinch at her wounds and topple over.

"Easy there. You are still not completely healed. It may take you some time to adjust completely," said Professor Mark.

"You... you are Professor Marcus, aren't you?" said Temporis.

"I see you remembered quickly, Dame Temporis," said Professor Mark, "You appear to have been sent here, according to my past calculations."

"Calculations? What are you talking about professor?" asked Humatrix. "Who is Temporis?"

"Temporis, remember what I said? When Flame was going to activate the crystal?" said Professor Mark.

"You said... the eye if the future gazes at the past," said Temporis, and her eyes widened in realization, "How long ago was that?"

"...More than seven trillion years ago," said Professor Mark, "The fight ended that long ago."

"And where is Flame!?" asked Temporis getting up.

"He left. He should arrive in this time around any moment," said Professor Mark.

"Alright, care to explain what is going on Professor?" said Humatrix, "What happened?"

"When Flame was sent flying into space, he was met with a time anomaly that sent him to the time of the first Sister invasion," explained the Professor, "He and the other species won and sealed them away. Unfortunately, the seal was broken and they have returned. This here is Temporis Aeterni, an Infinisapien that supposedly died during the fight."

"But she was trapped in a time anomaly right?" asked Mystican.

"Yes. The breaking of the seal. The return of the sisters. Elena told me all of this," said the Professor, "I had no idea that what was about to happen would have this much effect. With the seven trillion year difference, I did not expect them to increase their power while sealed."

"You knew of this, but you didn't tell anyone?" asked Genos.

"I could not have told you. At the end of the Corruption's fight, Malthurax hit me with dark energy, to make sure I couldn't talk," said the professor, "But now my mind has come back to me, but now it is too late."

"Professor, what is going on outside!?" said Temporis.

"T-the sisters returned. And wiped the planet out," said Night Mist, "You- you are the last Infinisapien left..."

"This can't be... there is no way..." muttered Temporis in shock.

"We have no time left, they are already here," said the professor, "We must create another seal."

"And how do we do that!" yelled Mystican, "There is no time left! Their dark energy, I can feel it..."

"Flame is the key," said the professor, "The time anomalies caused by the Sisters sent him back, and now they are sending him back."

"As you all said, too late," said Humatrix as he walked over to a window outside. Outside the sky had turned red. Dark energy could be felt resounding all around the Infiniverse.

"Crap, they are already here," said Genos, "Alright guys, I don't know how much time we have until Flame arrives, but we have to stall them... as long as we can."

"Alright guys, emergency suicide mission," said Nighto, "I don't think we will get so lucky this time."

"Oh well, we don't know until we try," said Frostbite as he crossed his arms, and he glowed green as he transformed into the form of a being made of space, "Atomic X! I doubt it will be good enough, but I'll hold out longer."

"Alright guys, let's do this!" said Humatrix as he and the team teleported away from the palace, leaving Professor Mark and Temporis behind.

"I can't believe it..." said Temporis, "How could we have fallen?"

"They wiped your specie first, and then they rampaged around the Infiniverse, killing their old enemies. They left the Matrixians alive only because they came to finish us," said Professor Mark.

"What is going to happen now?" said Temporis.

"Hmm, by my calculations, we have only a slight chance of winning," said the Professor but then looked at her with a smile, "And hundreds of ways to do it."

"Really?" asked Temporis.

"Yes, I am sure," said the Professor, "So, shall we help?"

"I guess I don't have much of a choice..." said Temporis, and then she gazed up at the many crystals around the spring, "And I will avenge everyone."

"Well then. Let us go join then in battle, and hopefully we will have some help soon. As soon as the Council takes notice of this of course," said the Professor as he and Temporis left to join the rest of the team.

Location: Time Tunnel
Time: ...

"I can barely maintain the ship on track!" yelled Flame as he tried to keep the Juggernaut on it's course. Around him a blue light surrounded him as he traveled, leaving it would probably launch him somewhere in time.

"There we go, steady," said Flame as he held the controls in place. The Juggernaut kept shaking as it traveled though time.

"What is that!?" yelled Flame as suddenly a tentacle made of blue energy came through the walls of the tunnel and struck the ship.

"Oh crap," said Flame as he tried holding it in place. The defense mechanism activated and the ships blasters started blasting the tentacle to no avail.

Suddenly the tentacle grabbed the ship and started pulling it into the tunnels wall. Flame tried his best to try to get the ship free, but in the end the Juggernaut was pulled into the tunnel wall.

"Damn!" yelled Flame as the Juggernaut was bashed around as it was pulled in, and suddenly Flame passed out...

Flame opened his eyes and looked around him. He was surrounded by nothing but darkness surrounding him.

"Alright... I am lost," said Flame, "Did I get send to the beginning of time? Looks like it."

He looked down at his hands. Weirdly he could see himself, but everything surrounding him was in darkness. Despite not seeing any visible floor, he began walking around.

"Where did I end up?" said Flame as he looked around, "I need to get back to the others! I can't waste time here!"

"Didn't expect to see me again did you?" asked someone behind him. A voice he recognize. Flame turned around and was shocked at who he saw.

"O-Overdrive!?" yelled Flame as he saw his friend there with him, "You are alive!?"

"Not quite Flame. I am very much... dead," said Overdrive.

"What is going on? How are you here?" asked Flame, "And where is here exactly?"

"Welcome to the Void, where I have spent the last one hundred years," said Overdrive, "Well, not really three one hundred years by your appearance. Time here does not run normally."

"Alright, care to explain what is going on?" asked Flame, "What is the Void?"

"The Void is a place for those who died, and had some unfinished roll," said Overdrive, "As I traveled here, I have seen no one, until today."

"What is going on? I am really confused right now," said Flame as he looked around him. If the Void was a place for the dead, did he die?

"Flame, has Genos told you about what happened?" asked Overdrive.

"What do you mean? Told us what?" asked Flame.

"Nothing that matters now. Just ask him when you see him again," said Overdrive, "Now, to tell you how you got here. Now, I presume that you have been traveling by Time Anomalies, correct?"

"Yes, that is how I got to you home, Regnonium," said Flame.

"Then it worked," said Overdrice, "You see, before I died, I traveled through the Infiniversal Timeline. A very different way of time traveling. Anyways, while doing that I absorbed quite an amount of energy. I could use that energy even from here."

"Then you mean that you have been making all those anomalies?" asked Flame, "You meant to send me to the past."

"Yes, I did. I studied Infinisapien history, and I knew exactly who you were the day I met you," said Overdrive, "You are the one who saved my world. Unfortunately, it seems that it has met quite a terrible end. Totally unpredicted, like my sudden death."

"Why am I here? Why did you bring me to the Void?" asked Flame.

"Because, this may be the only time I get to tell you this," said Overdrive.

"Tell me what?" asked Flame, "What do you need to tell me?"

"Flame," said Overdrive taking a breath, and then his usual covered face disappeared, leaving a more human face behind. He hand neon blue hair and glowing eyes. He looked at Flame, his eyes dull and empty, but his expression serious. He looked at his friend for a second, and then spoke:

"At the rate things are going, you and everyone else will die."
