Chapter 8

Flame and Temporis were walking down the marble streets Amoriel. The two saw as many Deusapiens walked past, many of them walking in couples.

"This is really peaceful," said Flame, "With all that is going on, it is really nice to just relax a tiny bit."

"I agree. We haven't stopped working since I met you," said Temporis as she walked next to Flame, nervously fidgeting with her fingers, "You like Amoriel?"

"Yes. It looks like a really nice place," said Flame. The place was in fact very beautiful place. Flame saw that as they walked over a bridge there was a forum on the other side. A forum was an open space, and from what Flame saw it was filled with people.

"Maybe I should blend in a little with the people here," said Temporis. Flame turned to she that using her powers the black metallic body was instead was wearing a toga along with leather sandals. Apart from the neon blue hair and eyes, she could have passed as a Deusapien.

"How does it look?" she asked.

"Looks good," said Flame, "Come on, let's keep goin."

Flame turned around and continued walking, leaving a baffled Temporis behind. She ran up to him, and caught up and the two kept walking.

"So what type of restaurant is it? I'm starving," said Flame as he kept walking.

"It's... a very nice place. Many people go there," said Temporis, "I'm sure you will like it."

The two kept walking down the paths. Temporis looked at Flame's hand. Back in the palace during the attack, he held hers didn't he? What was happening to her? Why was she trying so hard to impress him...

"So what are the deusapien's powers?" asked Flame.

"What? Oh. Well, they hold nearly omnipotent power, like Infinisapiens and Matrixians," explained Temporis, "The only difference is that they can only take a physical form. The Deusapiens do have many powerful weapons which they work on for thousands of years."

"Really? Which I could see one of the weapons..." said Flame, "How far from the restaurant."

"It's right over there," said Temporis as she pointed at an open restaurant. It was made of marble, with columns holding up the roof. It was an open place, and people were seen inside.

"So what they got to eat here?" asked Flame.

"Don't know. I only heard stories from a friend," said Temporis with a grin as the two entered.

"Hello welcome," said a waitress as she saw the two, "Let me get you guys a table."

She led the two near the back where they sat down.

"Here are the menu's. Look them over, and please tell me what you will have to drink," said the waitress.

Flame looked down at the menu, and ordered a fruit punch, and so did Temporis.

"I'll be right back with your drinks," said the waitress and left.

Flame looked around, feeling kinda awkward. And honestly, he missed the team. He hasn't seen them in three days since he got here. Plus Twist was probably worried sick about him.

"You know, Deusapien have created foods that not even us Infinisapien's know how to make," said Temporis.

"Really?" responded Flame.

"Yeah. We don't know how they hide their secrets, and eating one of their dishes is amazing," she said, "Good thing we were sent here together. That way I can show you around."

"Thanks Temporis," said Flame.

The two sat in silence until the waitress came and gave them their drinks. After a while they ordered the food and then they began eating. Flame had to agree he had never tasted something so incredible.

"Like it?" asked Temporis.

"It's awesome! Too bad no one else knows how to make it," said Flame.

"Yeah. Many people come here to Amoriel for the food, and it is also called the... never mind that," said Temporis with a blush.

"Hmm? Are you sick? Do Infinisapien's get sick?" asked Flame.

"W-what? No. It's nothing," said Temporis turning around.

When the two finished eating, the waitress came again.

"You enjoyed the food?" she asked, and Flame and Temporis said yes.

"Will you have desert?" asked the waitress.

"Umm... sure. What is there?" asked Flame.

"No wait! Flame, let's not have desert. Or else we won't have time to see the rest of the city!" said Temporis, remembering the names of the many deserts, like the one named Lover's Sundae.

"Oh... alright then," said Flame confused, "Then we will have the check."

"Sure thing," said the waitress as she handed them the bill. The two paid for the food and left the restaurant and went outside.

"So what else is there to do here?" asked Flame.

"Hmm... there is the many temples around here. And a museum of art and history," said Temporis with exitement.

"Something more fun?" asked Flame not wanting to see a museum.

"Oh... sure. Let me think," said Temporis thoughtfully. She couldn't think of anything special they could do. All that was in this planet were parks, rides for couples, restaurants for couples... what else was there to do?

She turned to see the beautiful golden skies. It was quite late, since this planet had two suns, it was hard to differentiate night and day. She looked at the sunset and then at Flame. She never felt this way before, especially not towards a human. When was the time to tell him what she felt? Maybe she should just go for it...

"Umm, Flame," said Temporis with a blush.

"What? Something wrong?" asked Flame.

"Well... you see... err... I don't know how to say this but..." stumbled Temporis.

"Are you okay?" asked Flame concerned.

"Well..." responded Temporis awkwardly, "I wanted to tell you that-"

Suddenly there was a thundering sound that was heard for miles around. The sky islands shook violently, and the buildings around them had cracks forming on them.

"What was!?" yelled Flame.

The two looked up and saw that the once golden sun on one side of the planet had blown up in a massive supernova explosion. The planet was shaken, but thanks to it's protective barrier it was safe. Then the planet shook once again violently, but this time the tremor's came from the other side.

"Both suns are out," said Temporis as she looked around. Yet when the two looked up at the sky, it was a dark crimson color.

"Last time the sky was that way... no! Exitus and Exitium! They are here!" yelled Flame as he looked up. In the sky hundreds of snake monsters started raining down. The Deusapiens glowed, and were covered in full body golden plated armor. They started attacking the monsters, and were winning. But then more and more started pouring down.

"Flame... there is no time to waste. Let's fly to the palace and tell the king to evacuate!" yelled Temporis as she reequipped her armor, and Flame then did the same. The gauntlet reappeared on top of the white glove on his left hand, and the Kaen Katana once again formed on his back.

"Let's go!" said Flame as two phoenix wings appeared on his back.

The two then flew above the islands and headed to the palace. Many Deusapiens had already boarded the ships. The two broke through the wall and into the king's chamber. There they found him looking outside. He was tall, around 8.5 feet tall. He wore a toga with gold and purple decorations. He had tanned skin and a long grey beard. If it wasn't for the fact that he didn't have a lightning bolt in his hand, Flame would had thought this was Zeus.

"You two... are Knights from Regnonium. Tell me who is invading my domain," he said.

"King Antonium, we were told by our king to ask for your help, but we could not be granted access since today is Sunday," said Temporis bowing down, "We need your help in stopping Exitus and Exitium. The rogue Infinisapien sisters that have attacked here, and have taken Matrixius Prime."

"Matrixius Prime? Very worrisome indeed, you two go out there and save as many lives as you can," said King Antonium, "I'll tell my people to evacuate. Go! Now before it's too late!"

"Yes King Antonium!" said Temporis, and she dragged Flame along as the two stepped outside. They saw that many Deusapiens had been turned into snake monsters, and were fighting along with the Matrixian snake monsters.

"Take them out! And tell them to get to safety!" said Temporis as the two attacked.

Flame used his blade to punch all the snakes towards Temporis who destroyed them in midair. They along with the soldiers fought fiercely, destroying all the monsters you could.

"Darn! They are dropping the islands!" said Flame as he saw island bridges crumbling as some islands began to fall down to the surface.

"Run! Towards the escape pods. We can't win this!" yelled the King using telepathy to alarm everyone.

"Leaving? Again? I just got here," said someone from behind Flame. He saw Exitus just a second before he received a hard hit to the head. He was sent rolling down on the ground and the felt as everything under him disappeared. Almost fell, but he felt as if someone held his hand and pulled him up. Flame opened his eyes and looked up. Whoever had saved him, it was a girl with a torn up white dress and long blonde hair, but he couldn't see her face.

"Thanks," said Flame as he got up. But when he turned around the girl was gone.

"Temporis! Is everyone out?" asked Flame as he found Temporis.

"Yes. Your ship is right over there. I'll teleport us!" she said as Flame and Temporis teleported inside the ship.

"Engines on! Let's go!" yelled Flame as the Juggernaut lifted of the ground, blasting enemies away. Them the ship turned up, and flew off into space.

Down below the sisters looked up smiling.

"Quicker than the last?" said Exitus.

"Yes. But this ones were smarted than the Matrixians," said Exitium, "Our army grows with the ones who died here."

"When will we attack Regnonium?" asked Exitus.

"Patience dear sister. We will soon. Let's just toy with them a bit more," said Exitium.

"Alright sis. I'll follow you lead," said Exitus.

The two sisters looked up and saw the abandoned palace, as the last islands fell down. Around them snake monsters came along.

"Let's go. We have other plans," said Exitium as the two turned around and left Amoriel.

How Infinisapien adaptability works:

Infinisapiens adapt. That is their main ability. The way it works is simple.

Imagine you attack one with fire that is only 50% of your power. The average Infinisapien will block 55%.

If you use full power, they will adapt to 125 % adaptation.

If you attack them with 200% the power, then they will have trouble. It would be like they can block 130%. And so on and so on. They get stronger, but the increments of adaptability slow down. Infinisapiens like Overdrive has endless adaptability, making him the strongest Infinisapien.
