Sisters: Disaster
Chapter 3
The team had gone to one of the Infiniversal Council's offices and gave the report on what happened in Regnonium. The trip back was silent, as the team was a feeling sick from what they saw. For an entire planet of near omnipotent beings to be wiped out in less than two hours... who could have done it?
"The Corruption is gone. But it didn't kill anything, just absorbed energy," said Humatrix.
"The other teams said the force field was forced from within," said Nighto, "Someone must have attacked from the inside, hence the forcefield that didn't let anyone enter."
"And we can't even find a single trace of energy," said Night Mist, "We can't even see the planet's past to see who it was. Time is now fragmented in that planet. Time doesn't just break like that. Everything in that planet is in ruins."
"Whatever we are dealing with is on a way different level," said Flame.
"Overdrive dies. A few days later someone destroy the population from the inside?" said Frostbite, "There has to be some sort of connection."
The team kept trying to think about who the culprit could be, all while Skeleton Mark sat in the back sit. He was strangely quiet, which he almost never was. Ever since Overdrive's death he hadn't talked much. If someone had paid close station, they would have noticed a strange tone in his voice. It was fear. He knew what was coming, but without his other half, he was no match for them. He remained silent in the back as the team kept talking.
The team soon arrived at the hotel and parked the ship outside ( I am so tired I almost wrote car). All of them wanted to rest for the whole day they made it into the hotel and were surprised by who was there. In the back, talking to Acksel in the front table were two people. There was a man and woman with neon blue hair and eyes, their bodies, apart from their heads, where covered in what looked like a black metallic material with glowing blue lines.
"Dude... they look like Overdrive," said Flame.
"I think they must be Infinisapiens... but I thought they were all in Regnonium," said Humatrix.
"I believe we should introduce ourselves;" said Professor Mark as he walked over to the Infinisapiens. The two Infinisapiens turned around to see the professor.
"You must be Professor Mark, and they must be the Alpha League, correct?" said the female Infinisapien, "I am Hellen, and this is my husband Alvero."
"Oh, yes hello," said the Professor, "It appears you were looking for me and my friends?"
The team walked over there, now intrigued to hear what the two had to say.
"Umm, have we met you guys before? Are you friends of Overdrive?" asked Flame.
"He still calls himself Overdrive?" said Alvero, "Oh, excuse me. We haven't told you exactly who we are."
"And who are you?" asked Misty.
"We are Hellen and Alvero Eridis. We are Solaris' parents, or by the name you know him as, Overdrive," said Hellen.
"What!? His parents? He never told us he had parents," said Flame, "I thought that Infinisapiens were born when an old Infinisapien chose it was time to rest."
"There are two ways. One is like he example you said, the other with a father and mother," said Alvero.
"I see. You must have come when you heard the news," said Humatrix.
"Yes. We tried to reach you at the place your old base was located. Turns out we hadn't been informed that you lost your base," said Alvero.
"We would like to apologize. We... we let your son due in our watch," said Genos, remembering his friends last moments.
"We are not here to place the blame on anyone. Our son was always stubborn. But it doesn't mean he wasn't smart. He knew exactly what he was doing, so do not blame yourselves for what happened," said Hellen.
"And why are you here?" asked Humatrix.
"I believe you know what happened to our home. And we are here because we want to talk about our son, and tell you what is happening," said Hellen.
"Umm... alright then," said Humatrix.
"This is awkward," whispered Flame to Frostbite.
"Yeah... they don't seem to happy about our current situation," said Frostbite.
"You think it'll be okay?" asked Flame.
"Don't worry. What's the worse that can happen by talking to them for a while?" responded Frostbite.
The group then left the reception and went to a small room that could be rented to hold conversation.
"We are sorry about this," said Humatrix. The group was sitting in a remote room in the hotel.
"We have told you that it wasn't your fault," said Alvero, "My son left home years ago, despite what everyone else told him. Even our king warned about it. Yet our son said good bye and flew off in search of entertainment."
"Just like that?" asked Night Mist.
"He never felt right at home. He complained that there was always something in the back of his mind. Back home he always complained about something surrounding him," said Hellen.
"Why would that be?" asked Mystican.
"We finally know the reason," said Alvero, "We know why he always kept saying that. He unconsciously knew that he was going to die."
The room went silent. The League was in shock.
"Knew? What do you mean?" asked Nighto.
"It is said that whenever an Infinisapien is going to die, they feel something around them," said Albero, "A long time ago there was a war where many Infinisapien's died. The ones that survived said that a few companions kept complaining about something around them, they died. Weirdly for some reason, the ones that died were the ones that did something amazing during the war."
"Only the war heroes? Strange," said Humatrix.
"We heard our son had been beaten three years ago when he challenged a hero name Silverblade," said Alvero.
"Silverblade? Him!? What was Overdrive thinking?" said Nighto.
"He always wanted to prove himself stronger than the rest. He came home that day. He said that he had forgotten the feeling of being surrounded by something by focusing in being the strongest. Getting beaten reminded him of that," said Hellen.
"He used anything to distract himself from that?" asked Flame, "Is that why he invited me to come along on our first mission a long time ago.
"I believe so," said Hellen, "Doubt it was only for that reason. Us Infinisapiens are not evil or manipulative. Except for those two."
"Those two? Who are they?" asked Frostbite.
"A long time ago, our king was married. The thing is that our new queen was murdered right after the weeding," said Hellen.
"Murdered? By whom?" asked Genos.
"Her own two sisters. They were jailed and sent to a special prison. No one knows what happened to them during their time there apart from the king, but when they came back they declared war against the Infiniverse," said Alvero.
"We fought during that war along with for different races from the surrounding Exteverses," said Hellen.
"I assume they were defeated?" asked Night Mist.
"Yes. But not killed. They were sealed with a life force made from one of our own kind," said Hellen.
"And you can guess who it was. Our son," said Alvero, "Hellen gave birth to him on that day. Unfortunately when the sisters were defeated, his life force was automatically chosen by the seal. Nothing we could do about it."
"Wait," said Humatrix, "If the life force seal is broken now that our friend is dead, does that mean-"
"They are back. And they drove our species to extinction. Apart from us. But we know a way to save the Infinisapiens," said Hellen.
"Really? How?" asked Humatrix.
"Infinisapiens first appeared when our king appeared from a place we call the Spring Of Life. After a while the Spring dried and an inscription appeared in front of the Spring. It said that the day our species were in danger, that we could activated again," said Hellen.
"Really? How can we do that?" asked Flame.
"It is said the answer will be revealed by the Spring itself to last Infinisapiens," said Alvero, "And that is why we need your help. Our son always tried to protect others, no matter the cost. So we are willing to do anything to bring our species back from danger."
"And due to the Sisters being out there, you need us as an escort to take you there?" asked Beyonder.
"That is correct. Will you help us?" asked Hellen.
"Of course we will," said Humatrix.
"We must go know. The Alpha Juggernaut is ready to go," said Professor Mark, "There is not telling if the sisters want to come and finish what they started."
Hotel Lobby
Aksel was sitting at the front table. He had heard the news about what happened. But what could he do? He was at work here, and his team was on a mission somewhere far away. And he had to work here for a week for messing up their ship.
"Boring!!!!!" he said as he bounced up and down his table. Being a globnarg and being denied to bounce was torture. He heard the door open and he turned around to greet the costumers. He was amazed as he saw the two most beautiful girls he has ever seen in his entire globbing life. He bounced over to them.
"Helloooo ladies," he said, trying to look cool. Despite being a blob of green jelly.
"Hello there!" said one of them smiling. Suddenly she aimed her hand at Aksel, who before he could react, was blasted in the face. His jelly went everywhere, and all that was left of him was a dark spot where he used to stand.
People began running in panic, only to be killed by the two girls. A woman died trying to get her small daughter out. The woman was blasted in the head and fell to the ground.
"Mommy!" yelled the girl in terror. She looked up only to see one of the girls standing above her. The girl put her finger up to her forehead.
"Good night!" said the attacker with an innocent smile. And fired.
Back With The Alpha League
"Run! Quick! They are here!" yelled Humatrix. They used their cards to teleport everyone to the main lobby.
They ran to one of the hero teams there. They were Trelenis. The team who ranked above them. Humatrix ran to their leader, Helkir. She looked humanoid, but had dark grey skin, and black hair. She wore a white suit along with a white cape. She looked at the team in shock.
"Alpha League. You guys are here!" she said as she tried took avoid the lasers.
"We need to evacuate everyone! Don't fight!" said Humatrix.
"Way ahead of you. But I can't let them follow you guys," said Helkir, "You evacuate everyone, and I'll keep them distracted. Don't argue with me about it!"
"Fine. But I'll stay. Night Mist stay with me as well. The rest of you guys must evacuate everyone else," said Humatrix.
She then charged into battle with the rest of her team.
Humatrix and Night Mist stayed while the rest of his team then started to teleport people out. Their powers were weakened due to the sisters presence, which seemed to be affecting everyone. Still the managed to teleport everyone outside. People were running in panic to their ships. Ships were flying everywhere as they got away from the carnage inside.
Inside Humatrix, Night Mist and Helkir stayed inside. The charged forward.
"So three people stand against us?" asked Exitium, "Let's see... you are a Raturlium, a new species huh, and... a Matrixian."
"We are Exitum and Extium. We let our important prey to at least know what killed them," said Exitum.
"And everyone else wasn't important!" yelled Helkir. She flew at high speeds and delivered a blow that was could surpass one from of Humatrix.
Humatrix and Night Mist then charged. The three attacked with their full might as they tried to distract them. This was not a fight to win, but to save as much as they could.
Suddenly Helkir received a mighty blow to the chest, and she was sent flying into the parking lot. She crashed with so much force, she felt her bones crack.
"Gah!" yelled Humatrix as he was sent crashing into the wall. He crashed right through, and felt a huge sting on his chest. He looked down and saw a gash on his chest that was having trouble healing.
"Humatrix!" yelled Night Mist. She then punched one of the sisters with all her might. The DNAs within her combined and allowed a mighty blow, but all it did was push Exitum back.
"This one is stronger than the rest," said Exitus. Suddenly Night Mist was attacked from behind.
"No!" yelled Night Mist as she felt Exitium stand behind her. Exitium's hands faze into her head. Night Mist screamed in pain.
"Keep going. It seems to cause more pain," said Exitus.
"STOP!" yelled Night Mist.
"Leave her alone!" yelled Humatrix as he crashed into Exitium. The opponents crashed outside. The sisters grabbed Humatrix and smashed him into the ground. Humatrix felt so much pain, and he spit out blood.
Night Mist laid inside, still squirming as the pain kept pounding in her head.
"You know, your kind was always such an annoyance," said Exitus. Her hand dug deep into Humatrix's chest. Humatrix tried to screamed but found that no sound came from his mouth.
"Matrixian were the ones that thought up that seal," said Exitium. She punched Humatrix in the face repeatedly. His blood covered the ground he laid on.
"Killing you for what you guys did... seems to simple," said Exitus. Before she could land another blow, Helkir drove her ship into them. Humatrix was blasted away and fell in the parking lot.
He saw in the distance how the sisters stood up from the rubble and grabbed Helkir. Then he screamed in horror as he saw them cut her in half and throw her away. He forced himself to stand as he tried walking to where Night Mist was. He barely managed to swing her over his shoulder and began heading out for the exit.
With The Rest Of The Team
"Is everyone out?" asked Nighto.
"Yes. There are a few abandoned ships, and the Alpha Juggernaut is already started," said Mystican.
"Alright Flame, go and set the coordinates," said Frostbite.
"Yeah. I'll go. Keep an eye out for the others," said Flame. He ran into the ship and prepared to set the coordinates.
Suddenly they saw as the hotel exploded, rubble flying everywhere. The team saw as Hunatrix tripped over, trying to reach them, Night Mist unconscious as he carried her.
"Holy- Humatrix!" yelled Beyonder. The team ran towards them. As soon as he saw his team, Humatrix collapsed on the ground.
"Help!" yelled a voice behind Humatrix. They looked behind and saw a boy with dark skin, one black eye and blue eye. He had a gash on his chest from where one of the sisters attacked him.
"Who are you?" asked Skeleton Mark as he ran over to him and helped him over.
"I'm Kairu. I was here when they attacked. I can't believe this is happening," said the stranger.
"Come with us," said Frostbite. Immediately the team began walking over the the Juggernaut.
"Come," said Alvero as he helped Kairu walk.
But were stopped when the ground between was parted in two.
The group turned around and saw the sisters behind them.
"Trying to run?" said Exitus jokingly. Exitium the used her power and sent the Alpha Juggernaut flying away.
"Guys! Help!" yelled Flame as he crashed inside as the ship spun away.
"Flame!" yelled Frostbite.
"Don't worried about him," said Exitus as she then blasted the side of the ship. Flame as sent flying into the panel, activating it. The engine started and Flame was sent flying at high speeds.
"Crud. The ship got away!" yelled Genos.
"Go into that ship!" said Skeleton Mark as he pointed to a green abandoned ship in the distance.
"What about you?" asked Beyonder.
"Don't worry! Just go!" yelled Skeleton Mark. The team quickly loaded into the ship and turned to see their friend one last time. Before they could do something, Professor Mark shut the door and started the engine. The ship blasted away at high speeds.
"Alright, I fought this battle once, I can do it again," said Skeleton Mark. He took out his scythe and pointed it at the sisters.
"Alexander Morte? You again?" said Exitus.
"You didn't make a move to stop them? Why!?" yelled Skeleton Mark.
"It makes the hunt more interesting. We only kill immediately if it not worth the trouble," said Exitium.
"Where is your other half Death? We only get to fight the nice one?" said Exitus.
"Y-you won't get past me!" yelled Skeleton Mark and charged in. He swing his scythe as he tried to attack the most he could. Instead he received a barrage of attacks, and he felt his bones break with every blow.
"You are not that entertaining," said Exitus as she grabbed his scythe.
"I am not as weak as others think!" yelled Skeleton Mark as he kicked her in the face, blasting her away but doing no damage.
"Oh shut up!" said Exitium as she dug her hand into his chest. Skeleton Mark screamed in pain as he felt himself being split apart.
"It hurts, doesn't it? But don't worry, we will end you pain soon. Then you can reunite with your other side again right?" said Exitium.
"No! Anything but that!" yelled Skeleton Mark, "I don't want to be joined with him again!"
"Good by Alexander. Such a blissful meeting," said Exitium as she ripped him apart. A pillar of darkness shot into the sky, and disappeared from the Infiniverse.
On The Alpha Juggernaut
"Need to get to the controls!" said Flame, who had been blasted to the back of the ship when it took of. He was trying to pull himself towards the control center, but since the door behind him was slightly opened, he had trouble getting to the front. The ship made an endless supply of oxygen so that wasn't a worry. But Flame hadn't managed to change the coordinates correctly, and they were changed to the ones headed Regnonium.
"Come on! Shut the door!" yelled Flame as he tried but missed to push the button. Suddenly the ship's warning lights turned on.
"Headed Into A Time Anomaly," said the ship.
"Oh great. Now what!?" yelled Flame. Suddenly he felt as the ship flew right into the anomaly. It shook violently, and outside the windows there were flashes of color as the ship flew right through the anomaly.
"There we go!" said Flame as he managed to close the door. He walked over the controls and put on the seatbelt. He looked up and saw he was out of the anomaly. The lights ship turned off, and the controls didn't respond. The ships main engine shut off and it slowed down, but the ship still went at high speeds.
"Nothing work! The systems are fried!" yelled Flame. Suddenly he saw a massive planet in the distance. The emergency engine turned on and tried to slow down the ship. But it entered the planet's gravity and was pulled down.
"Oh crud! Help!" yelled Flame as the ship went through the atmosphere. The ship was engulfed in flames on the outside. Flame's eyes widened as he saw a beautiful landscape, with rivers, forests, plains and many more things. In the distance he saw what looked like a massive city.
"Wait, I can't stop the ship!" yelled Flame. He pulled up the steering controls, and the ships flaps on the wings lifted the front of the ship, but before Flame could respond, the ship smashed right onto the ground. Flame saw as dirt was pushed away and trees broke as he crashed into a forest. The ship slid across the ground at high speeds until in reached a boulder and crashed.
"I-I think I'm gonna hurl..." said Flame. He walked to the backdoor dizzily and saw that it had fallen off. He walked over to it and collapsed on the ground.
He couldn't move due to exhaustion, and he felt soreness all over his body. He collapsed on the ground face up.
"I'm going to rest here," said Flame as he laid there on the ground. After a few minutes, while still on the ground, Flame turned his head to see where he landed.
"Wow," he said as he saw a huge city in the distance. It was huge, made of black metal and circular in shape. A large palace stood in the middle. Immediately from seeing the palace, Flame knew where he landed. He was in Regnonium. In the past.
