Location: Alpha League Base In The Space Between Universes

The Alpha League had returned to their base, that was in the space between universes. They had returned from the Abyss Union's station, that had been left until the found some way to completely destroy it. It had been left under a protective barrier made by Humatrix and Mist. They had healed the best they could. Flame's eye was healed, and most of the members were healed as well. Even Genos' arms were repaired. The team were also followed by Elena, who had said she was related to Overdrive. Not even Humatrix could figure out where she came from, but he could sense no danger from her.

The team arrived to their base, were Nighto, and Johnathen sitting next to her.

"Hey guys, how the mission go?" asked Nighto.

"We... had better," said Flame opening his hoodie to show the huge scar on his chest.

"Umm... who is that?" asked Nighto pointing at Elena.

"She is Elena, she says she is somehow related to Overdrive," said Humatrix.

"Overdrive... has a sister?" asked Nighto.

"Nighto... no. She has met him before apparently," said Mystican.

"So what did you guys find?" asked John.

------An Hour Later------

"What!?" yelled Nighto in shock, "Overdrive is gone!? How can that be possible!?"

"When it was all over, Overdrive and Negamatrix had just disappeared, along with a fifth of the base."

"But Overdrive and Negamatrix would end up in an eternal battle right? How could this happen?" asked Nighto.

"I have no idea. Beings like us usually end up in an eternal conflict, but thanks to Overdrive we managed to get the advantage, but he never told us how he managed to defeat Negamatrix, if he defeated him," said Humatrix.

"I am responsible for his defeat," said Elena. The team turned around in shock.

"What do you mean? He is a Matrixian, how could he have been defeated," asked Humatrix.

"When Overdrive got hit by Negamatrix's ultimate attack, that is exactly like yours, I deviated all the energy and anti-energy from hitting Overdrive. But he did take damage do to all the pressure, but he survived. When Overdrive attacked, I charged up his attack with his, Negamatrix, and a small amount of your power Humatrix," explained Elena.

"I-impossible, how can anyone do that?" asked Night Mist in shock.

"I will reveal all in time, but right now we must wait until the storm comes," said Elena, her face as expressionless as ever.

"What storm?" asked Frostbite.

"That I cannot say, for it goes against the law, but you must trust me and wait," said Elena, "Do not search for Overdrive, you will find him soon."

The room was completely quiet, but the silence was disturbed when a voice spoke.

"I don't like her presence partner," said a voice behind Nighto.

"Shut it," said Nighto.

Location: Unknown

Overdrive found himself on the ground. All around him was a darkness, and the floor he was standing on was pitch black, but he could still feel it underneath him. He got up, but as soon as he stood up, he felt something wrong.

"What the... AHH!" yelled Overdrive as he looked at his hands. He had white gloves on, but when he took them off they revealed soft, human skin.

"What is this!? I don't like looking human!" yelled Overdrive. A mirror appeared in front of him. Even with no light, he could see himself and the mirror clearly. He had neon blue hair and eyes. He wore a black hooded robe, with a neon blue shirt, black pants and boots. He could feel a heart pumping blood across his human body.

"What is this? This can't be real!" said Overdrive looking into the mirror.

"I am afraid it is true," said a female voice behind Overdrive. Overdrive turned around, and his eyes widened. Behind him stood non other than Elena, just like she looked when she met him years ago. She had a smile on her face, but it felt... empty. Her eyes were empty as well, despite her face showing happiness. Unlike before, she wore an elegant white and yellow dress.

"E-Elena... you are here?" said Overdrive in shock, "B-but you are..."

"Dead? This form, it is not alive, it is not dead, it is not both," said the young Elena. "It is... an anomaly."

"Why are you here?" asked Overdrive, his body trembling.

"I meed to show you something," said Elena, as she pushed Overdrive into a portal.

"What the- Flame!" yelled Overdrive as he floated in space, just in time to see as a grey monster made a hole in Flame's chest. Flame fell back into he broken Infiniversal Bridge, a dark puddle forming under him.
Overdrive tried to help him, but he found himself trapped in an invisible barrier. He tried punching it, but no matter what he did, it wouldn't break. He stepped back, a tear forming under one his eyes.

"No, NO!" yelled Overdrive.

"A shame isn't it," said Elena, who had appeared behind Overdrive.

"Why do you show me this- this illusion!" yelled Overdrive.

"It is no illusion, all of this is real," said Elena, "This has really happened."

"No way," said Overdrive, "I was not there to stop it."

"You are there," said Elena.

"What do you mean?" asked Overdrive.

"Right there, that is you," said Elena pointing at the grey monster that rampaged across the Infiniverse.

"No, you lie," said Overdrive trembling. "That is... that is not me! You are a fake! An illusion by Negamatrix trying to mess with me! Taking the face of Elena, and showing me this- this thing!"

"It is not an illusion, I am not a fake," said Elena, "And you know that."

"But why is this happening!? There must be a way to stop this!" yelled Overdrive.

"There is one way," said Elena, a portal appearing behind her.

"What is that?" asked Overdrive.

"This will take you to where you need to go," said Elena. She held her hand out.

"Will you go with me?" she asked. Overdrive stood there for a second, but then grabbed her hand, and went through the portal to the unknown.

Everyone in the Alpha League. In you stories, Overdrive looks like normal, so he has no face. This means he shows no emotion, even if he has them. This human look will not be seen in any other chapter but the one in this book during this Arc.
