The Kingpin had explained their plans, and after everything had been done, Overdrive left as quickly as possible. Somewhere on the other side of the island, there was the hidden lab. Who it belonged to, Overdrive didn't know, they never said his name. But it didn't matter, what mattered was activating the machine. From what Overdrive could figure, if he activated the machine before the Kingpin and his gang got there, he could bring Genos' parents into this universe. And then the rest would take care of itself.

Overdrive walked the empty streets of the island, and it had begun to rain again.

"This is not gonna help my cold," said Overdrive as he put his hood up. He entered the small hotel, and went to the room where he and Elena were staring at. Overdrive entered the room, and laid down on his bed. He would have to wake up early, so he could get to the lab before the Kinpin, who would leave at night. Normally the Kingpin wouldn't be the one to get his hands dirty, but considering the power that was at stake, he couldn't risk someone getting it instead of him.

Overdrive looked at the ceiling for a while, and then turned his head to look at Elena. She looked like a child, a bit older than when Overdrive had first met her, she looked like a year older. Overdrive wondered why her. Why of all people was she there to guide him? As he pondered his question, Overdrive fell asleep.

Overdrive was walking around a village where people were celebrating. Unlike his usual Infinisapien appearance, Overdrive looked like a knight in plated armor. He was on a massive planet filled with forests, and few villages that were scattered across the world. It was a peaceful world, no wars, no conflict, it was completely peaceful.

He looked like a knight since people of that world had a legend of a knight who had saved the world from a flaming monster that came from the sun. After that, Overdrive had pretended to be the knight of the legend, who people said had hidden in the forests. He pretended to be the knight for a kind reason, it had been for a little girl who had searched for the knight in the forest, and instead had found Overdrive. And that girl walked up to him now.

"Knight! Knight!" yelled the girl. Overdrive turned around to see a girl wearing a white dress, she had blonde hair and was barefoot. Her blue eyes and faced were full of happiness.

"Hello Elena," said Overdrive as he turned around to looked at the girl.

"Knight! Would you play with us?" she asked as she pointed at some kinds that were a small distance away.

"Sure, I'll play with you all," said Overdrive. He and the kids played for a while, until the sky had turned orange. Later the people started a big bonfire in the center of the village. Everyone seemed happy and the adults were dancing, and the kids all were enjoying the celebration. Elena sat next to Overdrive, and they watched the bonfire.

"Knight, what is you real name?" asked Elena.

"I... don't remember my real name, but I call myself Overdrive," said Overdrive.

"Overdrive? Why?" asked Elena.

"I call myself that because when I need to fight, I have to increase my power, in other words, going into overdrive," he said. Now that he thought about it, it was kinda silly.

"Why would anyone need to fight?" asked Elena.

"Somewhere in the stars, there can be bad people, and good people want to protect others, so that is why I do. I am one of those protectors," said Overdrive.

"You said you don't remember your real name?" asked Elena.

"Yes, why?" asked Overdrive.

"How about I call you... Lux. It means light," said Elena.

"Lux? Sounds nice," said Overdrive.

"Hey, want to play hide and seek?" asked Elena.

"Isn't it getting dark?" asked Overdrive.

"Don't worry Lux, nothing out there will harm us," said Elena as she playfully tugged at Overdrive's arm.

"Hmm... okay. I'll play with you and the others," said Overdrive. Elena smiled and got the others, who were eager to play. Overdrive then covered his eyes, and counted to ten.

"And... ten. Ready or not, here I-" said Overdrive, but was interrupted by what he saw. All around him, the village was on fire. There were no people, but screams could be heard in the distance.

"No... no! Why is this happening again!?" yelled Overdrive, as he suddenly remembered everything.

"Elena! ELENA!" yelled Overdrive as he ran towards the body of Elena, who was on the ground. Overdrive looked at her, and he could see she wasn't breathing, and her heart had stopped.

"No... please not again," said Overdrive.

"It's your fault you know?" said a voice from behind Overdrive. He turned around to see a skeleton wearing a dark robe. One side of him was made of black bones and had a red glow in the eye socket, the other half was made of white bones, and a really dim blue light.

"You failed to save everyone! And no matter what you do, you can't bring her soul back! Not even if you traveled back in time! Look around! This is all your fault!" yelled the skeleton.

"SHUT UP!" yelled Overdrive as he punched the skeleton. The skeleton was pushed back, but it didn't fall. It then split in two, a white skeleton and a black skeleton. The white skeleton turned to dust, while the other one just stared at him silence.

"You did this!" yelled Overdrive as he ran towards the skeleton, and tried to punch him, but all he hit was air.

Overdrive turned around, and found himself in a massive room made of metal. The room could probably fit an entire sky scraper. He looked around, and in the distance he saw his friends, but something was wrong. Their images were distorted, and soon they didn't look like his friends anymore. They were the Abyss Union.

"Come on Dark Matter, our job is done. We destroyed that stupid hero team," said Negamatrix.

"What do you mean!?" yelled Overdrive.

"What the heck is wrong with you? We finished the plan, the Alpha League is dead, you helped kill her" said Mysterium.

"Kill her?" said Overdrive in shock as he looked down at his hands, which instead looking like his usual black metallic color with glowing blue circles on the palms, they were metallic white with red glowing circles.

"I am Dark Matter?" said Overdrive in shock. He backed away, but he tripped on something, and he fell back. He got up to see what he had tripped on, and yelled in terror. In front of him was a dead Night Mist.

"I... failed!" yelled Overdrive.

"Fail? No you didn't, you killed her, that was your job," said Hellfire.

"I didn't kill her!" yelled Overdrive.

"Don't you get it? You killed us all," said the Abyss Union all together. Their images distorted, and they turned into a massive grey monster, with black lines across it's body, and red glowing eyes and mouth.

"Stay away!" yelled Overdrive, but then from the monster's back sprouted tendrils which circled Overdrive and took hold of him. The monster then started to slowly absorb Overdrive. He screamed as his started to sink into the monster's stomach.

"No! Let me out! Save me!" yelled Overdrive as his was submerged into the monster.

"HELP!" yelled Overdrive as he woke up. He looked like a human again, and he was covered in a cold sweat.

"What's wrong!?" yelled Elena as she ran to him, "You stared screaming out of nowhere!"

"It's... it's fine," said Overdrive as he wiped the cold sweat away, "Just a nightmare."

"Overdrive, are you really okay?" she asked.

"I am fine Elena, thanks," he said as he the hugged Elena.

"You... you are welcome Lux," said Elena as she hugged Overdrive.
