XLVI: Dwindling Spell
Third Person's Point of View
She was trying to avert her full attention in front by appreciating every bit of nature's pulchritude despite everything that's happening.
But no matter how hard she tried, nababalik at nababalik pa rin ang buo niyang atensyon sa nararamdaman niya.
At the moment, she is spending most of her time under the same tree she always love to hangout. The normal weather never came back ever since that loud bang echoed across the realm. The wind was cooler than ever.
The waves of the ocean somehow managed to calm but not as peace as before. Aggressiveness deep in the water is still there she is sure. And the people underwater felt unsafe, isolated themselves from the harsh current. She can feel them.
Heshiena looked at the horizon.
There's that whispering sound, but she was sure it was caused by the wind. There was no sun, no moon and the stars. It was empty, only the black clouds remained.
Her hands fidgeted with the hem of her tunic, and her gaze darted toward every flicker of movement in the periphery.
Kakaiba. It was the same inexplicable sensation she'd felt countless times before—a primal instinct, a whisper of the universe seem warning her of impending danger.
She was there supposedly appreciating the beauty of nature, but it seem now's not the right time.
Napatayo siya sa pagkakaupo. The frozen chair she manipulated melted as he walks back and forth and forth. While biting her nails, trying to figure out of what's coming.
"Something's not right . . ." She gasped in surprise as she saw a flash of vision of the golden apples. Mas lalong kumunot ang kaniyang noo. "Whenever I feel this way, walang mangyayaring maganda."
There she saw both Fuego and Erin seem flabbergasted over something she don't know. Kumunot ang kaniyang noo.
A couple of second after, their expression changed. According to what she understood, they were both angry. Humiwalay ang dalawa sa isa't isa. Tila ba'y nagkalabuan. But deep within their eyes, Chry know that there's still something lingering inside that make them furious.
She immediately averted her gaze as Erin walked away in the kitchen. Fuego, on the other hand, removed all the shattered glasses on the floor.
"What's happening with the people?" she slightly surprised when Ace's face greeted her. "Does my face that frightening to you?" He made a puppy eyes which Chry couldn't handle herself because of how it make him cuter.
Your face is too close to mine!" Lumayo siya sa lalaki.
Ace was about to follow her when she glared. Instead of bugging her further, he grabbed the mirror and immerse himself again with his own beauty.
Heshiena was still outside, perhaps contemplating over things that slowed her down for reaching the peace she always hoped for.
Her eyes grew wider in surprise as she saw the similar expression on everyone's faces. Except Mavros who was peacefully sitting near the sliding door. He was spacing out, hard to reach his attention.
She narrowed her eyes at everyone around her, trying to figure out further.
But she couldn't find the concrete answers to what she is looking for. Only she could see their obvious furious expression that plastered upon their faces.
Due to Chry's cavernous desire of finding where these emotions are coming from, she didn't notice Mavros is nowhere to be found.
"You don't have the right to call her that, Dion!" Yumi confronted Dion.
Dion's eyes fell to the floor. But he was clenching his fist as if suppressing himself or blurting something that might further hurt them both.
Dion's eyes turned to her, making her forehead furrowed in curiosity. Dion scoffed in distaste.
"If I made a mistake of calling her that way, you don't have to insult me too, Yumi . . ." Dion finally spoke, his voice evident that he was deeply hurt. "You don't have to recall how my brother died in the hands of my father. You should've corrected me if I crossed that line, right?"
Chry was surprised by his voice gradually cracking as if tears were threatening him to fall upon his eyes. She wasn't supposed to hear these things. It's personal.
Out of the corner of her eyes, Yumi couldn't find the words to utter. Her fury remained consistent. Dion released a disappointing sigh before walking out.
"Blei, please talk to me . . ." Blaze pleaded under his breath.
What left him speechless when seeing her crying. Tears that are seem a river. Luhang hindi alam kung kailan hihinto.
"Blaze, what's more to say when you already said your piece?!"
It was the first time Blei raised her voice in anger. And Blaze was shivering in fear and regret. After that encounter, Blei never waited for Blaze's next remark.
Dash and Nkri entered the cabin, both in silence.
On the corner, Zuki was busy calling someone.
And deep inside, it was hurtful seeing them faltering.
But Chry believed in them that they would eventually reconcile. Everything needs time. It is when you are ready to face it again and talk about it.
He was about to asked him when he groaned in pain while touching his head.
Chry noticed the pink glow in Ace's eyes as if a spell finally wears off.
A rush of memories then followed.
It was a situation where Chry caught Ace was having fun with a girl from Nero City. And of how clingy she was to him. She couldn't bear that sight causing her to attack the girl out of jealousy.
Dahil sa ginawa niya, nagulat si Ace.
Even coming to the point when he called her "monster".
Chry never waited herself to utter a spiteful words to insult him back, instead walking out with a heavy heart.
Nagkatinginan silang dalawa ni Ace.
Ace's face softened, trying to approach.
But she was so frightened of hearing that word again, she took a two step backward.
This time, it was a memory of someone making them undergone reconciliation without their own will. The anger gradually surging within her.
"What was she thinking?" she asked herself in disbelief. "Forcing this matter that instant is unorthodox. Goes against what is natural."
With her fury, Chry is longing for a confrontation.
Even her personal memories seemed shared with everyone. Alaalang kaniyang kinalimutan. A memory when she became what she really is not. A monster who only abides its master to do his bidding. Even killing people to please him.
She scanned the surroundings within reach of her eyes. They were looking, and deep within those eyes lies the fear of seeing her mercilessly blowing people's head with her body bathing with their blood.
Napakuyom siya ng kaniyang kamao. Nagtagis ang kaniyang bagang. Along with what she was feeling, lumagapak ang napakalakas na kidlat at kulog.
What is their fault to deserve this?
It was an invasion of privacy for fucking's sake!
