Emma POV

I wake up in the early evening alone in bed in my dark room. Thank goodness for black out shades because I needed that nap. I sit up and stretch and get out of bed. I go to the bathroom and wash my hands and look at myself in the mirror. I don't look to bad, so I brush my hair and let it just lay on my shoulders and down my back. I brush my teeth and wash my face and once I am done, I walk out of my suite and head to the elevator and go to the first floor and I am greeted with cheerful voices and laughter. A lot of pack members greet me, and I greet them back and stop to chat with some. It feels good to be home, I have missed my family.

"Thank you for all your kind words, they mean a lot to me. If in the next week you want to come and speak to me about any worries you have or just bring me up to speed on your lives, please feel free to. Tomorrow though is a busy day. We have about five hundred more members coming and the next week after that, at least another two thousand as those that are in Europe will be here, so we have a lot to do. I expect everyone to help get houses built and ready for them. After they get here, we will have close to five thousand members which will make us the strongest pack in the world. I believe in all of you to help and make this run smoothly and yes, I am sure there will be tension and some drama because not everyone will get along but if any issues occur, I expect to be informed right away. The Alpha King Zander and his beta Exavier are here so please show them the same respect as you show me which I am sure you already do. It is nice to be home, I have missed you all so much. Thank you for all you have done while I was away, that means the world to me. I love you all!" I said to everyone and they all bowed their heads and said they loved me too. I smiled and went into the kitchen and the site in front of me makes me laugh.

"What is going on in here?" I asked and five men look at me at the same time and smile innocent smiles which is adorable.

"We wanted to help cook dinner Alpha Emma!" Tony cheers and I smile at his cuteness.

"I can see that but ah Tony?"

"Yes?"

"It really helps to make sure the food stays in the pots and pans to make the meal sweetheart." I said and laughed at his face. He has flour on his cheeks and shirt.

"I know! You can blame the guys for this! Steve started it!" He teases Steve and earns a flick in the nose and a peck on the cheek from Steve.

"It's all good. At least you're having fun. Just make sure you clean the mess alright. You boys made it; you clean it." I said firmly pointing my finger at them and they smiled and nodded.

Zander walks over to me and wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me into him.

"Are you alright Emma?" he whispered.

"I'm not sure Zander, ask me in a few days after all this is taken care of and I had time to think of what Brant had done." I whispered back and he kissed my forehead.

"I am so sorry." He said and I felt tears form in my eyes and I sigh and squeeze him tighter. His warmth is so soothing, and his scent is calming.

"Hey Emma!" Aaron said and I looked over at him and he smiled at me and hits play on the iPod dock and I hear "We Got It Goin On" by the Backstreet Boys.

(Gosh they were so young!) 

"Let's do this Aaron!" I said and took his hand and went to the middle of the floor and started dancing and singing along to the song. I even get Zander and the others to join in our silly dance and song. Once it's over I hug Aaron.

"Thank you." Is all I need to say, and he nods and kissed my cheek.

"He knows me very well, that's all you need to know for now." I said when I noticed Zander's look on his face and smiled at him. I sit at the island and watch them cook dinner and taste whatever food is on the island that is already done. We make small talk about our time in London to Steve and Tony and I find myself relaxing even more and letting my pain take a backseat at the moment.

A few hours later I'm still in my office going over paperwork for the new members who are coming in the morning and Zander is reading a book on the couch and Aaron is helping me go through the files and Exavier is also reading a book but in the chair beside Aaron.

"Aaron? Do you have the monthly report on the finances yet?" I asked not even looking up and a file appears in front of me and I nod and open it and go over all the finances and I sigh in frustration.

"Did you happen to look at it by chance?" I asked and this time I looked up at him and he shook his head no.

"Not yet, it was a few files down from the ones I have to go through, why what's wrong with it?" He asked as he stood up and came to stand beside me and leaning down to look at the file.

"Well it seems that somehow the funds for school supplies and gas are very low. I know I had put extra cash in those accounts because of the new members but I also know how much should have been spent on the school supplies because I drew a budget with Tony and I had it set up that there would be extra in case they need some extra things that they will need through out the first semester of school but somewhere that extra cash is missing and I don't know where it went." I said looking over the pages to figure out where the extra funds went. Aaron looks at the file and goes to his stack and pulls out another and hands it to me.

"This is what I just looked over, it's the funds for the food supply that was spent today, and they also had to cut the supply shorter because it wasn't enough for some reason. I have no idea why this report is separate from the finances file anyways. Someone tried to hide it is what it looks like."

"So, someone is stealing basically is what you are saying." I say bluntly and he nods slowly.

"Seems like it. Money is missing from three different accounts and one report isn't with the others, what does that tell you Emma? I will have a team to investigate this and find out what happened."

I stand up and open my office door and call out for Tony and Steve. A few minutes and they are in my office.

"Tony, have you maybe noticed some strange things with the finances while I was away?" I asked him flat out and he lowers his gaze and frowns.

"Yes, I did. I noticed it almost right away when Luna Brant was here one night late in the evening going over those files and it struck me as odd because no funds were taken out of the accounts yet because the members aren't here yet to buy the food for the homes or school supplies and the vehicles aren't here to fill up with gas so I wondered why he was looking over them when we had done that before you left so I knew what was in the files and he didn't even spare me a look or ask me to help him with it."

"Ok thanks Tony. Steve, has he gone out and bought anything that would have equaled a few thousand dollars weather it be small items or something big?"

"Not that I have seen no. I'm sorry but do you really think he stole that money?"

"Honestly I don't know Steve, I didn't think he would end up in bed with another woman and do the things he has done so I have to think he is capable of this, even if I don't want to think of him being dishonest when it comes to the pack."

I open my laptop and log into my online bank account, and I can't get into it.

"Seems he changed the information to log into the account so I can't even see if he has transferred the funds to his own account or somewhere else. This is a nightmare. It's to late to call the back so now I have to do that in the morning and take care of this fucking mess now."

"You just call to get the information to where you can log back in and I will handle the rest. You have too much to do so let me handle this, alright? That's what I'm here for." Aaron said and he hugged me and I sighed and nodded.

"Thanks Aaron. This has given me a headache so I'm going to go to bed, it's late and I have a long day ahead of me. Zander, for now until things blow over with Brant and I see what is going on with us, please sleep in one of the guest rooms. I just need some time, alright?" I asked looking over at him and he smiles softly at me and I walk over to him and he stands up and wraps his arms around my waist and he hugs me softly.

"No problem beautiful. Go get some rest and I will see you in the morning. Good night sleep sweet darling." He said and kissed me so softly that I felt my heart flutter at the softness of his kiss and the soft embrace.

"Good night." I said breathless and walked out of my office after I put my files away and went to my suite and changed and went to bed. Tomorrow is going to be one hell of a day!
