LINK POV

I was in my room watching tv and was laying on my bed.

Oh, let me introduce myself my name is Link and I am the son of the Beta of my Pack. You see I'm the youngest member in my family and I have an older brother that will be taking over as the new Beta when my dad retires.

You see, our Pack is named the Midnight Pack. You see the reason we are called that is because our first Alpha that made this Pack was a female and her name was Midnight and when she died they named the Pack after her to remember her and what she had done to make this Pack.

Oh and I almost forgot to tell you I'm not a werewolf. I know it sounds hard to believe since my family and pack are werewolves, but I'm not a werewolf. For some odd reason I'm a cat.

I am not a big cat, I'm just a regular size house cat and I have black and orange fur with some white mixed in and I have green eyes.

And since I'm the only cat in the pack I got picked on by a few people, but my big brother protected me from almost everything.

And my mom and dad are protective over me as well.

My mom likes to baby me and always goes Gaga for my cat form and how cute it is.

Dad likes to keep me safe from people that don't like me.

And my older brother's name is Jake and he has already found his mate. Her name is Jessica and she is an Omega. They met at high school my brother was a football player and Jessica was a book nerd and they fell instantly in love when they both felt the mating bond. And they have already mated. They mated on their graduation party. And their still happy.

But sadly, I haven't found my mate and yes I may not have a wolf form, but every shifter has a mate no matter animal it is. And my mate isn't in my pack.

"Kiddo, lunch time" dad says.

"Coming"

I then get up and walk downstairs and join my family and we eat.

"Don't forget son we have that meeting tomorrow with the neighborhood Packs" dad says.

"I remember dad" Jake says "and your coming too" Jake points to me.

"Me? But I'm not a Beta and only Alphas and Betas and the future Alpha and Beta go to those" I said.

"I talked it over with the Alpha and since you do have Beta blood in you" dad says "he said you can go"

"And who knows, maybe you'll find your mate as well" Jake says.

"I doubt it" I said "I was supposed to find my mate at my 16th birthday and nothing happened and now I'm 19 years old and still nothing" I sigh "I don't think my mate is here on this planet yet"

"Now don't talk like that" mom says "I'm sure he or she is out there somewhere and I bet who ever it is. Is looking for you too and who knows" he takes a drink "your mate could be at this meeting since there will be a lot of people there"

"Your mother's right" dad says "there will be 10 packs coming to this meeting and maybe your mate is one of them"

"Ok" I said "but I'm not getting my hopes up because it may not happen"

"Fair enough, but don't loose all hope just yet" dad says.

After we finished eating we went to do our own thing.

When I got to my room and shifted into my cat form and went on my bed and curled into a ball and went to sleep.
