This was so cool! I had powers!

"Is that a good thing?" I asked as I tried to cover up my worry. Was I normal? If not do I even have a mate? Is that why everyone apart from Misty and Avery treat me different. I had always felt alone.

"Yes and no. There should be no such thing as power shifters but there is!" She explained. I loved Misty. See always seemed to understand me. She had no one. Her father died and then her mother kicked her out. Her mother was a part of this pack and when she kicked Misty out, Misty came to Ryan who helped her. Her mother is still in the pack but Misty is higher up in the pack. "You really should develop powers when your wolf shows itself. Soon I will have to tell the king. I have kept it off. I should have told him when you first started showing the signs of power. The king would have thought you were a danger so I didn't. You were no harm but your powers are showing...... err.... well they aren't just affecting the pack. Humans seem to affected and other werewolves too. When you were younger it only seemed to be the pack the powers worked on so the Elders and the power shifters in our pack agreed to let this development are hidden from the king."

"Misty... Will my powers become stronger? Will I be able to control them?" I asked. I was getting scared. What if they lock me up! I was only 10!

"I don't know sweet! But I'm going to inform the king when you turn 11 next week! Okay? You should be old enough to be sent to the school if they wish. He may want you to be sent to him in till you are 13 or shift and then send you to the school! Do not worry Rohanna he is a lovely man! He has a daughter of around your age and a son about 2 years older than you." She said. I don’t want to be sent away! I hoped and prayed to the triple goddess they would not send me away. It would be down to Avery and Ryan anyway. They would say if I went or not. In less the king really wanted me!

"But...."

"Rohanna it would be like a holiday! Anyway who said he was going to send you away? Now go play!" Misty ordered and I obeyed. I ran out of the house and into the woods. I felt a burning in my chest. My wolf wanted out! But I could not let her run as we had never shifted.

Fionnoula what is wrong? I asked my wolf.

I don't know! I want to run and be free. There is this burning. She explained to me. I felt a pain like someone pushing a knife very slowly into my gut. There was something wrong. I fell to the dirt covered ground because of the pain. Everything was going red then blue suddenly I felt a sharp bolt of power in my arm. It run right to my arm. I looked down to my hand were it lay on the woodland floor. It had turned bright red. It looked like someone had split blood or some other red liquid on my hand.

It burned like fire. What was going on? I felt my heart skip a beat as I watched my right hand in shock. The pain increased. I screamed but no one would hear me in here. I was in the woods. The house was sound proof and no one came into the woods at this time. They would be eating or chatting. Was I going to die here? The pain was that bad I wish for death to take me. I did not know what was happening to me! Fionnoula would not answer my calls and the pain was in increasing by each tick of the invisible clock.

I could not move my arm at all. I heard one of my bones break and I tasted blood in my mouth. I must have bitten my cheek. There was so much pain. I just wanted to close my eyes and never wake up. I couldn't die I was only 10. Was my last thought as I fell into a pit of nothingness. I felt nothing as I passed into the darkness of my death.

I was dead and alone!

Avery's POV

I watched Connor carefully as he fell over his pointless words.

"I never.... I mean..... No I.... err... I'm sorry.....they are.... I don't know where to start!" He finally said. Why was I even listening to this dick?

"Well I don't care what you have to say to me so start anywhere!" I said in a cold and flat voice. I saw pain rush through his golden eyes but I did not care about him anymore. That family had made my life hell!

"I am sorry Avery for what happen in the past.... I did not mean for you to ever get hurt but they were going to kill you if I didn't.... No it doesn't matter.... I should have stopped them but I was a dick!"

"You got that right! Why are you here Logan? Or Connor whatever you want to be called!" I asked

"I wanted to see if you had gotten away and was living any better! Which I can see you are. Luna of a pack! But not just any the BloodMoon pack! The most powerful apart from the king's pack, RoyalMoon!"

"Is that all?"

"No.... you are in danger....." He was cut off by a painful scream.

"What the..." I said looking towards the woods where it had come from. My heart was beating so fast as I listen. The woods were silent again but there was something wrong. The woods seemed to hum with power. An unknown power! I felt a burning pain on my right wrist. I look to see a mark being formed. But it wasn't a mark but words... They said;

There are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls...

It was written like it was a scar or a tattoo. It bunt like I had placed my hand in boiling water or in a camp fire.

"What is that on your arm?" Connor asked me.

"I don't know!" I snapped. "But it is fucking burning! I think it may have something to do with my powers!" I said as Connor gave out a gasp too. I looked at him but he was looking at his left arm. In the same place as mine Connor also had; there are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls... Written on his arm.

"Yeah I see what you mean! This fucking hurts!" I saw him close his eyes in pain. "I feel like it is pulling me to the woods! I feel like I want to shift or use my powers!" He said

"Do you think it is just us?" I asked as the pain slowly disappeared like someone had passed out or they had ended there life. That is what it felt like. I felt a heavy weight upon my heart and a sadness that could not be explained. I felt worry and something else.

"Avery lets go inside. Call that misty girl and I'll get Riley too!" Connor said as we ran back to the house.

We both ran into the living room to see both Misty and Riley together holding their arms. Riley holding her right and Misty holding her left.

"Avery!" Misty shouted.

"Misty have you-"

"- Words written on your arm!" Misty cut in. "Yeah! I have and Riley has tWhat does your say?"

"There are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls” I read off my arm.

“Yeah ours does too! I also feel a pull to the woods!" Riley said.

"Yeah!" Connor agreed. I nodded with Misty. We then heard a scream from upstairs. It was so high pitched.

"OH MY GOD!!!" They screamed. We all looked at each other and ran to whoever was screaming. We reached the door to see Gracey screaming at her arm!

"OH MY GOD! THERE IS WRITING! OMG!!!!!"

"Shut it Gracey!" Misty said walking into her room and grabbing her arm to look. She too had the writing!

"OMG what going to happen to me!" She cried!

"We have it too!" Misty said. "All of us with Powers do!"

"What about Rohanna?" Riley asked.

"What that little brat doesn't have powers! She made it up!" Gracey said.

"No! She does! The most powerful out of all us! When she was a baby an Elder with powers had to put this thing on her to stop her blowing up the pack house. Her powers are too strong for herself. She hasn't learnt to control them and she a danger to us all right now!! She killed her mother! She was crying but something happen and her mother suddenly died. No one knows what happen! But as a bad

baby she could kill with one touch!  one is to tell her this! Okay?" Misty explained and we all nodded even Gracey who seemed scared.

"What does the writing mean?" Gracey asked. "I feel a pull to the woods!" We all nodded in agreement.

"We need to inform the King!" Said Misty. We all nodded again.

"I think we should follow the pull!" Riley said.

"Why?" Asked Connor.

"I don't know but my wolf says we should!" We all agreed to follow this pull. The pull was like someone had tried a golden rope around us all and was pulling us!

We were in the woods for about an hour when......

Rohanna's POV

I gasped for air as my wolf pulled me back from the dead. I had never seen death before but today I did! Today I died. There was still a burning in my right arm but not as bad as the burning in the rest of my small body. My skin was covered in sweat as what felt like hundreds of needles being stabbed through my skin all at once as hair covered my body.

I ripped off my red dress that I had put on this morning. It was too hot. My skin was on fire. I then suddenly shifted into a wolf. My wolf.

I lay on the wet floor. I looked down to where my arm would be to see a paw that was bright red. The rest of me was pure black!

Then I felt the pain again and I was pushed back into human form. I just did my first shift!

Misty's POV

I followed the others deep into the woods. For the first time in my life I feared them. The low trees. The tick trunks the green leaves all seemed to be closing in on us. My heart was beating fast like it was cling to life. What would be found deep in the heart of the woods?

I had never felt fear like this. I had killed hunters and other werewolves before. I had been close to death but this facing the unknown was too much!

We walked in silence for must have been hours. It was getting dark but it was only the afternoon. The woods seemed to be hiding something.

I saw a silhouette of a wolf then in shifted into a person then back into a wolf. We stopped walking and watched as the silhouette changed back to a person again.

The person was crying from the pain of the sudden changes. I could see this was the person first shift. I remembered the pain and pity welled in me. There were no words for the amount of pain you go though when you first shift. You die over and over again. That is what it was. As you get older the pain is not so bad. The Elder have no pain what so ever anymore. When I shift it feels nothing more than being kicked in the guts. But shifting for the first time is like your whole body being ripped apart and then put back together... no that is what it was! Your body can't pick between a wolf and a human so you are both.

I was sick the first time I had shifted. I could not move and I died over 5 times! The person screamed!

It was a girl....

I could feel Connor shaking as he watched the girl change again. We did not dare to go closer. A newly shifted werewolf was unsafe. They could rip you apart before you even knew it. They would keep changing for at least 3 days. This girl was on her first day that was clear.

As the days go on you stop screaming as much. You just lay there crying as you die over and over again! Life seems pointless but you can think more clearly. It is odd. When it comes to your last day of shifting none stop you become a new person. You see life is worth every second!

"Oh god! Poor girl!" Said Gracey as she watched. She seemed to pity her. Well that new she feels for someone other than herself! "We should help her!" Gracey said.

"We can't she would kill us!" I said.

"No we can!" Gracey said "Avery could hold her down with her powers, I could make her feel happy with mine, and you can talk to her! Riley and Connor can get warm cloths and hot water, food and stuff!" Gracey said moving towards the girl.

"WOW you have a heart!" I said moving with her.

"Well I can still remember the pain I went though when I first shifted!" She said simply.

Rohanna's POV

Someone was watching! I was again pulled back into my wolf from. This time I lasted longer about 3 minutes then I was human again. I had been sick a few times after every shift. My skin was burning still and my heart was beating faster than ever! I was having a heart attack every time I shifted. I felt the sickness again and the pain as my bones cracked into the shape of my wolf. The pain was overwhelming! I screamed again!

Avery's POV

I drew my power and pushed. I pinned the small girl down before we saw her. She would be out of her mind. All she would see is red! As soon and my magic touched the girl the writing on my arm burned. Everyone else did too.

"Fuck!" Misty said under her breath.

We where feet away from her now. I withdrew my magic and the girl turned her head....

It was Rohanna!!!

Sorry I have not written/ uploaded for some time! I hope this makes up for it.

The POV changes a bit so sorry about that but I think it was needed in this chapter. Also I wanted to make this into a long chapter. If you didn't understand the POV changes then I will not change then so much next time!!
