Everyone else fell asleep but I stayed awake. Thinking. What if we were tricked? Who is that strange man who gave us pills? Do oracles even exist in real life? Ones that talk and smoke green? I had been very senseless not to think about these before. What about my parents? Will I go back home and say, "Hey, mom, I just went to the moon to defeat a few aliens? By the way, what's for dinner?" No. I should have thought about it before. Even if we get to the so called "moon lord", how on earth do we five kids defeat probably an army of aliens? They might be able to fly or run faster than us or.... do many things I'm not even aware that they could do! I sighed and buried my head in my hands. I gulped down an energy drink. I stared at the brown brick wall in front of me, trying to figure out what exactly I'm doing. I prayed for one thing: The earth must survive - in a good condition. But whatever happened before - the talking aliens, spider ladies, sharp moving obstacles and giant houses - was it all real? We- being agile kids could handle them. It did feel very real to me. I think we would find out everything after we save the world.
Kelly broke into my thoughts by jolting upright from her sleeping position. For a moment I became alert, I raised my hand in reflex. Then I figured out it was just Kelly, probably having a bad dream. I sighed as we both woke the others and started heading forward - wherever the map leads to. Suddenly, a strong wind started blowing. My hair flew back and walking became harder - as if I was climbing up a mountain. "Don't let the map go!" I yelled over to Rahul, who surprisingly heard me over the noise and replied, "I won't! And he didn't, only, the map tore. The wind blew so fast and with a great force that it tore the map and took a large chunk of it along. Tension came over me as I heard the ripping of the map. And I have seen it too with my eyes - it ripping apart into two pieces out of which one blew away. I wanted to punch Rahul for not holding it properly. We still have the walkie talkie but I'm not sure for how long it still could be used. My walkie talkie is in a very bad condition but it still is the best one among us five. The wind suddenly died out. For a few seconds, the wind was not there, not only that even the amount of air started reducing. Panic filled my chest and so did suffocation. I tried breathing but nothing happened, instead, I struggled even more. Gautham took something out of his bag and handed them to each one of us. I took a moment to see what it was and immediately recognized it. It is the same blue pill which the man gave us. I quickly shoved it in my mouth and swallowed it - not having any time to chew thirty two times as our biology teacher said. I felt my chest loosen and I could breathe - normally. I took a deep breath, enjoying every moment of it. Cold air filled my lung and the panic and terror rushed out. After a few minutes of me enjoying breathing, I went up to Rahul, with a serious face. "You let the map tear away." I said, in an angry expression. The others, excluding me and Rahul, also looked serious. After an intense minute of me glaring at him, I decided, "I'm doing this without you. Whoever is with me can follow me." And I walked forward, Kelly following me. Now it's just Kelly and I.
