Aquaria hugged Anna and Elsa tight as they stood on the docks.

"We're gonna miss you so much!" Anna smiled brightly at Aqua.

"I'm gonna miss you both too. It was so much fun to spend a year with you guys," Aquaria said with a bright smile.

"Have fun, Aqua. We will be in contact," Elsa assured and Aqua nodded before hugging Olaf and Sven.

"I'll miss you guys too. Keep working on learning to read, Olaf. Sven, keep begging Kristoff for carrots." Aquaria giggled before hugging Kristoff.

"Be safe, Squirt. We'll see you soon. If Varian tries anything, you let me know." Kristoff ruffled her hair.

"I'll make sure to tell you right away, Kris. Bye everyone!" Aqua waved before getting on the ship.

When the ship pulled away from the dock, Aqua kept waving until she couldn't see her friends anymore.

She turned around and went to find Varian who was playing with Ruddiger. She sat beside him on the bed and smiled only slightly.

"I'm excited to go back home," Aqua said quietly as she looked at Varian nervously.

"It's uh... kinda a mess... especially the throne room..." Varian rubbed the back of his neck.

Aqua hummed and stroked Ruddiger's fur. There was tension between them and Aqua hated it, but she was almost afraid to say anything.

"As long as everyone is safe..." Aqua said after a moment. She glanced towards him, seeing the drawing in his pocket and gently pulled it out, looking at the drawing in shock. "I thought you destroyed this..."

"I was going to but... I couldn't... it's special to me..." Varian said as he looked at the drawing.

Aqua looked at her hands. She was so happy that she had Varian back, but she kept thinking about what he had said to her before.

"Aqua?" Varian looked her with a frown and she immediately started to cry which made him feel awful. "I'm so sorry... you shouldn't have forgiven me... what I did is unforgivable..."

"No... I forgive you... it's just... you told me you hate me and I... it was my fault... I just can't forget it..." Aquaria said and Varian frowned.

Ruddiger squeaked sadly as he ran up onto Aquaria's shoulder's to comfort her.

"Little do you know how I'm breaking while you fall asleep. Little do you know, I'm still haunted by the memories," Aqua started singing and Varian couldn't help but melt as soon as he heard her voice.

"Little do you know, I'm trying to pick myself up piece by piece. Little do you know, I need a little more time," Aqua sang softly and Varian got up, standing in front of her as he grabbed her hands in his gently.

"Underneath it all I'm held captive by the hole inside. I was holding back, hoping that you might change your mind. I'm ready to forgive you, but forgetting is a harder fight. Little do you know, I need a little more time." Aqua looked up into his eyes as she sang.

"I'll wait, I'll wait. I love you like you've never felt the pain, I'll wait. I promise, you don't have to be afraid, I'll wait. The love is here, and here to stay. So lay your head on me," Varian sang back to her as he caressed her cheek gently.

"Little do you know, I know you're hurt while I'm sound asleep. Little do you know all my mistakes are slowly drowning me." Varian felt his heart breaking as he thought about all the awful things he said to her. "Little do you know, I'm trying to make it better piece by piece. Little do you know, I, I love you 'til the sun dies."

"I'll wait, just wait. I love you like I've never felt the pain, just wait. I love you like I've never been afraid, just wait. Our love is here, and here to stay," the two harmonized.

"So lay your head on me." Aqua stood up and grabbed his hands.

"I'll wait," Varian sang as he pulled her close.

"I'll wait," Aquaria echoed as she pulled away.

"I'll wait." Varian pulled her close again and she smiled.

"I'll wait," Aquaria sang back as their fingers laced together.

"I love you like you've never felt the pain," they sang together as they spun around, their eyes glued to the other's eyes

"I'll wait," Varian assured through the song.

"I'll wait," Aquaria's voice rang beautifully.

"I promise you don't have to be afraid, I'll wait. Our love is here, and here to stay. So lay your head on me," their voices melded together as they came closer.

"Lay your head on me," the two sang as they wrapped their arms around each other.

"So lay your head on me." Aquaria rested her head on his chest and Varian rested a hand on her head gently, keeping her close.

"'Cause little do you know, I, I love you 'til the sun dies," Varian sang softly and Aquaria started to cry softly.

"I love you Varian," Aqua said through her tears as she gripped his shirt.

"I love you too, Aquaria. I'm so sorry for everything that I said to you," Varian apologized and he kissed her head gently.

"It's just... I'm so glad to have you back. I was terrified that you were really never gonna love me and I wanted you to hold me close so badly," Aqua whimpered.

"Well I'm holding you close now and I'm never letting go," Varian assured her as he gently wiped her tears off her cheeks.

Ruddiger chittered happily as Varian smiled.

"By the way, I like this new outfit. You definitely look like a royal alchemist." Aqua looked him up and down, brushing his left sleeve gently.

"I have to look the part if I'm gonna date a princess," Varian joked and she laughed a little.

"Are you two okay?" Quirin peered in and the two nodded.

"We're okay, dad," Varian said as he looked up at his dad.

"Just checking in," Quirin said with a smile.

"I'm glad things are getting back to normal," Aquaria said, but Varian looked down.

"Well... Rapunzel gave me the full Demanitus Scroll to decipher... I have no idea how long it will take me," Varian said.

"I'll help you. You have your partner back after all." Aquaria smiled at him lovingly.

"More importantly, I have my best friend back." Varian smiled and cupped her cheek.

"Don't think you're completely off the hook though. I may not hate you or be angry, but that doesn't mean I'm not disappointed in you," Aqua said and Varian nodded.

"I get it. I will work to gain your full trust back. I will do anything for you. I promise," Varian said sincerely and Aqua hummed.

"See, this is why I can't be angry at you! You are so willing to do anything to make it right. That's one of the many things I adore about you." Aqua hugged him tight and he gave a small smile.

"I just know that I don't deserve to be forgiven, but somehow I chose the best girl in the entire world to fall in love with. I didn't even think I was going to get you back. I just... I was so afraid that I would come here and you would've moved on... I don't want to see you love anyone else..." A tear made it's way down Varian's cheek.

"Varian," Aqua murmured as she put a hand on his cheek.

"I want you to be happy and I would totally support you being with someone who makes you happy, but it would kill me if I lost you forever... I would still be happy for you and I would still be here for you whenever you need me, but I don't know if I would ever be able to fall in love with someone like I fell for you... even after I told you that I never wanted to see you again, I really wished that you would come back and talk with me... I would've understood if you didn't want me anymore though..."

"Var, I will always want you. Don't make me sing you another song," she threatened jokingly and Varian laughed lightly. "I may still be disappointed and a bit upset, but I forgive you. Now, let's just relax and we can snuggle until it's time to eat." Aqua lied down and Varian followed suit.

Varian rested his head on her chest and curled against her side, relaxing as she ran a hand through his hair.

He had missed this so much.

Aqua ran from the docks to the palace, excited to see her family. She knew that her parents couldn't remember her, but she was still excited.

She saw Rapunzel and dashed to hug her.

"Aquaria! You're back!" Rapunzel hugged her tight.

"Squirt!" Eugene joined the hug and Aquaria laughed.

"I heard about what happened," Aqua said and Rapunzel hummed, assuming that her knowing included knowing about Cassandra but Aqua didn't know that part.

"Geez, you are faster than I remember," Varian panted out as he came to a stop.

"Sorry, I was excited to see my family." Aqua laughed a little and smiled at him.

"You guys are just in time. Go get unpacked, we're going to get everyone together to help rebuild the palace! It'll be fun!" Rapunzel said and Aqua nodded.

"Alright!"

"Um, do you need any help, Bluebell?" Varian asked and Aqua blushed, but smiled.

"Sure! Come on," Aqua said before they went up to her room.

She started to unpack with Varian's help. When they finished, he picked her up, making her yelp.

"Varian!" She laughed as he carried her out of the room. "I can walk on my own, Var."

"I know but this is more fun," Varian said before he pecked her lips and took her down to the throne room.

Everyone was starting to come in and he set her down, keeping his arms around her waist. Ruddiger sat at their feet and Lance walked over.

"Welcome back, Squirt," Lance said with a smile.

"Thanks, Lance," she said happily, leaning against Varian's chest a bit. Something seemed off though, like something was missing, or someone.

Rapunzel looked at a picture before looking at everyone in the throne room.

"Okay, everyone. After the Saporian attack, this kingdom could use a real pick-me-up," Rapunzel started as she smiled. "And what better way to bring everyone together than with a community project?"

Everyone cheered a bit and Rapunzel grinned proudly.

"With a little hard work and a whole lot of Corona spirit, we can rebuild this kingdom! So, let's do it!" Rapunzel pulled out some shovels and tossed them to everyone.

"Yes!" Eugene said with determination.

"Okay!" Varian smiled brightly.

"Let's do this thang!" Lance grinned but something was bothering Aqua.

Where was Cassandra?
