Quirin stood outside of King Edmund's chambers with Adira as one of the maids tended to the kings illness.

Ever since he attempted to destroy the moonstone, he was gravely ill.

"The stone and its destructive power must be kept secret from the world. It is the Brotherhood's duty to keep that secret, it is King Edmund's dying wish," Quirin said to Adira.

"There is another way. If we could go and find the sundrop, we may-" Adira started to explain.

"Enough!" Hector cut in, hidden in the shadows with his badgers. "The sundrop is a myth, sister."

Adira watched as Hector emerged from the shadows. "It's real, Hector, and its power could neutralize the moonstone."

"Go, go, chase empty legends like a fool, but just know, if you come back, you ain't my fellow brethren. You're a traitor," Hector sneered as he approached Adira, gripping her jaw in his hand. "Sundrop or not, I'll end you.

"Everyone must leave now!" King Edmund ordered and Quirin would never show it, but he felt relief.

All the citizens of the Dark Kingdom crossed the bridge as Quirin watched.

He felt awful about all these families needing to flee their home, but he knew that this was his opportunity to go find Rosamund.

"Your majesty..." Quirin trailed off as the king passed him and a maid.

"I said everyone," Edmund repeated.

Quirin nodded to the maid who then went to the nursery to grab the prince. Once he made sure that the prince was secure and out of the kingdom, he was on his way.

Rose was cleaning up her lab after a minor explosion and tears trickled down her cheeks.

She looked at the painting she kept of Quirin and she started to sob.

She doubted she would ever see him again and it broke her heart. It had been more than six months since she received a letter back from him.

Rosamund desperately wanted to believe that he still loved her, but she was positive that he had found another.

She grabbed the painting and sobbed as she curled up on the floor beside her desk.

There was a knock at her door and she wiped her cheeks. She walked to the door and opened it slowly.

"Hello, can I help- you..." Rosamund froze when she saw Quirin standing on her doorstep.

"Rosie... it's you..." Quirin smiled bright as tears came to his eyes.

"H-how do I know it's really you? How do I know you aren't here to kill me?" Rose faltered, having been tricked once by the king of Eden.

"Rosie, I promise. It's me. We met in the woods when you were saving a wolf pup that had been stuck in a trap. I helped you get the pup back to its mother. You didn't trust me with your name so you told me to call you Nobody, but I didn't like that so I called you Artemis because you saved a wolf pup," Quirin said and Rose trembled as she nearly leapt into his arms.

Quirin kissed her quickly as he held her close to him.

"I missed you so much!" Rose cried after pulling away. "I-I thought that you didn't love me anymore. I thought that I lost you forever."

"I made you a promise. I'm back. You are the only woman I have and will ever love. The Dark Kingdom was evacuated so I came as soon as I could," Quirin explained.

"Why did you stop writing back? It's been almost seven months since I last heard from you." Rose clutched him tight, afraid that she was dreaming, that maybe she hit her head during the explosion and she was just hallucinating.

"The Dark Kingdom was evacuated almost seven months ago. You could never tell me where you were so I looked everywhere for you. I'm never letting go of you ever again. I promise," Quirin murmured as he buried his face in her neck.

He was so glad to finally have her back, and nothing was ever gonna make him let go again.

Varian panted as he lied on the plush grass. "This is so exhausting. Am I even getting any better?"

Carmen chuckled lightly. "You are. Trust me. You are progressing. The stronger you get, the less power it will take from you."

"I know when I started learning how to use my magic it was really draining," Aqua spoke up from the blanket she was sitting on, grooming Ruddiger happily.

"You make it look so easy though," Varian grumbled as he looked over at his girlfriend.

"Because it is, but it wasn't always. Why do you think I passed out when I stopped Old Corona from flooding. I could probably do that now with no problem," Aqua said and Carmen hummed.

"Now, come on. You only have a couple more hours before you are going home," Carmen replied and Varian sat up.

"Yep! We have to help Eugene and Rapunzel. They are getting married in two days," Aqua said excitedly and Varian chuckled lightly. "Cass is coming back for the wedding too!"

Varian chuckled, happy to see Aquaria was smiling. He got up and started again.

"Alright. Now just concentrate on what you want to see," Carmen instructed and in front of them appeared an image of Aquaria and Ruddiger perked up, looking at the magical live image of him and Aquaria.

Aqua looked at the image and smiled brighter. "That's awesome. Hello!" She waved and the image waved to Varian.

They continued working for the rest of the time they had before going back to the palace.

"I'm definitely taking a nap on the way back," Varian murmured as he walked up to the carriage after all the formal goodbyes.

"Me too, but I know that you're exhausted," Aqua said softly as she got into the carriage, Ruddiger snuggled up on her shoulders.

Varian got in behind her before sitting beside her.

Aquaria let him lie down so his head was in her lap. She trailed her fingers through his hair gently with a soft hum.

Varian closed her eyes, falling asleep immediately.

Ruddiger climbed down and curled up on Varian's back.

Aqua smiled as she stroked the raccoon's fur with her free hand. She leaned her head to the side and drifted off.

Varian woke up to Eugene poking him.

"Hey, goggles, wake up," Eugene urged as he looked at the alchemist.

He groaned as he sat up and looked to see Aquaria was still asleep, leaning against the side of the carriage.

"Squirt, you're home," Eugene said as he poked Aqua.

She mumbled something as her eyes fluttered open.

Ruddiger crawled up onto her shoulder and patted her face.

"I'm up," she murmured, smiling at Ruddiger.

"Good, because you may wanna see who's here," Eugene said and Aqua furrowed her brows.

"Who is it?" She asked curiously.

"Go see. Check the family room," Eugene replied which made her get up quickly.

Varian followed her as she ran to the family room in the palace.

Aquaria's eyes brightened when she saw some familiar faces.

"Elsa! Anna! Kristoff! Olaf!" Aqua ran over and hugged them all tight. "I've missed you guys!"

"We missed you too, Squirt," Kristoff said as he ruffled her hair. He then looked at Varian who was smiling at the scene. "I expect that you've been taking good care of her."

Varian chuckled lightly and shook his head. "Honestly, she's the one taking care of me. She doesn't need me to take care of her, but I do what I can."

"That's good," Kristoff replied and Anna rolled her eyes with a laugh.

"What happened to your hair? It's brown again," Anna noticed and Aqua laughed lightly.

"Oh, we fought an ancient demon lady and she used magic which turned my hair back to normal," Aqua explained.

"That sounds intense," Olaf said as he looked at her with wide eyes.

"And you've gotten a lot taller since we last saw you," Kristoff pointed out as he looked at Varian who nodded.

"Yep! Aqua can't say the same," Varian teased with a chuckle, earning a grimace from his girlfriend.

"What else have you been up to?" Elsa asked curiously.

"Well, Varian has magic so we are trying to help him learn and control it. Also, the two if us are trying to get to the Ever Realm," Aqua explained.

"The Ever Realm? But that's just a children's tale. It doesn't actually exist. Does it?" Anna asked and Varian hummed.

"It does. We think my mother is in the Ever Realm so we have to get her home," Varian explained to them.

"Well, I hope that you have luck finding your mother," Elsa replied with a warm smile.

"Oh! Also, we wanted to ask if you guys wanted to come to Arendelle in November for the Harvest Festival," Anna offered excitedly.

"Of course! That would be so much fun!" Aqua agreed and Varian nodded with a smile. "That's perfect too because maybe Grand Pabbie could help us. I didn't even think that he may know."

"I'd love to meet him, too," Varian said, having heard about the trolls from Aquaria, but he had never met them.

"I'd love to come as well, but I've gotta be there to get ready for the Day of Thanks in Corona in November," Rapunzel said and Anna frowned.

"Aww, darn. We'll have to find a time for you and Eugene to come visit," Anna said to which Raps nodded.

"Definitely," Rapunzel agreed and Frederic hummed.

"We could go," the former king spoke as he held his wife close and Aqua smiled at her parents.

"That would be great!" Anna replied with a bright smile.

"We would love to have you all over," Elsa spoke as she smiled at everyone.

"Now come on! We all need to catch up!" Anna practically dragged Rapunzel and Aquaria out of the room.

Elsa and Arianna followed so all the girls could get caught up.

Varian chuckled lightly as he watched the girls leave.

Aqua was laughing in the garden as she sat in a circle with Anna, Elsa, Aqua, and Arianna.

"Lance has basically decided that he wants Aquaria and Varian to name their kid Dixie or Lloyd, depending on the gender," Rapunzel said which made Anna and Elsa laugh.

"I'm still not sure though," Aqua spoke up with a blush. "I mean, we aren't having children any time soon, so we really don't have to think about it."

"I like those names though. I like the name Phoebe," Anna said with a grin.

"Oo, that is a cute one," Arianna agreed.

"What about Hunter?" Elsa suggested and Rapunzel nodded. "Or even Luka."

"I love it!" Rapunzel gushed and Aquaria's face was bright red.

"Travis is cute," Arianna said as she thought about some more names. "Or Bryan."

"I think we broke her," Anna joked when she saw Aqua curled up in embarrassment.

Rapunzel laughed lightly and smiled at her little sister before a familiar woman walked up to the group behind Rapunzel.

Aqua smiled bright as she shot to her feet.

"What is it?" Rapunzel looked at Aqua with concern before she turned her gaze to where Aqua was looking.

She gasped and scrambled up, the two running to the woman who had walked into the garden.

"Cass!" They cheered in unison.

"I didn't know you were coming!" Rapunzel exclaimed as the three hugged each other tight.

"You think I would miss you getting married, Raps?" Cass laughed lightly.

She had sent word to Eugene that she was coming, but she had said in the letter to keep it a secret from Rapunzel.

Eugene of course could rarely keep a secret, so he told Aqua and Varian, but successfully kept it from Rapunzel.

"I'm so happy that you're here. I missed you so much," Rapunzel replied as Elsa and Anna watched them curiously.

"I missed you all too. So, who are your new friends?" Cass asked as she motioned to the Arendellian royals.

"Oh, right! This is Queen Elsa and Princess Anna of Arendelle," Aqua introduced, gesturing to each respectively. "Guys, this is Cassandra."

"It's a pleasure to meet you," Elsa spoke respectfully as she smiled at Cassandra.

"The pleasure is mine, your highness," Cass replied, returning the smile.

"You're the one Aqua told us about. She told us that you were an amazing swordsman and that you taught her everything she knows about fighting," Anna said as she remembered when Aqua stayed in Arendelle for a little over a year.

Cass chuckled lightly as she nodded. "Yep, that's me."

"Come on! Come on! I wanna hear all about what you've been up to lately!" Rapunzel said, pulling Cass over to sit back down so they could all talk.

Aquaria was helping Rapunzel tie up her dress for the wedding.

Normally a maid would do it, but since it was a special day, Aqua had offered to do it.

Cass then put on the train and smiled at her friend. "You look gorgeous, Raps."

"Thank you," Rapunzel said with a smile, tears coming to her eyes.

"Don't cry, Raps! You're gonna make me cry!" Aqua scolded playfully and they all hugged again.

"I just can't believe that this is actually happening. I've dreamed of this for so long and now, it still feels like one of those dreams," Rapunzel admitted with a smile. "This is the best day of my life."

"Eugene is gonna be speechless when he sees you," Elsa said as she walked over to them.

"You know, that reminds me. When are you gonna find a man, Cass?" Aqua asked teasingly and Cass laughed.

"Whenever the right one comes along, but I'm not too worried about that. I'm perfectly fine on my own," Cass admitted, not having really thought about finding a lover.

"And what about you, Elsa? When are you gonna find your Jack Frost?" Rapunzel asked with a smile.

"Oh, I don't know about that. I'm not really looking for a boyfriend right now," Elsa replied as she rubbed her arm.

"Well-" Aqua started before there was a knock on the door.

"Are you girls ready? We're about the let everyone be seated," Nigel spoke from outside the door.

"We're coming!" Aqua called with a bright smile. "Come on! It's go time!"

They were all squealing, save for Cass and Elsa, as they all ran out of the room.

Varian smiled when he saw Aquaria come over to him. His eyes widened when he saw her and his cheeks heated up.

Ruddiger perked up when he saw Aqua and he chittered happily.

"Wow, you look amazing," Varian complimented when she sat down between him and Arianna.

"Not as amazing as Rapunzel. Eugene is gonna be floored," Aqua said as she giggled, slipping her hand into his.

She smiled at Quirin who was sat on the opposite side of Varian. He smiled back and Aqua leaned her head on Varian's shoulder.

The music played smoothly and Max came down the aisle with the wedding rings on a velvet pillow. Pascal sat on his head, tossing out flowers from a little basket.

When Rapunzel appeared in the doorway, everyone turned to look at her.

Frederic joined her and they started down the aisle.

As soon as Eugene got a good look at his soon-to-be wife, his eyes were wide.

"Wow," the priest spoke.

"Wow," Eugene breathed in awe.

"Wow," Shorty said before Eugene shoved him away with a grimace.

Fred handed Rapunzel off and took his place between his wife and youngest daughter.

Rapunzel smiled bright as she stood in front of Eugene.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate the joining of Rapunzel and Eugene in marriage," the priest began and Aqua smiled even more.

Eugene felt so incredibly lucky to be marrying the gorgeous woman in front of him.

"They will live their lives together as husband and wife in everlasting peace and the mutual respect which they bring to their life together had their roots in the love and friendship and guidance you have given them. The union of two people who love each other sincerely, who honor each other as individuals, and who wish to unite their lives and share the future together," the priest continued.

Everyone listened as Aqua glanced over to see that Pascal and Max were missing.

"Where are Max and Pascal?" Aqua whispered to Varian quickly and he looked over, shrugging.

"Eugene Fitzherbert, will you take Rapunzel Der Sonne to be your wife to live together as friend and mate? Will you love her as a person, respect her as an equal, sharing joy as well as sorrow, triumph as well as defeat. And keep her beside you as long as you both shall live?" The priest looked to Eugene.

"Yes," Eugene replied with a smile.

"Rapunzel Der Sonne, will you take Eugene Fitzherbert to be your husband to live together as friend and mate? Will you love him as a person, respect him as an equal, sharing joy as well as sorrow, triumph as well as defeat. And keep him beside you as long as you both shall live?" The priest looked to Rapunzel.

"Yes," Rapunzel spoke happily, so excited about this.

"Now, will you please turn and face one another and join hands to express your vows," the priest said so the couple did as requested. "We call marriages “unions”, not because some legal agreement is being entered into, but because two hearts are being molded together. So you share your joys and hope as well as your sorrows and despairs. It’s a molding of two hearts that will only remain strong by staying vulnerable, pure, and devoted."

Aqua imagined what it would be like to be up there with Varian one day. She knew that they had a way to go, but it was a nice thought."

"Do you, Eugene Fitzherbert, take Rapunzel Der Sonne, to be your wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do you part?"

"I do," Eugene answered as he gazed into Rapunzel's eyes.

"Do you, Rapunzel Der Sonne, take Eugene Fitzherbert, to be your husband to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do you part?"

"I do," Rapunzel answered as well, her eyes sparkling with pure love for the man standing before her.

"May you both stand together united in everlasting peace. May I have the rings?" The priest requested and everyone looked to see Max and Pascal back, however they were covered in tar.

Max had a cute girly outfit on that was tarnished by the tar and dirt.

Rapunzel gasped when she saw the too, taking completely by surprise.

Max just proudly walked up with the rings on the pillow and held them out, the couple and priest leaning away from the two tar ridden animals.

Eugene carefully stepped forward and snatched the rings off the pillow.

"I... I... I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss," the priest said, stepping aside.

Rapunzel was bouncing on the balls of her feet before she quickly kissed Eugene.

Everyone cheered as the newly wedded couple kissed and Aqua smiled bright.

She hugged her parents, Varian, Quirin, and Ruddiger tight.

"Happy Birthday!" Shorty shouted from his seat as everyone celebrated.

Cassandra clapped with a smile and she laughed lightly. "You did it, Raps. You fulfilled your destiny for sure."

"So! Who wants a piece of cake?!" Eugene exclaimed and Rapunzel laughed as she hugged her husband.

Everyone made their way out to the courtyard and Aqua laced her fingers with Varian's.

"Hey, I'm gonna be right back. I'm gonna get into something more comfortable," Aqua said before she pecked his lips.

"Alright. I'll wait for you with the others," Varian replied and then watched as she ran off.

Frederic put a hand on Varian's shoulder happily. "Both my daughters made an amazing choice."

Varian smiled up at the former king and sighed softly. "I'm really glad that Aqua chose me. She's everything to me. I just want to see her happy."

"Well, you make her happier than anything else from what I've seen. Nothing has been able to make her smile as bright as she does when she's with you," Fred replied as they walked out with the crowd.

Varian was proud to be able to say that he was Aquaria's boyfriend. He wouldn't want to call anyone else his.
